Unfortunately if I could give a zero star review I would. Such an awful experience from the second we walked in. We had been shopping at the mall and this place was so close. I have had it saved in my collections to remind myself to stop when nearby. Today was the day. We walked in around 2pm. There were three customers inside. One was already eating and had a drink item, and the other two were waiting on their items. We stood at the counter for a good five minimum without out even has much as a hello. There were three employees. There was eye contact and no one even stopped to greet us. NOTHING. Finally a girl employee finally said she'd be with us in a moment and then her and another employee just started talking and then making drinks. I decided although I thought it was so rude and crummy service to not at-least have someone manning the register and taking a quick order...While waiting I looked around. They had complimentary water out and you couldn't pay me to drink it. It was filmy and milky looking and the sliced lime and the bottom looked like it had been in there for days. It's the details that get me. 4-5 more minutes passed. No more acknowledgment, no apologies, no other help. At this point we decided to take our money else where. Even when we turned to leave nothing wa said to draw is back. They offer a $10 check in offer between 11-3. They should save their money. They'll need it to stay in business. I agree, this place deserves more hype! I hate to see the locations dwindling down when they have the absolute best watermelon slushes ever! It's seriously like sucking a watermelon through a straw. If you're a watermelon fan, it is a must. I saw how highly rated this restaurant was and decided to try it out myself. First and foremost, it had a cute concept and loved how nice their menu appeared. I ordered their garlic butter wings with Cajun wings and ube milkshake. The garlic butter wings might as well be called extra salty wings instead. The wings were overly salty, made my throat itch, inedible, and unappetizing. The Cajun fries were salty as well and felt like I was going to get hypertension from eating their food. The ube shake looked pretty but it's just vanilla with purple food coloring. The shake is definitely Instagram worthy and better than what I expected. Decided to give this place a try after seeing a Facebook ad. Naturally I had high hopes for this place because the photos of the food looked amazing. Came in today on a rainy day after a long hike with my boyfriend, both of us were starving and needed nourishment. To make the long story short, the food was phenomenal! I ordered the Crispy Wings Combo in Garlic/Salt flavor and the sound of the crunch was exactly what I was looking for. Who doesn't like a perfectly crispy wing because this guy does! My boyfriend ordered the Chicken Tender Combo in the same flavor and he said that the flavor was amazing. This was my second visit to Zero Degrees and my first time to the Glendale location. The Glendale location is a tad on the small side. We had chicken pieces, elotes with hot Cheetos, Cajun fries, and Ube Milkshakes. Overall everything tasted wonderful, although the shakes could have been blended better and the elotes was (temp) a tad cool. All the food tasted great tho! Overall I would give 4 1/2 stars and would recommend they fix the following mentioned issues. We would defiantly go back again tho! read more

When you walk in, there is this aroma that is similar to sewage. Therefore that was very unpleasant for us first time customers. We ordered the mangonada and xxtra hot cheetos elotes. First, the Mangos were incredibly ripe and had a sour taste. I understand its not in season, but a mango doesn't stay ripe forever. Give it time to mature before serving. Or just take it off the menu? Simple as that. Second, the elotes were complete horror. You taste nothing but powder and dryness. They need to rethink that idea, for which is not a bad one but rather a cheap attempt. You have a huge layer of powder cheese and hot cheeto powder, which makes it a spoonful of dry corn. Save your money, because you're better off going next door to ModPizza. read more

We finally checked this place out tonight after months of considering it every time it popped up on my page. We had a little issue, as we were told *after* we ordered and paid that our food would take 25 minutes. And it wasn't "oh I'm sorry, I was just told that your food is going to take half an hour." The cashier rang us up, then told us immediately after we paid. We had our baby with us and just wanted something quick to take home. For that wait we could have taken him to a more kid friendly restaurant that had high chairs and food he could actually eat. But the wait didn't end up being so long because all we got was the xxxtra hot elote plate (with Cajun French fries) and a Thai tea with boba. And oh my gawd the elote was so good. I was expecting an actual corn cob, because that's the only elote I've ever had, but I was glad it was loose corn; there was more of it, and it was easier to eat, too. The fries were also delicious, like mashed potatoes in a crispy seasoned skin, and not too greasy. The Thai tea was good, not amazing, and they were a little skimpy with the boba for such a large drink. But overall I was really excited about this place, which might become my new guilty pleasure. Bubble tea is decent there. A little bit sugary though so just be aware if you don't like sweet bubble teas. They use real fruit as toppings which is a nice feature. Their lunch deal is great though! And I really like their garlic noodles and shrimp. Def recommend that! read more

Let me start off by saying I frequent boba and drink places, and this is the most hyped up let down of all drink places. Had the Lychee iced slush. You drink half and the rest is ice. Same thing with their mango green tea. Half full of ice by the time you drink it, so it starts out with probably 3/4 full of ice. Not only that, the SHAKE was watery!!! Who adds ice to a shake? However, I wish they had a picture menu because what comes on the items is not stated in the explanation that's on the menu. Also I ordered a lunch special that came with an egg in the description, but then noticed when I got home that I was charged extra for the egg. On their menu board it says to check in with Yelp for free topping or it was $0.50. I checked in with Yelp and let them know and she said "Oh, we don't do that anymore." That is fine, but I wish they could have deleted/covered that on the menuboard or had some type of sign saying that offer wasn't valid anymore. I will definitely return. This place needs a surprise visit from the authorities to check if the drinks they serve are even safe to drink. They DO NOT make their milk teas fresh daily. Read on and you will understand why. I frequent this joint often on weekends, they have pretty good boba teas imo in the Phoenix area. Usually order the milk teas, which they are not able to adjust the sweetness levels like some other boba tea places do. Tried their chicken wings and popcorn chicken, I would rate them a 3 for food and 4 for drinks. Usually a Long wait for drinks and even longer wait for food. HOWEVER, went in for milk tea again recently and I tasted it on the spot and it tasted SOUR, nothing like what I usually get! I tasted it again thinking there's something wrong w my tastebuds but the milk tea is still sour! Told the girl over the counter and she spoke to her manager about it. Manager tasted the tea and just poured me another cup from a different jug and gave it to me. NEVER APOLOGISED AT ALL. Manager: that batch of tea we gave u was made 4 days ago and teas tend to go bitter by that time... WHAT DID I JUST HEAR!? Me: so the tea u gave me earlier has gone bad? Manager: it just got bitter (refusing to admit the tea is spoilt) Me: SPEECHLESS, it is SOUR not BITTER, I have drank so much tea in my life I would know what is bitter and what is sour ffs. I have been here a handful of times and each time I try a different drink and there is nothing that I'm completely "wow'd" by yet. They definitely look beautiful with their marshmallows and candies attached, but the taste is lackluster. I do want to commend the food though. It's delicious! We've had the kimchi fried rice, garlic noodles with shrimp, elote and the salt & pepper popcorn chicken (mild). Everything was great. The only thing, and this is a personal thing, I don't like to peel my shrimp. Now I don't know if you're supposed to eat the whole shell, but ALL the flavoring is on the shell so when I peeled the shrimp, there was much left to be desired. This is a new spot that has been opened for about 7 months now and it's still a go-to dessert spot for our family. On my recent visit, I tried the Coffee Horchata and I was certainly amazed! For some odd reason, I was craving horchata at the time but I also needed my daily dose of caffeine. I saw the option and without a doubt, did not even dare to second guess my choice. It blew doors on my usual vanilla iced chai that I get from Starbucks. Did I mention that hot cheetos are a 5/5? Well, they have the option of hot cheeto cheese fries. Sounds terrible I know!
