This past weekend, I ordered from this establishment for the first time in years. My family and I ordered the chinese soup, chicken lo mein, and chicharron de pollo sin hueso with plain fried rice. I placed my order through Uber Eats for pickup. The app made the process a bit confusing because although the order of chicharron de pollo was supposed to come with pork fried rice, I wasn't allowed to select pork fried rice on the app. The food was very delicious as everyone was happy but there were two little issues. The first issue was the overcooked noodles in the lo mein. The second issue was the quantity of food in the chicharron de pollo. The order of chicharron de pollo came out to $22 but the take-out container was not full. I have always had this theory that restaurants give less food for their take-outs than in their dine-ins. I would give this restaurant another chance but I would definitely dine-in. read more

This is possibly the worst food I've ever had. Not sure what's wrong with the tastebuds of the people leaving all these rave 5 star reviews. Chicken was dry, unseasoned and not even close to anything I would refer to as chicharron de pollo. My husband had the fried fish, which was very fishy and lacked seasoning yet again. I have tried their Chicharron De Pollo and Bistec Palomilla with pork fried rice and house special fried rice with tostones. Both tasty meals I highly suggest. What I don't suggest is their fried shrimp.. barely any taste and they it doesn't come with tartar sauce! read more

My coworkers recommended this place for lunch, and I'm so thankful they did! I tried their chaufan, and it was such a complicated and flavorful dish. Second time at this restaurant. Must say this time around it was disappointing. I understand that the time we went it was Easter Sunday and it was extremely busy. My party arrived at the restaurant around 8 pm. We were able to get on the waiting list. We waited for about 15-20 min before we were seated. We ordered food and it came fairly quickly due to the amount of people. However, some of the items didn't come until we were done eating. The avocado and the tostones came after we when done eating. Also while we were eating the staff was cleaning and spilled a bunch of water that ended up underneath our table and the table next to us. Overall this restaurant has great food and usually a good atmosphere. I'll chalk this up to it was busy and they had a bad night. ***UPDATE*** Today I returned to this restaurant in order to give it another chance and it did not disappoint. The food was amazing. The crowd was nothing like the last time. Maybe 15-20 ppl there. The food arrived hot and fresh. Everyone enjoyed themselves and there meal. Staff was courteous and helpful. Last review was a 2. I've had the sesame chicken and general Tso chicken, they were both fine. Just spent 60 dollars on dinner for my family and the pollo encebodallo had no onions whatsoever. No taste at all. This is a restuarant I frequent pretty often with my partner, family, and friends. The food is here is phenomenal, the drinks are crafty & strong, and the service is great. One of my favorite drinks to order is The Volcano drink. (It says it's for 2 but I can down one myself...but I will need a cab home.) Every person I introduce to Sabrosura 2 becomes an instant fan. (One of my friends called one of my family members "the devil" because they never had it!) The menu here is quite vast--and they are always adding delicious additions--so I'm sure there's something everyone will love. Another thing I have to mention is this restaurant is a non-tipping establishment: tips are not expected or required. (There are signs everywhere that say this around the restaurant.) I don't know how how long this has been a thing--the non-tipping part----but this won't take anything away from their stellar service. read more

This place was amazing the amount of food they serve you is enough to get full and still take some home. I had the amazing chofan dish omg!! Will be returning to this place next time with family members I was really impressed with my dish and my friends dish. Place does get busy and the waiting times can be a bit long but it's all worth it trust me. Servers are really nice and every one works at a fast paste. Both times we ordered from here we received our order with 0 napkins & 0 utensils, so you might want to add a note for them to add to ur order. I remember the original sabrosura from a few years ago when i went to school in the bronx. Its still one of my favorite go to restaurants to this day.. I actually came here by accident while trying to find the original Sabrosura and boy am I happy i did.. This new spot is bigger compared to the original which is great.. We walked in on a busy saturday night and got seated in no time. The service was good and the waiter was very attentive. Now onto the food.. The menu is HUGE..They serve traditional spanish food & N.Y. style chinese food. Literally, the best of both worlds.. My girlfiend ordered rice & beans with the skirt steak (Absolutely delicious) and i had the house special fried rice with pork chops, chicken, and shrimp combo.. Everything was seasoned to perfection and cooked just right. The house special fried rice has to be one of my favorite things on the menu. It really is PERFECT.. There is also a wide selection of alcoholic drinks/ smoothies/ sodas/ & juices to fit everyones taste.. Surprisingly, its a "No Tip" restaurant. We have been to the original which isnt too far from this location but they are very different. This location is bigger and a lot nicer. We were seated within 5 minutes at the table of our choosing (its nice when they give you options). Our waiter was too cool for school made jokes, spoke a little spanish, and suggested we try the flan (it was low on sugar and delicious). We ordered choffan for 2, ribs, and buffalo wings and they do not disappoint. The portions are HUGE and of course delicious. We both ate quite a bit and im pretty sure we have leftovers for 2 days haha. The also ordered the passions fruit cocktail and the strawberry daiquiri both were good but i enjoyed the passion fruit most. This is a true family friendly restaurant. You can come here alone or in a group. This restaurant doesnt have hookah or loud music those places usualy attract a crowd that want to party. This restaurant is a great place to enjoy good food and have conversations. read more

Woot woot!!! Great restaurant + great prices. As soon as I walked in here I felt I was walking into heaven. If you love the great, delicious, yummy smell of food, like me, this is your place to go to. Furthermore, if you are a meat LOVER, like me, you should definitely try this restaurant out. We shared *mofonguito with guacamole* as an appetizer and had *churrasco with shrimps + tostones + salad* for entree and have to say, I could see myself eating the same thing exactly how it was made, everyday for the rest of the year. Everything was GREAT from the smell of the food, the taste of it, the service of our waiter, to the speed of the kitchen and fair prices. Definitely have to try this spot peeps!! I thought it would've been a good idea in trying this "New" Sabrosura. But our take Out dinner turned out off putting. Ordered Chicharrones with tostones, spare ribs with plain fried rice and shrimp and broccoli. Even as I'm writing this, I'm getting hyped because we're finally ordering from here. Pick up the order and brought it home. As I'm opening containers and serving, I dig into the tostones and they are freaking stuck together and in top of that, they taste horrible. How the hell do you mess up tostones? The oil was stinky and tasted like freaking lard or something. Additionally, Chicharrones de pollo were tasteless and extremely oily. Shrimp and broccoli was ok not the best. My husband's plain fried rice looked off and left it behind. I really can't see myself even trying them for a second time. This is the gem of the Bronx. The food here is fantastic. If your in the mood for a Chino-Latino cuisine then this is the spot to be. I would like to try everything on there menu but I'm stuck on the Chofan rice. The mojito for the tostones is even phenomenal. The best part of all this also is that the meal won't break the bank. I'm regularly here and I felt that they're due a 5star review. Very consistent with taste and service. Only negative would probably be looking for parking but that's not the fault of this business.
