Well I wish I had looked at reviews before booking. I booked a drop and go for my 2020 Acura MDX. I dropped off my car at 8am - by 5pm when the store closes, no call, no text, no email. The store doesn't have a phone number. So I headed that way and got a text that the wind shield was done and just being calibrated. Great! I get there and they haven't been able to calibrate it and my options were to wait and see if they could get someone there to calibrate it or sign a waiver, take my car with me and then someone would call me and have me bring it back in. No one ever called. So I logged back in to find that they are now charging me double and want me to leave my car for the day again. I now have to find someone to talk to because I want to bring it to my dealership which apparently I should have done in the first place. Keep in mind it was already $1200+ and now it is $2,400 and I got ZERO communication. The guys were nice but this is crazy that I am having to track down a way to contact someone for work that wasn't done and had to be paid for in advance. read more

I had to go back twice after getting my windshield replaced. First, because they didn't secure the left interior panel fully and then a second time because the plastic cover from the rear view mirror radar electronics fell off later that day. The interior of the dash was also very dirty from the work they did. Although the gentleman that helped me on the 2nd return was very nice and apologized, and he replaced the windshield wipers as a courtesy for me having to return again, I had new wipers and now these wipers they put on are not great. I would have preferred to just keep my wipers. read more

Terrible service! When they gave us back the car the interior trim/pillars were offset and not matching how we had it from the factory. Upper ceiling trim was scuffed up. We took our vehicle there to get our windshield replaced and they replaced it(took them two tries) but broke the front cowl windshield bottom covering on our Highlander. They advised they will order it from Toyota and replace it, they called me to say they were going to Toyota to call in for the replacement part but never called back after that. On top of that they didn't install the driver side windshield weathering cover properly so when driving out in the highway it flew off. I sent a couple of emails to customer.care@safelite.com but didn't get any response from there. Pretty irritated with this level of service from this company and location. I highly recommend this location. Scheduling was easy. I was given an online coupon during sign up. Upon arriving, the rep was ready for me and started quickly. I think I waited about an hour or less. The inside was clean and the waiting area was stocked with complimentary water and coffee. Continuation: After having to schedule and reschedule appointments due to incompetent and rude representative, we finally secured an appointment for in shop repair under the pay with installments plan. Someone, somewhere im safelite did not like this it seems because when arriving to the front desk to check in, the representative informed me that my balance owed was $27 because "afterpay didnt cover everything" which cant be true if our money was already taken by afterpay who then sent money to safelite. Dont we all think its a problem that you dont know the full details until youve driven to the shop and paid your installment as agreed? Does safelite like 1 star reviews on yelp? instead of "valuing our input" maybe use that input to affect some change, what do you say, corporation that overprices their parts and work anyway? I have seen the commercials and thought I'd try them to replace the windshield in my 2022 Chevy pickup. The first service tech showed up and said there was a problem with how I had requested the service and that he didn't have the correct windshield. He was very nice and spent about 45 minutes getting the VIN number and other information on my truck and we scheduled another appointment for the following day. The second tech showed up the following day and said he didn't have the new work order and that he also didn't have the right windshield. I asked him to reschedule but he said that they were having lots of problems internally and that he would recommend that I take it to the dealership and not use Safelite!!! So after three days and two appointments I still have a broken windshield!!!! DONT WASTE YOUR TIME......use someone else!!! read more

My wife took it in and the manager declared there was a 30 day limit for making a claim and rudely refused to even look at the car. When booking a windshield replacement online for your Tesla, they force you to agree to recalibrate the self driving cameras, possibly at an additional cost. This is something that can be done by the owner for free in the cars service menu. In short, I just went to a competitor and had the windshield replaced at the same cost and they did not try to force a camera recalibration. read more

Unfortunately I need to remove a few stars from my last review due to the nightmare of them not putting my dashcam back in place after replacing my windshield. The dashcam was in the passenger seat and the wiring was hanging in front of the windshield. I called and asked that they send someone to my office to fix it and Ronald very nicely came to try and fix it but could only reattch it with double sided tape. Unfortunately it had come off by the time I went to leave for the day and was just hanging from the middle of the windshield. Now I have to take it back to the place that installed the dash cam to have them fix it, but in the meantime, I'm driving with wires and a dash cam hanging down in front of my line of sight in front of my windshield. Just make sure before you take it here or anywhere else to have your windshield replaced that they know how to replace the dash cam where it goes. read more

I have never seen a level of incompetence like this in all my life. To start off with, they damaged my windshield wipers regulators and failed to reconnect my washer fluid hoses after replacing my glass, leaving me with only a working driver's side wiper. After wasting a morning taking it back in for them to look at, they just sent me back home saying they needed to order replacement parts from the dealer. I had to hound them continuously for the next 2-3 weeks because they never followed up with me to make sure the parts were on order. Finally the day came for them to install the new parts. On top of that they ordered some of the wrong parts, after installing the new parts they DAMAGED THE REPLACEMENT and now BOTH of my wiper motors did not work. They then told me I would have to schedule with the dealership to get the part fixed. If they're that incompetent they could've saved both of us a lot of pain and had them do the repair to begin with instead of wasting FOUR HOURS of my day after FOUR WEEKS of delays. And on top of that, they never answered the phone when I tried to contact them to submit the paperwork to the dealership to get the work taken care of, so I had to actually speak to the corporate customer service so they could call the actual shop and get it taken care of. Even then, they never reached back out to me to confirm they had spoken to the dealership even after I demanded that they do so after the horrible service they had given so far. If I could give MINUS FIVE STARS I would. read more

Very easy, very pleasant, had me in and out in no time! I had to have one of passenger windows completely replaced due to a break in. I scheduled my appointment online which was very user friendly. They were able to confirm the type of parts I needed for my service before I even showed up! Service took about an hour, although they say about two. My new window had some crunching noises when I rolled it up which I addressed to the team on site that day, they took my car back into the shop without hesitation to fix the issue! Online quote does not include "recalibration" which is required according to Safelite. On a Tesla it's a push of a button to calibrate the cameras. Satellite wants to charge you $750 to do this and claim it's required, also the car recalibrates after driving 100 miles, clearly written in the Tesla owners manual. NEW HIRES TRAIN ON YOUR CAR!! I came in recommended by my insurance to replace my cracked windshield. They cracked the new windshield putting it on, saying their new hire pressed too hard and cracked the glass. Idk why they let new people train on my car. They also broke off my rain sensor, and said they'd replace it when they fix the windshield (for no additional cost) So they made me a second appointment 10 days later for them to AGAIN not be able to fix it (apparently paint was still wet from the first appointment but they scheduled me for that day anyway)?? So I wasted another 2 hours. Candice was my techician this time and her customer service was great, even given the unfortunate circumstances. Now I have to make a THIRD appointment with no guarantee they won't waste my time again because they wouldn't let me leave the first time without paying. No discount, nothing. Got a reasonable quote online to repair my windshield. Noticed at the very end of the booking process that is said a recalibration charge may apply. After booking my appointment I decided to call to find out how much the charge would be for my vehicle. The charge was higher that the cost to replace the windshield. I cancelled my appointment. I don't want to do business with people that have shady business practices. The reason people get quotes is so they have a good idea of what something will cost prior to booking. If I could give zero stars I would. I first had my windshield replaced two weeks ago. The glass they used could not be calibrated to my car. At that time, I was told the price difference for the manufacturer's windshield was minimal and still under my glass deductible. That first service was supposed to take 3 hours. It took them 8, meaning with an 8:30 drop off I was without a car all day. I took the car back in for the new windshield yesterday at 8 a.m. Apparently, when you book online it defaults to "all day dropoff." What this means is not that you have the convenience of dropping off any time that day, but rather that Safelite can get to your car whenever the hell they feel like it, and they don't commit to even finishing by closing at 5. They stay late though to get you your car eventually. I dropped my car off at 8:00 a.m. They had not started it at 4:00 p.m., and the call that it was ready came after 6:00 p.m. Because I have a life, I had to wait til today to pick up. Then I find out they are charging $350 OVER my deductible, so now this trash work is on my insurance. And it was pouring rain, but I was told to go find my car in the parking lot. No pulling up front for an already inconvenienced customer. In short, these guys are TRASH. Do not take your business there. read more

Had a younger guy come out to repair two tiny (almost unnoticeable) chips in the front windshield of my brand new Mazda . This guy came to FIX the cracks, yet left me with two BIGGER cracks . I can't make this up. One crack spidered out about 1.5 inches and now I can see it more than I could originally. Going to a better, more reputable company to have my whole windshield replaced. Grab the popcorn.... First it took me 2 weeks to get an appt bc it kept getting rescheduled without consulting me or informing me that recalibration can only be done at the shop. I set a drop off appt for today. I arrived at 8:15am. I was told that drop off appt meant it would be completed by 5pm if dropped off by 9:30am. I called customer service at 3:45 bc I hadn't received a text yet with update. shop closes at 5. Even they couldn't get this shop to answer the phone so she sent an urgent email (per her statement). I got an uber back to the shop. arrived at 4:42 and was told my car hadn't been pulled in yet. Lady told me my car would take about am hour and 45 mins to complete. when I asked if she expected me to stay there until 7pm to wait on my car she said no, they can't do it today. I asked her to get someone else for me to talk to, she rolled her eyes at me and went to get guy who took my keys in the morning. i told him him they were fugging idiots, I'd spent $50 on Ubers for no reason and I wanted my keys and deductible back. I also suggested it wouldn't have been that difficult to let me know a couple hours earlier that they wouldn't get my car done. He said he was sorry that they didn't get to it. I replied that I know sh!t happens but they didn't call or text me. When I called customer service again about 6 mins later to get confirmation that my car should have been done by 5pm based on what the drop off appt means, she couldn't find my appt in the computer any more. I'm guessing they cleared it out to cover their butts. well I have screen shots of my appt confirmation. Will not be rescheduling my work with this company if I can help it at all. Here is a summary of my experience so far with the Mesquite location. March 15, 2023 had my windshield replaced in my own driveway. Tech left trash and some broken glass in my driveway and after he left I discovered that he had damaged the trim on the inside of my vehicle and also the windshield had a deep scratch. Called Safelite customer service and they asked that I bring to the shop in Mesquite for warranty on March 17, 2023. On March 17th Safelite agreed that trim and windhield had to be replaced and they would order parts. On March 28th I received notification that parts were in and advised to make appointment. Made an appointment for April 1st. On April 1, 2023 I arrive at store and was told they didn't have the glass after all but they had the trim piece so I left my vehicle for them to install the trim piece. An hour later I received a call and they told me the trim piece was the wrong color. I returned to the store and was told they would order the right part. I was specifically told they would examine the part when it came in to make sure it was the right color before having me return. On April 10th I received a text message that my warranty appointment had been cancelled since I didn't show up. I never set an appointment for April 10th so this was weird. On April 10th I called the store and they didn't seem to know why I received the text. I asked if parts were in and was told yes. I asked if they had verified that the parts were correct and was told they would have the person that ordered them check them and they would call me the next morning. At 10am on April 11th, not having received any call, I called and was told that they had checked the parts and everything was good and made an appointment for 8am April 12th. On April 12th when my wife arrived at 8am they didn't know why she was there but eventually figured it out. Around 9am they reported that the windshield they had was damaged. When my wife asked them why we had been told everything was OK they indicated they only get the glass the morning of the appointment and had not been able to check the glass before that. It would seem the staff and management at this location is totally incompetent and has no concern for providing good customer service. All they say is "we apologize" and offer no kind of goodwill or other compensation for all the problems. Stay away from Safelite in Mesquite! read more

On 02/25/23, I took my car into Safelite for the full windshield to be repaired from a rock falling off a Semi truck on the highway and breaking the windshield. Safelite fixed the windshield and I followed all 48 hr instructions, not taking the tape off the windshield and not taking my car to an electric car wash. On 03/10/23 exactly 2 weeks after getting my windshield replaced, I get into my car and see a long crack going down the side of the windshield. I immediately got out and saw that the crack had come from the inside of the windshield, so I called Safelite that second. They scheduled me an appointment for the following Monday. I got to the appointment and the tech said that something hit the windshield. I asked for the manager to show me where the impact was. What they are telling me is that something the size of a needle point cracked my windshield more than 6" only 2 weeks after having this service done. Safelite refused to replace my windshield. I own 3 businesses and I pride myself off of doing good business. I've attached all proof, so that you can judge for yourself. This is not right and I hope that this doesn't happen to anyone else. My windshield was almost $1,000. I value money and the hard work that I've put in to obtain my money. Safelite has clearly shown me that they don't stand behind their products and they don't value the fact that I chose to spend my money for them to deliver a product that can withstand 2 weeks. read more
