I go here occasionally when I have to make a trip to Augusta. Which is a few times a year. The staff seems friendly. The food is pretty good. If you know anything about the cafeterias, you know that it's home cooking style for the most part. It would be great if the place could get a nice interior update to give it a fresh look. I do recommend, and as of now, I will continue to go back, usually for lunch, but dinner is just as good, whenever I visit Augusta. One thing I have noticed about Augusta, maybe it's just me or because I don't live there, but the people there seem a little bit nicer than where I'm from, just outside Atlanta.

down on Walton Way they also have a take-out shop

Visited an old friend today. Yes the S&S cafeteria on Walton Way. It was always a treat when our parents would make the drive from Aiken to eat at now gone location in North Augusta. Lunch time today and it did not disappoint. Cafeteria style from salads to bread. I had the salmon patty with broccoli casserole and fried okra. And of course a piece of egg custard pie. The food was great and tasty like I have always had. Service was spot on and wonderful from our server Casey . If you have never been or it's been awhile go check it out. That comfort food does your soul good...

Classic. American. Cuisine. We don't get it this way anymore. Everything is great about S&S, and the Kids plate is the best value in town.

Located on the 3rd floor of Eisenhower Army Medical Center, Ike's Cafe (IC) seems to be the one and…read moreonly cafeteria in the hospital, but I also didn't wander too far off from the office I was visiting. When I asked staff for places to eat, it's the only place they suggested, so I am assuming it's the only one, or at least the only one they see worth visiting. It seems like IC changed their operating hours in August of 2019 due to some staff shortages. IC offers a variety of hot food and packaged-grab-and-go items like sandwiches, salads, yogurts, chips, fruits etc. For hot food, they offered 2+ specials at meal times (only 2 indicated on the menu board) and also had a secondary hot bar with breakfast items (maybe they serve breakfast all day?) The first day I was there, the menu indicated Fried Pork and Meatloaf, but there was also Chili Mac and Chicken Wings. There were various sides to choose from. I got Fried Pork, Mashed Potatoes with Gravy, boiled cauliflower (no seasoning), a bottle of water and large chocolate chip cookies (2 in a pack) and a bottle of water was under $6. On the second day, I got Fried Catfish with rice and tomatoes. I guess the Catfish is pricier because the meal on the second day with one less side and less items totaled up to more. Anyway, the prices were still pretty cheap. Overall, the food is standard hospital cafeteria food, if you know what I mean. Having said that, I was satisfied with the overall value of the food. It was hot and it served the purpose. There is seating in the main area with some tables marked reserved and more seating in the solarium toward the back. I do believe IC is still open between meal times. They just don't have hot items and people behind the hot bar to serve. It is more of a grab-and-go of the prepared and packaged foods. It was quite busy when I went around 11:30 am. Lots of traffic here at prime meal times! Stay safe, Friends!

probably one of the best DFACs at Fort Eisenhower the food is cooked and seasoned really wellread more

I was going to give it 2 stars but thinking about it, I've given 1 to places less disappointing…read more First, while visually clean looking, the sound of my shoes pealing off the sticky floor was discouraging. The restroom door was literally stuck to the floor. Look at the picture, food looks great, yes? It was warm too. Slightly above room temperature; probably sitting there growing germs (cafeteria style). The chicken tasted good, if a little bland. The mac & cheese and black eyed peas on rice taste like latex glove was part of the recipe. The biscuit was the best thing on the plate tastewise if you ignore that 1/4 of had the hardness of a pine 2x4. I would have left before paying except I specifically went out of my way to try the place. After waiting in line, and going through the slightly confusing process of choosing a side (things in Bain maries not on the menu), I asked for water. Charging for water shows me this isn't a reputable place. Now, I don't mind paying extra for using Visa but after I've gone through the whole ordering and food processing, to shove it on me then is disrespectful. They also ask for tips, but there is zero reason to give one. If I had one recommendation when visiting: don't.

We ordered one meal with 3 piece fried chicken drumsticks + mac n cheese + broccoli casserole and a fried pork tenderloin + mac n cheese + cabbage. The best side was probably a tie between the mac n cheese and the cabbage! Yes, cabbage! When we are in town, we will visit again!

It was refreshing to see a top notch staff! Their menu offered something for everyone which worked out great for us since daughter is vegetarian. The restaurant was super clean, modern, and roomy! We enjoyed sushi, tacos, nachos, shrimp and grits (not on the printed menu but still offered) non alcoholic beer for the Hubs and a nich Marlbourough (sp?) sauvignon blanc wine for the girls. We were delighted to find a place without a dress code to have an early dinner and there were plenty of tables and we didn't need a reservation! My favorite dish we tried was the tempura battered fried olives! Wow! These were great! Flavorful, not greasy, and just a fun take on delicious olives!!!! They came with a house made ranch dressing dip. They were out of bleu cheese which I love, and I do think the blue cheese would have been even better as an olive dip. Thanks, Sole for your innovative menu and wonderful service and lovely southern hospitality!

We drive from Columbia SC and the food, vibe and music on Saturday night is well worth it. Solé roll is a must! We alternate between the Solé roll and goyza each visit. The menu changes and has been different each visit and that's okay. Food is good quality here and doesn't disappoint This time 1/5 our server was extremely slow but it was ok as we enjoyed our friends we brung with this time. I had the chicken Florentine and it was just okay. The mashed potatoes were perfect! They started from scratch in my opinion but the cut of chicken was super thin for the amount of toppings. Everyone in my party enjoyed their food 6/6/2026
