Counting the business owner, three plumbers came today. This time my initial request was to replace two faucets. The plumbers who came to give an estimate a week ago discovered that the cold water valve needed replacing. Notice must be given to building residents 3-4 days in advance of water shutoffs per my HOA rules. A few months after the first time I needed this plumbing company, a contractor working on remodeling my kitchen should have found the valve problem. But since he did not, the silver lining is the quality of the work by this company. I have complete faith that the replacement valve will work perfectly since they installed it. They showed me the plastic valve they replaced and how it would not turn at all. We all liked the faucets I chose for them to install. In the bathroom my glass waterfall faucet has LED lights to indicate cold, warm and hot water. After installing it the plumber showed me a video of the lights working before I went in to try it myself. The kitchen faucet is a Moen which looks nice to start with, and has some great functionality. As the handle is turned for the water the head floats down a little. Then it is possible to select an angle for the head to remain, for example 45 degrees. It will stay in the selected position while the water runs. The owner took a video for himself! Besides the top quality of the work, I appreciate the polite and respectful manners of the owner and all the plumbers.

On 12/28/2023 the two men from Langley had talked to my dad about the leak and let him know they would tell him when they were leaving. They went to the glass door and my dad did not respond. As this wasn't an emergency, the dispslatcher said it would be today or tomorrow before a plumber would be sent. He was sent today. Sean called and arrived early afternoon and looked at the repair. He presented us three options and solid estimates. We chose the middle one and then decided to also ask about a toilet replacement. Again, Sean presented us options and we agreed to one He gave us. As he didn't have the toilet on his repair truck, Bee's dispatched an employee with a new toilet. Sean was very professional in his work, answering questions as he proceeded with the work. He mentioned a couple of things that needed replacing due to their aging. We agreed to have them replaced. When Sean presented the invoice, it was exactly as he stated. They repeatedly said this is only an attempt to repair. While they did say I that I didn't have to choose any options, they stood there creating a pressure situation. I picked the tub sealing option since it seemed most straight forward, again with no guarantee of fixing the leak. I asked why a tub caulking would be ~$900, and the technician began to oversell the difficulty of the job and the "high quality" sealant they would use. I approved the quote with that belief, only to see they did the job in 40 minutes and used a caulk that I could have bought in Lowes for $5. I've asked their management for a review and have been stonewalled. I had higher expectations for Bee's Plumbing given the reviews and referrals but left very disappointed. I've attached the caulk, tub caulking and contract from Bee's to show what happened. Would you pay $900 for this?
