I came here expecting to enjoy my meal in peace, but this turned into a frustrating and unacceptable experience. I specifically ordered a shredded chicken chimichanga, and instead I was served pork. I do not eat pork, and by the time I realized the mistake, I had already eaten a few bites. What makes this worse is that I was still charged the full amount, as if nothing was wrong. That is completely unacceptable. When they finally brought the correct dish, it was still incomplete--there were no utensils, and it was missing guacamole and sour cream. I then had to wait nearly 10 minutes before another server came by to fix it. This is not the level of service I expected. Honestly, this is the kind of service you would never receive at a decent restaurant. The manager, Gustavo, handled the situation poorly and showed no accountability--based on this experience, he is clearly not fit for the role. He also didn't seem to care about customer feedback at all. I told him I would be leaving a poor review, and he told me to go ahead--which says everything about how little he cares about customers. read more

The food was good and everyone seemed to be having a good time. I had a Taco Salad with beans, ground beef, lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, and guacamole. I added some of the salsa on the table for added flavor, it gave it a good kick. My hubby had Chile Colorado, which is chunks of beef in a red chile sauce served with rice and beans and your choice of tortillas. He liked it. We went with a group from your community everyone liked their dishes except one who said her Chile Relleno didn't taste like the Poblano chile she was looking for. I thought their prices are a bit high and I did not like how they automatically added 20% tip on our bill. I guess it was because we were a group of 15. I just don't like when restaurants do that. I prefer to add my tip according to the service given. The server was very nice and provided good service. I'm not saying she didn't deserve it, I'm just saying I don't like when it's done for me, especially when the tip is on the total bill including the tax (ugh!). This is a pretty good Mexican restaurant in the middle of Downtown Summerlin. From the exterior and right when you walk in, you become immersed in the surroundings that exist in this location. We only got a sneak peak of what interior dining area which seemed like this huge white room which looked pretty cool. We ended up just going to the bar area because we didn't have to wait for a seat. The food we ordered was the con queso for happy hour and the tacos al carbon. Both are really good as you can't go wrong with tacos at a Mexican restaurant. Although the taco's were good, it was kind of missing something that we couldn't really put our finger on it. It's decent but it only comes with 2 tacos. The queso was really good as well, but the only bad part about it was that it was too much for us. The flavor feels repetitive so I'd suggest going with something else. Our server was a bartender since we were at the bar so it was pretty decent. Pretty sure he was busy with all the drink orders but that didn't bother us since we just needed to wait for our food. I'd say panchos has one spicy salsa to start off oh boy they're margaritas are number one if you're looking for a reposado deal with a big Margarita for $21. Good service although the lounge server was slammed. Hubbies entrée was chicken fajitas. He wished there was a little bit more of a portion of chicken since it was mostly veggie. Very delicious but the ratio was off. Honestly the chicken was on par so he was sad there was so little. The prices are pricey for what you get. The service is OK at best and the manager does not care if you like their restaurant or not. I'll have to stop by and give a real review. Pancho's has been on my list for a while, and I'm glad I finally made it to the one not too far away. Their Happy Hour runs until 7 PM, so there's plenty of time after work to swing by for discounted drinks and classic Mexican dishes. The Asada Nachos were massive and an absolute steal at under $20. The Taquitos Dorados were a solid portion, topped generously with pico de gallo, guacamole, sour cream, and cheese. The Carnitas Taco Plate was the most expensive thing we ordered--and the tacos themselves were huge--but I wasn't a fan of the pork flavor, so I'd probably skip those next time. The chips were fresh, salsa spicy, and both were never ending. The draft beer was nice and refreshing, and the house margarita is dangerously good--definitely potent enough to earn you a mid-week hangover. They have two locations: 1. Manhattan Beach 2. Arriba! Arriba! Let's go to Pancho's! We have always enjoyed our visits there with their friendly staff and the Spanish ambiance is a pleasure to view. I almost always get the enchiladas with shrimp and crab, my husband had the ranchero burrito, and great thing is that they have a kid's menu with quesadillas and fries for the littles. We love the chips and salsa and my favorite dessert Tres Leches! Definitely enough to share with a date. There were 3 hostesses that looked like they would rather be anywhere else (8pm). Eye contact was made, no greeting or smile. Same with attitude on the phone when we called to see how busy they were. Maybe they were just having a bad day. Party of 3 on Saturday lunch. We ordered this sample platter, grilled mahi tacos and tacos al carbon. All delicious but somehow the fried chicken on the appetizer platter made the highlight of the meal. It was so perfectly seasoned and crispy. Their tacos are good size too, so all three of us felt way too full after. Service was very quick and friendly. The restaurant might be one of the nicest ones in town as far as all the beautiful details go and it is on the pricier side but we tend to stick to the fajitas and shrimp dishes which in my opinion are tasty and will feed about two people because portions here are very large. Service like most places is better some days but we always leave with happy tummies. Try to be say in the main room near the beautiful and dramatic stairs if possible because this area is by far the nicest. read more

We had to wait about 20 minutes for the two of us to get seated. We ordered a chile colorado entree and a taco and chile relleno combo meal. Their salsa is tasty, obviously made with fresh ingredients. The combo meal was good, and the rice and beans were very good. However, the chile colorado was not good, as the beef was overcooked, dry and tasteless. It was as if the meat was cooked separately from the sauce, which was thin and one dimensional. I returned the plate and replaced it with the pork chile verde, which was inversely tender and delicious. Good service, but a little slow due to a full crowd. Lovely interior with colorful decorations. A live mariachi band was wandering around mostly singing happy birthday, enhancing the atmosphere. What a beautifully themed Mexican food restaurant. The service was good but I doubt I'll return. The food was just average and nothing special. We had high hopes to have dinner when we stopped in and on a hockey game night. They were too busy and the wait was long. It's a really vibrant, seemingly fun place to eat. We were excited to get a table recently and had margaritas and chips and salsa to start. It's an extensive menu. My chile rellano/taco dinner was ok, my husband ordered a specialty item and said the same. We expected everything to be delicious. Again, great ambiance, great place for big groups, the service was very good, but I want to walk away and feel satisfied with my dinner choice. I'll try and give it another chance someday. My folks rave about this spot and their happy hour so we finally gave it a try earlier today. Their happy hour is quite generous with their food and drink options-- that and it is daily from 2-7. Love the ambience and the overall look - reminiscent of an older, authentic Mexican restaurant, from the flooring to the stained glass windows. A basket of warm chips and salsa is already a great start to this meal. We ordered a variety of things - chimichanga, taquitos, sampler which had quesadilla, fried chicken, taquitos and flautas. Everything was great! My favorite dish, however, was the albondigas. It was comfort in a bowl. Drinks were flowing- margaritas, sangria. We walked out with full to go bags and even fuller bellies. The food was merely decent and our server was friendly when he was around (mid Friday afternoon-not busy-plenty of staff) never checked on us and when the busboy delivered our food he couldn't drop it of fast enough and never got the salsa I asked for, nor did we get refills on our drinks because our server never came by???? So if I wanted to see a pretty restaurant ok, however I went for good food and acceptable service and received neither. Personally I would rather go somewhere else. read more

We've found our new go-to Mexican restaurant with Pancho's! The food is flavorful and what you'd expect with traditional choices. The portions are very generous and their chips and salsa is delicious. When walking into Pancho's I felt as though I stepped into an outdoor courtyard, with having a bright and vibrant atmosphere. The abundance of plants set the scene of a welcoming, calming, and fresh establishment. The employees are all friendly and helpful. Most importantly, Pancho's pride in the best ingredients is explained in their menu. I would recommend the artichoke mushroom quesadilla with chicken - my personal favorite. Really wanted to love this place since the interior is so gorgeous. Hacienda style interior with antiques and plants everywhere. We came on a night where there was a very large high school private party so maybe it was an off night. We all collectively agreed that the food was not it. Not authentic and not very tasty either. Perhaps it would've been ok at a lower price point, but for $20-40 for an entree, we expected more elevated and genuinely flavorful fare. The saving grace was their cocktails & chips. Cocktails were all pretty good and fun! They gave us about four bowls of chips and salsa, and probably would've kept refilling. I think this would be a great place for happy hour--drinks & apps but not so much for a sit down meal. read more

Hubby liked the chile verde and would order it again. Maybe I would try something else next time. Great happy hour in the cantina! We started with the complimentary chips & salsa, then had the Botanas Especiales, which is basically a sampler with chicken flautas, shredded beef taquitos, cheese quesadilla, fried chicken drumsticks; comes with sour cream and guacamole. We enjoyed the house margaritas, too, and our total bill including tip was under $50. We left with full bellies and leftovers. No refills on water or soda the entire time we were sitting there. No one came to check on us at all after the food was dropped off. We had to tell the waiter we wanted the appetizers before the meal, after he told us he just put everything in together. That's not how appetizers and entrees work. The food finally comes out and it's so unbelievably bland. I don't know how they managed to make el pastor flavorless. Husband ordered the burrito Del Mar and found not one piece of crab in the entire thing. It was mostly beans and rice. The ambiance is vibrant, colorful with a loud energized cantina bar room contrasted with a vibrant relaxed atmosphere of the main dining area. The wine glass had measurement lines etched into it (I've never seen a wine glass with that feature). The chips were okay. The salsa with a bit too spicy hot. I asked about a milder salsa and the waitress brought us a mild salsa, which was basically the tomato base used for the salsa recipe. Using about a 1:1 ratio of the two made for a better option for me. The happy hour menu items were okay. None of the items were to our liking, so we ordered from the main menu. The ensalada de salmon presentation was very nice. Great sear on the salmon. It was good. I'm not a fan of raw onions so I removed them. Olives in this salad recipe seemed odd, but I like olives and ate them. Very good customer service. They were very busy, but the staff kept things moving at a good pace. They were attentive and personable. The women's restroom was an exciting visual experience of tile work that I can appreciate. It's a nice restaurant for the area. read more

Went out to dinner with my coworkers and we decided to go here! Have never been here before but my coworkers have. I will say if you com here be prepared to stay for 2 hours, it can take awhile for food and orders to be taken because it is soooo busy! It is nice though if you want to yap and talk in between however, it can get very loud so be prepared to talk very loud to hear your table. THE FOOD. So good. I honestly had no expectations when ordering. I ordered the sopas as I was not really that hungry after the chips and queso. It was so good. Just like homemade sopas. I definitely want to try the other entrees but they were massive and 22 bucks each so I wanted something cheaper as I'm trying to budget haha!
