FAB-U-LOUS! It was a girls night out so we splurged and hit…read morethe strip. From start to finish, we enjoyed every moment at Casa Playa. First... Chef Sarah Thompson... Is Remarkable! (She's a James Beard Award winner, you know.) She "nose" what people want. Great vibes... ambiance and decor! (There is the most adorable black n white picture of a donkey as you enter the restaurant. She took that picture and you just want to BOOP that snoot. Actually, as I understand it... she took all the pictures that are hung in the restaurant. She really is an artist in lots of ways.) She also KNOWS flavors and textures! I almost licked the dishes. All Of Them. I did not, of course, because this is an upscale dining experience and decorum dictates that I mind my manners. Full disclosure, I did lick my glassware tho... there was salt and seasonings on our drinks so it was acceptable. ha! The drinks are amazing! Careful tho.... while they go down smooth... there is Alcohol in them so imbibe responsibly. I am definitely going back to have another Wild Card.... in the simplest of terms... it's a pineapple margarita with a hint of heat. I loved it and if I wasn't driving, I would have had more than 1. If I had to pick a favorite... I would fail. We really enjoyed everything... my top faves are... I loved the Branzino... if you like Branzino even a little... order this. It's spectacular. The Maitaki mushroom in blanco mole... it's everything you want in mushrooms... "meaty", tender, flavorful, umami-ness... The scallops... The scallops were huge... succulent. Oh and the Green Rice. I don't know what is in this.. I mean... Rice ... yes.. probably garlic, cilantro and other magic... it's Fantastic and a definite must. It's a side and definitely enough for 3 people to share. The Purse Chair... super cute and considerate. Thanks to Chef Thompson and the entire Casa Playa team for a wonderful night out. We will be back!

The ambiance is gorgeous, lively, and just dramatic enough to make your cocktail feel important. The food was flavorful, beautifully presented, and clearly allergic to being basic. Everything felt polished without being pretentious, which is a delicate little miracle in Las Vegas. Overall, it was delicious, stylish, and fun. I left full, happy, and slightly worried my regular dinner plans may now need professional help.

The menu is large and the prices are to be envied by any restaurant. The three of us ordered something different and everything was very good. They bring chips and salsa and even refilled it without charging. I regret not taking a picture of my chicken taco salad. I got too excited about eating it. It was huge! I took most of it home. I did notice a sewer smell at the entrance and I'm sure they are aware because they were burning incense. This obviously wasn't their fault. I've noticed it occasionally at other places. Make sure to bring your glasses because some of the print on the menu is very small. I was wishing for bean dip to go with the chips. I didn't check the menu and didn't ask. None of those things will keep us from going back. I highly recommend this restaurant! I can't wait to go back.

The girl working Saturday morning/early afternoon was extremely rude and made us feel unwelcome from the start. We placed a large to go order with items like pancakes and birria, yet no syrup or salsa was included. Normally I'd assume it was just an honest mistake, but combined with the employee's attitude and lack of customer service, it honestly felt careless. Spending nearly $100 on subpar food that couldn't even fully be enjoyed because basic condiments were missing was frustrating. Sad experience overall, and not somewhere I'd return to

It's got a sizable bar area and ample seating in a separate dining area. The nachos are huge and absolutely loaded. I think their salsa is the best in the valley. I am partial to their crispy chicken tacos at lunchtime and I love their carne asada. They have delicious chilies rellenos (the sauce is the comb). And their homemade flour tortillas are something I can't skip when I go. I love it!

Just like all their other locations, there's plenty of seating, the servers are dressed in their traditional cultural clothes, and the food tastes authentic. We started with chips, bean dip, and salsa for the table. The salsa spice was mild and refried bean dip was good. It's the same bean dip you'll get when you order a plate. We ordered the Mexican Hot Chocolate, quesadilla plate and carne asada plate. The carne asada plate included a small amount of grilled onions and grilled jalapeno with rice, beans, lettuce, guac, and your choice of flour or corn tortillas. One of my favorites was the flour tortillas. It tastes homemade and I love the soft flavor. The carne asada wasn't as good as I remembered as it could use a little more flavor. It included only a small amount of grilled onions, which was kind of disappointing. I enjoyed the Mexican hot chocolate, although it was a bit on the sweeter side. Overall I enjoyed this place because it's more on the authentic side.
