The first time, I stored my son's furniture and kitchen items for 2 years during Covid and everything came back in perfect condition. I just had them pack up my daughter's apartment to store for 2 years. They are fast, efficient, and very careful with your items. They wrap all of your furniture which are then stored with your other packed boxes, on a pallet, in a pest controlled, temperature controlled, warehouse. I am a Realtor and I sold a condo in Laguna Beach in February, 2024. My client hired Safeway Moving & Storage to pack up his furniture and boxes and move them to storage. I was there the day of the move. They were there on time, friendly, respectful of his things, packed them well and were in and out in what seemed like hardly no time. The same client closed on his new home this month and Safeway Moving & Storage delivered all of his items they had been storing since February. We've moved way too many times and we absolutely hate it more and more each time. We have too much stuff, a lot of our stuff is heavy, and our place is filled with junk and annoying clutter. It's a total PITA. And then, yelp saved us yet again. We found Safe Way Moving on yelp and we're a believer! We're floored at how efficient, professional, and pleasant they are. They were on time, worked fast, followed instructions, and actually finished our move in 5 hours, including their lunch break. They did a really great job moving all our things down a ridiculous descent down the stairs at our old place into our immaculate white kitchen. We thought it would take 8 hours, according to our past experiences with other movers. I couldn't believe we were in our new home in such a short time and it was all stress free. We were so excited to be in our new home and had a lot of the day left to enjoy our new place. Big shout out and lots of thanks to Cody, Eric, Mike, and Steve. They did a superb job and were professional, pleasant to be around, and made the entire experience smooth and easy. This was our third move with Safe Way. It went very well. As usual, Mike M., Mike R., and a Eric R. were fantastic. They are very professional and hard working. They work as a team and accommodate all reasonable requests and make sure you are happy with the setup of all items. They know how to tackle and solve any difficulties that arise. We highly recommend this team. The one complaint we had is that we were promised 2 trucks and a crew of 4. We received one truck and a crew of 3. The team made it work, but it was certainly not an ideal situation. While we can understand that the COVID issues may have contributed to this, the same thing happened on our last move, which was almost 4 years ago. If I could rate them higher than 5 stars, I absolutely would! We've used them for two moves now and both times were fantastic. Alex, Cody 1, and Cody 2 were all courteous, prompt, and professional. They managed to pack up our 3 bedroom, 2 bath condo in just a little over 2 hours! Everything was safely packed and loaded onto the truck with no issues or damaged furnitures or items at all. The unload process was equally great with the guys always confirming where to put the boxed items and placement of heavier furniture. They had no problems when we asked them to adjust the bed frame or cabinets and by the end of the day, everything was exactly where we wanted it to be. Wow! What an experience! I have heard the horror stories of moving so I prepared and found Safeway movers. We called a few different companies and Safeway was by far the best over the phone, most detailed, and helped my family prepare more than any other group. Gameday: The team shows up on time, greets us and each other, did a brief walk through, and got right to work. You can see the team is friendly with each other and works great together. They have professional clean trucks they obviously take care of. They have an efficient system which saved us time and money. Everything was organized and efficient. They care for my belongings and treated us with respect. At the new home they put the boxed and furniture in the correct room, put together correctly, and nothing was broken. You can't go wrong with Safe Way. I was looking for experienced movers to help me move from a 3-story condo to a second floor condo, knowing that I had a heavy, wide sleeper sofa that required some maneuvering to get in and out. And also some tight parking. Right from the start I was put at ease as Roy looked at my place on google maps to confirm access would be okay. 4.5 stars - these guys are great! We moved over the weekend and I was dreading it for weeks. We lived at our house for over 7 years and I knew how much stuff we accumulated. I knew it'd be a bitch getting everything packed and organized. I would say the only bright point was having all of our heavy items and furniture expertly moved by Mike and his crew. They arrived right in the middle of their time window and chatted with my husband for a few minutes about the logistics. Soon after, they started hustling and dividing and conquering the furniture/heavier items. I heard from some folks that you need to make sure the movers are constantly active and not "idle" but these guys were fast and furious for the entire time. So fast indeed that I had to quickly wipe down any dusty furniture if they were in the vicinity before they could haul it away! Helpful hints to make the move easier/smoother for everyone: - Make sure you clearly label all your boxes and tell them where things should go beforehand - Dust all items BEFORE they come so you don't have to follow them around in the rooms to ensure the furniture is clean before they assemble it - Give them their space and try to do your own thing away from them (no small children around either) - Make sure they stay hydrated (Offer Gatorade, Water, etc.) read more

They finished the job early...I'm going to say that last part again...EARLY!!! and anticipated our every need. I could not recommend Safe Way enough. I have moved many, many times and always just tried to overlook the movers and their sloppy ways and lack of concern. Sometimes I even felt the movers seemed shady. Well, Safe way moved me last week. They were on time and drove a nice new truck. All three guys were polite and seemed to enjoy their work. They didn't just bring wardrobe boxes, they loaded all my clothes into the boxes and never any mentioned they would do it. They just did. All furniture wrapped carefully. This is the best part, when I got to my new house, not only had they unloaded everything, they placed my furniture in each room as if I already lived there. Tv was on TV cabinet facing my couch. Chairs around dining room table AND my clothes were hanging in my closets! I have never ever seen anything like it. It was like an interior decorator told them where to arrange things. They came, they packed, the price was economical compared to others... #truly On day two, moving - we added moving stuff out of destination area and lastly going to Goodwill. They easily adapted to modification - throughout their prices were realistic and fair! The move was so exceptional ...! We just used Safe Way again five years later for a local move, and had another great experience. I'd seriously give them 10 stars if I could. We were moving out of a three-level home with tight stairs and challenging corners and the crew got everything moved in perfect condition. The team that worked with us was four people, and they worked well together to keep things moving while not going so fast that they damaged anything. Just as importantly, everyone was very friendly, seemed genuinely happy to be helping us out, and went out of their way to make things easy for us on what is usually a stressful day. A few tips: 1. Book in advance. We called about two weeks out and they were able to squeeze us in, but only because we'd used them before. 2. It's worth booking four guys or more if it's not a small move. It's easier on them which means they can keep the pace up and work more efficiently. 3. Show them what they are moving and then let them do their thing. They know what to pack first and what to leave til last. 4. I know you're juggling a lot on moving day, but having some bottled waters on hand for the guys, buying them lunch, and tipping at the end are a nice way to say thanks for the very hard work they are doing. read more

MOVING SUCKS! These people made it suck a lot less. From the first phone call to reserve a date/truck, with a follow up in between to make sure they could accommodate so much CRAP! The Crew was great (sorry forgot everyones name) they were careful as can be (IT is near impossible to move & not scratch or slightly damage something, if you think so then you are unreasonable & should just buy all new stuff), these guys did very little IF any damage, I could not find any & what I did see months later is so insignificant I probably did it before they did. 3 years ago, in 2018. We moved from a two bedroom to a three bedroom. It was my first time using them. I had 3 guys, they were incredible! They move fast and did not waste time.
