Guys, S T E V E, is probably one of the few best salesperson I have ever met in the bay-area.... It's was last minute & I was shopping for an high end boot luckily this place carry's both WHITES & NICKS Hand made boots. I came to the store 5 minutes before closing time & Steve treated me with polite and welcoming service! He is extremely knowledgeable with the product, both the quality built and history of the product!. I have learned so much in a few minutes in time. I literally bought the boots in a few minutes time! Totally worth it! The customer service is just amazing! Highly recommend this

It was time to get a new pair of Brooks Beast and my wife also wanted to look for new shoes, so we went back to Ryan's Sport Shop. We were greeted by Steve, who per usual was friendly and informative. I had stopped by a week earlier to order my Brooks Beast 20's and Steve called when they came-in. I ordered the Blackened Peal/Black/Red ones this time. Steve already has me on file, so I knew they would fit perfectly. The Brooks Beast 23's won't be out till later this year, so I'll see if my Beast 18's will hold-out till then. My wife also got a new pair of Brooks Adrenaline GTS 22's. She's become a Brooks convert and we only get our shoes from Ryan's. Steve's attitude, along with his knowledge make it the perfect place for us to get new shoes. Steve has a no-nonsense approach and is very helpful. My wife and I don't go anywhere else to get new tennis shoes. We were sorry to hear of Steve's dad's passing though. Gary was really knowledgeable and friendly to me over the years.

The Fix Kicks - Where the Sneaker Game Feels Like Home…read more I still remember the first time I stepped into The Fix Kicks in Santa Clara it was like walking into sneaker heaven. I opened that door and boom instant chills. I was surrounded by walls full of heat: Jordan 1s, Yeezys, Dunks, pairs I'd only ever seen on Instagram. Then I turned the corner and saw the Funko Pop wall, and I swear, it felt like I was in the middle of a dream. But here's where the story gets even better. It wasn't just the shoes or the collectibles it was the energy. The vibes. The people behind the counter weren't just employees they were sneakerheads like me. They greeted me like I'd been coming there for years, asked me what I was into, chopped it up with me like we were homies. From that very first visit, I knew this wasn't your average shop. This was family. Since then, I've bought kicks, sold pairs, and each time I leave, I walk out with a smile. Not just because of the shoes but because of how I was treated. They take care of you at The Fix Kicks. They're real ones. Fair prices, honest deals, no funny business just a team that truly loves what they do and puts their heart into every interaction. It's rare to find a spot like this. They've created more than just a store they've built a community. A place where sneaker culture is alive, respected, and celebrated. So if no one's told y'all yet: Fix Kicks, I'm giving you your flowers today. Thank you for the good vibes, the unforgettable experiences, and for always holding it down for sneaker lovers like me. Much love to the whole team y'all are legends.

They are usually firm with prices. Another thing that is a downside of this place is selling your things to them they will lowball the hell out of you and resell it 2x higher than what they ask from you. So I advise you not to sell to them either. Honestly if you wanna buy or sell sneakers I prefer a better sneaker shop 3 miles away from this place which is called Sole Priority.

They're expensive, and when you need them for comfort and support, you really don't want to get it wrong. I spent over an hour here and never felt rushed once. Liz took the time to answer questions, help me try different options, and even helped me order a different color. The store started getting really busy, and there were a few customers complaining, but she handled everything like a total pro while still making sure I felt taken care of. Great customer service is hard to find these days, and she absolutely delivered!

The shoe selection is carefully curated - and by that I mean that you'll only find higher-quality footwear, but also that your selections are going to be limited. For the men's shoes, there very limited choices for dress shoes, needed for my work, and I'm on my feel for a lot of the day. In fact, on a recent trip there really only was one pair of Eccos that would have worked. There are more casual, non-athletic men's shoes, and a larger selection of sneakers like Hoka. They have an okay rewards program - you get a point for every buck you spend, and when you accumulate 300 points then you get $20 off your next purchase. Essentially it's about a 6.7% rebate, and it hooks you back in to spend even more money! Be aware of the expiration dates of the rewards, however. Look out for brochures or emails with a 15% coupon as well.

My boyfriend and I came in to return a pair of shoes, but we were apparently confused about the return/exchange policy--or perhaps it wasn't explained clearly when we originally purchased them. We were under the impression that returns and exchanges could be made within 90 days of purchase. When we arrived, we were told that our shoes could only be exchanged, not returned. That wasn't the issue. Once the policy was explained, we understood it. What made the experience frustrating was the attitude we received from multiple employees. The staff kept repeating the policy over and over, and it started to feel less like they were helping us understand and more like they were talking down to us. One sales associate, Vlad, was especially condescending. He compared our situation to buying a used car, driving it around, scratching it up, and then expecting a full refund. He repeatedly pointed out scuffs on the shoes, even after we acknowledged and understood the policy. The comparison felt unnecessary, and his tone came across as rude rather than helpful. Later, after Vlad went on break, we were assisted by Chris at the register. He was able to process the exchange onto a gift card, which we appreciated, but he also seemed to be in a bad mood and wasn't particularly friendly. Maybe it was just an off day for the staff, but the overall customer service at this location was disappointing. If you have the option, I'd recommend going to the Campbell location instead. I've consistently had much better experiences there.

We booked the bike about a week in advance for a full day for $65, and it was ready for pickup when we arrived. The staff did a safety inspection and let us know that helmets are included with the rental and that we could return the bike to any Sports Basement location. My friend also asked if they could leave their backpack there, and the staff kept it behind the desk, which was really nice. The bike was in good condition! We rode it for 4-5 hours with no issues. A few things I wanted to point out - the seat was pretty narrow and hard, which made it uncomfortable to sit on. It had been a while since I last biked, so I'm not sure if I just need to wear padded shorts or if the seat wasn't the right fit for me. Another thing is that I couldn't sit in the front because the seat was too tall for me to comfortably reach the pedals, and there didn't seem to be an easy way to adjust the height. Lastly, it would've been nice to have a phone mount on the handlebar for navigation. We turned in the bike at the end of the day. Overall, the process was very smooth, the staff were friendly, and the rental was affordable. I would do it again, but I'd wear padded shorts next time :)
