Proceed with caution. I had a highly confrontational experience here yesterday that was completely unnecessary. The owner and mechanic are verbally aggressive to their own customers and had no problem chasing me off the lot and being told "we hope you never come back". I like to support small, family businesses here in Windsor but the intentional disregard for the families and community that supports these businesses, to not show the most basic level of professionalism and customer service to all of their clients is not excusable. I would never tell a guest not to return to my business, in fact, I would do anything to make sure everyone leaving my business is satisfied and excited to come back and tell their friends. I would highly recommend Ryan's Automotive Repair shop. Ryan is very professional and honest - offering old-fashion customer service with no up-sells or gimmicks. I brought my vehicle in for a heating issue and some maintenance work that my tire shop recommended. Ryan reviewed the problems I was having along with a full vehicle inspection. He located the heating problem and reviewed the recommendations from the other shop, some of which he felt were not needed. I called for a oil change and tire rotation, I told him I have the oil, my car takes 0w 30 mobil 1, (almost all shops in sonoma county dont carry), he said that they dont do that. WTF... IT'S AUTOMOTIVE , but then I read on yelp he can do jet ski's, bad bussiness, rude people. I have never been turned down for basic maintenance from a shop before. All the 5 star reviews are most likely family and friends.(FROM YOUR REPLY) From other reviews you always have excuses to make it look like the customer is wrong. Just man up and say we have poor communication skills and service.(no customer supplied parts) my oil is sealed from the manufacturer, what could go wrong? Your shop is a joke!! read more

I have had multiple service's and repairs done on both my vehicles here, Ryan is honest and does great work.

I used this company to have my vehicles Intox a lock serviced there and things went great for about 7 months. Yesterday my vehicle calibration was due and I called to see if they had my device in stock yet. I was told they did not and that shipments had already been delivered. I called Intox a lock who told me that my shipment had arrived on the Friday of last week. I called back. Ryans automotive is run by Ryan the owner and his wife sherry. They have been extremely understanding and kind up until today and I was under the impression it was because of sherry's own experience with intoxalock. Today all of that changed. I could not start my car because it had not been serviced by midnight last night. When I called sherry to ask what to do she said it was my problem, got angry and defensive and told me they were no longer going to service me. It was rude, disrespectful, and dishonest on an issue that I deal with monthly under way different conditions. And that service costs $25/ month. How dishonest and shady are they being on service orders of more expensive matters? Needless to say, I won't recommend them and highly suggest anyone else take their business somewhere else. It was very upsetting after the relationship I had built with them to be talked to and treated this way. I am now having to overnight a new unit have my car towed, and be locked out of my car due to this situation. All of this is extra money out of my pocket. My boss called them as well because he has a voluntary ordered device placed in his work truck for company use, and Ryan was rude to him and hung up him also. I brought a car in a few weeks ago to get a "free" estimate. His wife called me a few days later and told me a price and told me to let her know in a few days if I want them to start the repair. I decided to take my car elsewhere to get a second opinion and told them I was coming in to pick it up, they surprisingly charged me for work Ryan started on my vehicle, I never gave them the authority to start the repair. I will never take a vehicle to them again. They shouldn't offer a "free" assessment of a vehicle and then charge someone. Horrible customer service experience. read more
