Another West Sac discovery, this time a local pizza place that we've ordered from several times now for the office. First order was catering placed by the office manager which included a variety of pizzas, salad, and cookies. At that time I only tried the veggie and cheese pizzas (must have been a Lenten Friday) but they were tasty. Second order, I got a lunch special 8" Buffalo's Special pizza (green peppers, olives, onions, mushrooms, ham, pepperoni, sausage, extra cheese) which came with green salad and a can of soda which was a pretty good deal; my coworkers got the pasta (spaghetti and meatballs with side garlic bread), calzone and the pizza roll. Picked up this order. Most recent epic order included a 16" vegetarian, 16" chicken delight, 16" Buffalo's special, the 16" meat, lastly the ENORMOUS 26" cheese pizza which was the star of the show. We also got four orders of the lasagna which came with garlic bread, and four orders of green salad. This order was placed on Slice and the delivery went pretty smooth. The pastas were disguised inside a pizza box which fooled us at first, ha. Buffalos pizza ~ Looking for some lasagna initially we yelped for a bit again. After seeing there pics the food portions looked huge and the menu was a bit old for what we found. So we found the "home on the range" were the buffalo roam. Easy spot to find, decent parking, not much inside for seating. There is a few spots. So looking over the menu we went with the California club sandwhich & sm meatball calzone. The California club - on wheat bread (sliced) with ham, turkey, sliced mozzarella, avocado, lettuce, tomato, mayo n mustard. With 2 pieces of pepperchini on the side. Well the sandwhich was decent, the mozzarella was a nice touch, good to see something you dont usually get at most places. They did forget to put the avocado on the sandwhich. Then we went with the meatball calzone. You do get upto 3 toppings for a calzone included. But i just wanted meatballs. The description of it says: thin pizza dough stuffed with ricotta cheese, herbs, mozzarella cheese. Garlic butter and parmesan cheese on top with 3 toppings of your choice with homeade marinada(marinara) sauce. The calzone in the end was real good, not what i expected intially but it worked out great. I thought it was going to have the marinara sauce inside but it wasn't. They serve it on the side. So i got my dip on and it was great. Had 2 slices left over and gave it the old 1-2 quick nuke and it held up great and still tasted tastyyy. Overall the price to portions is what gets them 4 stars. The sm calzone can easily feed 2 i can't imagine how big the large is. O-o. The sandwhich with a combo(drink with fries or salad is $7.99 , while the sandwhich wasn't packed neither was the price. Well I gave it a year to improve and it didn't work. It went downhill actually. Pizza is good but not great so lets add some poor service= Not a winner. I ordered over the phone for pick up. I really preferred delivery but opted to pick it up after he told me it would be faster and the 20 questions of it depends on what you are ordering and where I was located that added to the conversation. Was not very helpful on the phone. I ask about the side salad size and he says, "I don't know how to answer that." WTF? so I had to say can one feed 3 people? he says no, they are individual. Fine. Ordered a medium with 3 salads. I walk in and no greeting, just a blank stare. It was really hot inside (warm day) so obviously no AC. Doesn't look the cleanest and definitely not inviting. It is next to a liquor store and nail salon so not really something you plan in "dining in". Just saw a dirty guy walking out with a 42oz hop on his bicycle at noon. lol. Anyway, after some fiddling with the credit card machine I get on my way. I get into my car and then discover that the soda I ordered and Paid for was not in the bag. I went back in and the guy was gone but a lady was standing there. She knew I had just been there and did not address me. I just said, "He forgot my soda. Can I just grab one?" She said yes but no apology. I also notice a lunch special of a pizza, soda, and salad for $7.99. It would have been nice to know that because it would have saved some money! IDK. Food is medicocre to good. Salad wasn't all that for $4.75, but it was much bigger than I anticipated. With that said, you couple that with very poor unfriendly service not somewhere I want to frequent. I LOVE supporting small businesses that deserve it but they do not. read more

They never came. Two hours later I called and ask where my food is. Oh we tried to knock and called you. No one answered. I asked why they didn't leave it at the door. COVID. They said they don't do that. I said I called to let the ppl know. So when is my food coming? Oh. It's not. You'll have to pick it up. So my food is freezing cold. Their pizza is good, they are priced ok in comparison to some of the others around the area but I have had some up and down times with them. One time I called to order a pizza and their machine was down so they couldn't take cards.... ok it happens. Another time I ordered online and it said it was on its way and it never got delivered. It was a little bit close to closing time but there was still enough time and I wasn't far away. I could have picked it up but I was busy with some things. I've hung up in frustration with them a couple of times and most recently I called for a delivery and the gal told me they stopped delivering. I was very irritated because I was hungry and wanted a pizza.when I asked why? I got a lame response. She told me because we go home at 9. It was 8 and I am about two blocks away. I just hung up. I didn't feel like leaving the house. I was home from work and tired. I didn't want to go back out again So I've decided to take my business elsewhere. One too many times of them falling short. As far as I am concerned they are not dependable. Their food is good and I have had some good deliveries from them, but I'm cool with it. I'll go somewhere else. These have been my experiences with them. You may have a different experience and that's ok. Well, I am from NY and maybe that's part of the problem, but I tried..... I got the calzone from. Here because they said they used ricotta, unlike other places... Well there was barely ANY cheese in it, and I love cheese! I ordered a speciality pizza but made some changes, when I went to pick it up she checked it and it was all wrong. She said she had no idea that it was wrong and wasn't taking the blame. She asked if I wanted a new one made and I said I couldn't wait (I had my son w me) and then she offered to personally pick off the onions and green peppers... Gross. Ordered Alfredo pasta and a calzone for delivery. Over an hour of waiting it still didn't arrive. The lady delivering the food was completely lost. I even stepped out of the office to stay on the phone with her and try help her with directions. Once she got here, she was obviously upset and frustrated, even more than she was on the phone. Complaining about what a hard time she was having. I mean, I don't blame her but the, "I can't believe this s***t" expression on her face and in her voice didn't really make waiting so damn long any less irritating. Although that was pretty crappy, the "small" calzone is big enough to feed a family of 4. And the pasta was decent sized for the price, tasted okay but was overdone. I can't really rate the calzone on taste since I received it cold, which kind of sucked. But it definitely looks like one hell of a bang for your buck. I order from this place fairly often. The sandwiches are not good to me the bread and meats they use are sub par. But that has to do with my preference. Pizza is ok but some time you get a pre made pizza that has bee dressed up. For example I just ordered a pepperoni pizza with extra pepperoni and extra cheese. Seems like the had a pre made pepperoni pizza sitting around and just added some cheese and a very little amount of pepperoni. Then when you eat it the first layer slides off and you have the original layer. This has happened a few times and I called and asked them if that is what they are doing and they said no but I worked at Round table for years and can tell they are taking short cuts. Torn writing this review. Ordered online twice. First pickup on a Thursday was excellent: (2) Philly cheesesteak subs, (1) Italian sausage sub , (1) BBQ Chicken pizza and (1) Meat pizza and all was ready for pickup as expected. Legit made the household excited to have a go-to spot, thought to give a local spot a shot, despite prior negative reviews from family and friends. Second online order for meat pizza, BQQ pizza, Pepperoni pizza and italian sub; ETA 30-45 minutes. Received notification delivery was delayed 15-20 minutes, understandable as order was placed at 7:00 on a Friday night, Called restaurant at :25 mark, told driver was en route. Got call from driver 5 minutes later, was lost within apartment complex, which is weird as complex is literally a circle. Language issues kept her from understanding directions so I went out and searched her out. Received order, only to find that one of three pizzas were wrong. Whateves, kids were bitching at this point. Food was marginal, all cold but we ate it anyway. Total fees was $4 for delivery, $1 for service fee, $4.68 for 15% tip and I paid $10 to the driver, in cash because I am sympathetic to the rank and file and I sincerely hope she doesn't report that as income. Arrived right at opening to a friendly greeting and owner was very helpful suggesting their more popular pizzas. Went with 26" half veggie with jalapenos and half special. Also grabbed a large half Chicken Delight and half La Mexicana with added pineapple for the Al Pastor effect. The 15 or so that ate the pizza were very complimentary.
