Fantastic moving company. Both the staff in the office (Kaycie) and the moving team were a pleasure to work with. They packed the day before. I walked them through how I wanted it all moved and they truly listened. They were transparent w/ the cost by stating how much day 1 totaled. The next day they arrived with a large moving truck to move everything. They stayed until everything was completed and we're so kind to our doggies trying to "help". I used Safeway moving in a previous move and I was very satisfied! So when it came time for me to move from Huntington Beach to Chino Hills of course Safeway was the moving company I contacted and again my expectations were exceeded! Mike M. and Bo were my movers today and they really worked hard! I moved from a second floor 1bd apt with a elevator to a 3rd floor apt with no elevator. I had an oversize couch that had to be maneuver a certain way to get up three flights of stairs. I had a king size bed and mattress with tons of boxes, I had multiple items that were glass and none were broken Mike M. & Bo took care of with all my furniture like it was their own furniture . Not once did they complain not once did they waste time they worked extremely hard to get me moved in I will be a lifetime user of Safeway moving company again thank you Mike M and Bo you both worked your butt off and I am so thankful for your help. SM 6/15/18 - It's a new year and I moved again I'm a designer so I tend to move often and of course I called my favorite moving company and I move from a third floor to a first floor and Brian and Riley were my movers, they were so professional, fast and courteous! BEWARE! I had a valuable antique item STOLEN! I had to report it to the police department and the district attorney general's office! Thus, they have a thief! Antique was worth $15,000! Additionally, I had many items damaged and destroyed and they refused to honor the insurance, I paid for, (with no deductible), even with pictures that proved the damage, due to their NEGLIGENT mishandling of my belongings. My credit card company reversed the entire moving fee, after I was able to proved that a valuable antique item was stolen, but I still ended up with $22,000 in damages! read more

Matt (the team leader), Mauricio, and Irving did a flawless job moving us locally in Huntington Beach. Matt came in the day before to pack our kitchen and dining room, with much of the fine china and crystal going to Arizona on a different move. Everything made it to both locations without a single item being broken (Go Matt!). These guys worked their rears off on a hot and humid beach day, and had I known they also serviced moves to Arizona, I would have used them for our 2nd move as well. I read lots of horror stories on Yelp about bad moving experiences, so I was a bit nervous going into this. Matt and his team came through perfectly, and were unfailingly polite and careful with both our belongings and our house. I recommend them without hesitation to anyone making a move. read more

I definitely do Not recommend. It was such a hassle. They always have problems with gate codes, Office is always closed, and they always say they will return your call. Their excuse is always "we have a new General Manager". I've been waiting to fix this problem since December and we're already in March. read more

It's been 16 years since I moved so I was very nervous and quite skeptical of moving companies after hearing some horror stores. I chose SafeWay based on their stellar Yelp reviews. I couldn't be happier. Scott & Alex showed up on time and did such a great job. There were some definite challenges getting things out of my house, but they got it done without one complaint. I even had a dozen eggs packed in my box of food from the refrigerator and not one got broken! :) They were friendly, polite and hard working. I was quoted a price for their minimum charges, and that's exactly what I paid. No hidden fees, no added charges, no surprises. Highly recommend this company and these 2 guys. Mike, Mike, Cody, Cody were the A-team that helped us with our recent move into our new home. What can I say.... Moving can be stressful, especially so because we had to handover our previous home to the new owners the very same day. I can't imagine how it could have been possible without the fantastic job that the moving team did. They worked fast, they were very efficient, were very very careful in both the homes and most of all took care of the details without us needing to micromanage. Safe Way Moving was recommended to me by my realtor and they were AWESOME. I used them for packing and a local move from Costa Mesa to San Juan Capistrano. I arranged my move about 3 weeks in advance and the estimate was provided by phone with Roy. The crew for both packing and moving was prompt, polite, professional, and just generally pleasant to be around (hey moving is stressful so it was nice to be around these guys!). I believe it crew consisted of Eric, Garrett, Cody, and Mauricio though I may have a few of those names wrong. Packing took about 3.5 hours and moving took another 6 (I split it into two days). The guys were very careful to wrap everything and they were very mindful of our new home. Nothing was damaged! They even cleaned up after themselves. As for pricing, they were the best of several quotes I received. If you're needing to move, I would highly recommend this company. I think they do long distance moves too. This was my second move with Safe-Way and both moves were exceptional. I contacted Safe-Way for a move across town. Kacee responded to my move request within a day and was wonderful on the phone -- very polite and knowledgeable. She walked me through the estimate and called to confirm the move prior to the move date. On move day, Matt showed up and did a walk through of the house to create a plan for the move with the crew, Mauricio and Irving. I was super stressed out due to what felt like endless nights of packing but as soon as they showed up, I felt like I could relax for the first time in weeks. We used Safeway to do a local move. I called a few companies prior to booking. Safe Way was 40 more per hour than other companies quoted, but I had a good feeling after speaking with the office and reading other companies reviews that the guys were constantly taking breaks, I decided to book Safe Way. The guys did arrive about an hour later than quoted but had excellent attitudes and worked very hard. I don't know how they are so cheery doing such hard work. Also, Kaycie who is detailed and answered all my questions made me feel comfortable to proceed in using their services for our move. On moving day, Dave, Dave, Cody and Cody, yes! Two Mike's and two Cody's showed up and carefully and efficiently prepared our belongings and loaded them in record time. Is a 10 possible? I am a 61 year old woman who had spent weeks preparing my house for sale and then packing both my house and garage (14 years of stuff). I was beyond exhaustion and very concerned about whether the move would go smoothly or not. In walked Mike1, Mike2, and Eric. They went through the house with me, Mike1 then explained the process and, after that, they went to work and NEVER stopped. All I heard was their wonderful music, and them chatting and laughing. Once we got to my new house, it was apparent the moving truck could not make it down the driveway due to the trees. They had to take my things down a long driveway and up several stairs, yet they never complained. They immediately started chatting and laughing and, again, NEVER stopped until they were done. Please do not choose this company!!! They have too many hidden fees and didnt even bother to explain the fees. They were just here $700 for 4 hours and that was just to move out. What a rip off!!! The movers were a skinny guy and a women. They were not as strong and as fast as the normal stronger big guy. My two guys friends were there to help them and they did even more lifting. They aldo charge you $120 for walking more than 75 steps. Thats ridiculous. They didn't tell me until the end. I wound have find another company. If you choose this company, make sure to request strong big guys and ask about all the hidden fee. read more

Mike and Eric were my movers and let me tell you it is sooo worth it to hire movers! They were so fast and made sure to protect all of my furniture which I really appreciate. My wife and I just moved from Irvine to Mission Viejo. Safe Way Moving was recommended by a friend and I'm so thankful he recommended them. Roy was great and gave us a quote over the phone. I was so relieved to hear that they could squeeze us in with just a week of notice. Bryan, Mauricio, and Irving were all great! They laughed and joked the entire 6.5 hours, even as they were lifting incredibly heavy pieces of furniture. We were shocked at how efficient they were and how thorough they were at wrapping and protecting our furniture and TV. They have about a million moving blankets and 1000 miles of shrink wrap on the truck. Once they got to our new place, they put down carpet runners to protect the floors. I have a huge office desk that they happily removed and re-installed an interior door to get it through. Bryan took apart and re-intalled our bed set as well. One of the most convenient aspects of the day was the wardrobe boxes that are provided. While the guys loaded the truck with boxes, we loaded all of the clothes hanging in our closet right into the wardrobe boxes. Nothing had to get wrinkled or ruined! It was fantastic. If you need to move, don't think twice. Give these guys a call and they will treat you right! read more

They are awesome! I've moved 7 times, and they are the best I've had. Not a scratch on my wood floors or furniture. Nothing broken. I changed my mind about where to put my furniture a few times--they moved it again without complaint. Roy was the one I was speaking with and he is one of the most sincere and honest people I have ever had the pleasure of speaking with. Didn't get to experience their moving skill, because the broker - Roy - has been a nightmare to communicate to. His quotes were the highest and his "promises" of free packing supplies have been all over the place. His email often arrive empty and his "quotes" are merely screenshots of half the document. Very unprofessional. Don't waste your time. Get a real moving company. After a week of trying to get a real quote from him, his "binding" estimate went up. If we weren't experienced in moving, we might have fallen for his tricks. Beware that he will throw a lot of jargon your way and promise what he cannot deliver. Nothing binding. Outstanding service by Mike M. and his crew at a very affordable rate!! They packed up our kitchen, bath, clothes and all our knick knacks perfectly. Our furniture was loaded carefully and very well protected from a 3-story townhome with slim openings, with zero marks on walls floors or baseboards. Continue for a breakdown of my AMAZING experience... For starters the receptionist, Rene was polite, professional and VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE. She patiently answered all of my questions about the process and the price estimates. Yes, I thought the price was expensive initially BUT, I would soon become a believer! Ha! I agreed with Rene's suggestion of 2 workers instead of 3 like I thought I needed. FYI I'm leaving a 3BD, 2BA fully furnished apartment (approx. 1400sq ft). Price was $100 (for both men) an hour with 3 hour min. On a Saturday. One day before moving day Renee called to verify and assured me of the arrival time and smooth process. Moving day ERIC & STEVE came and worked very hard with tenacity and a sense of urgency! They were personable yet, professional, nice but still respectable. They took their time when needed moving delicate items but finished very fast. It is pleasure am to have spent $500+ for QUALITY CUSTOMER BASED SERVICE. I would spend that and more for hard working ppl and a company that "gets it." Another successful move thanks to Mike, Mauricio and Cody at Safeway Moving! They showed up on time, moved all of our stuff from one home to another at lightning fast speed, were extremely careful and as always, courteous and friendly. While we have no intention of moving again anytime soon, if we did, we would call them again in a heartbeat. Friendly tip: They are providing a service that could technically be done by most of us, albeit difficult. Therefore, be kind and treat them to some lunch, or at least provide some water or Gatorade. SafeWay moved us out of our home in Coto after 18 yrs and were phenomenal! Fair prices & the guys were super helpful and fun at the same time! We then decided to store some furniture and Christmas decor. Always so gracious when I call to come and pick up. You do need to give them 24 hours notice but always pleasant and congenial -whoever you speak with and when you pick up the same friendly manner. It's hard to figure out how many stars to give this company. A family member had 3 good experiences with this company. We had one really impressive move and a not very impressive move. Unfortunately the events of our second move out weigh the first. During the first move they wrapped everything in plastic. Couch, mattress, everything that might get dirty. Second move, not so much. Even when we asked them to wrap our mattress and recliner in plastic they wouldn't do it. So we asked them to please wash their hands before moving our mattress and recliner. Did they? Let me put it this way, if you need the movers hand print or fingerprints, we can still provide them from our recliner. Then, they lost the parts to our older IKEA bed. Grant it the guy in charge of the crew that day took responsibility and made an effort to find them at the ikea store. However they don't make those parts anymore. We slept on our mattress on the floor for a week before I finally went to the hardware store and found similar parts that worked and fixed our bed myself. This was after I called the company twice and the office finally told me the issue had to be resolved between me and the driver. No one has contacted me to follow up since my call to them around May 12, 2015. I think it is hit or miss with the crew you get. We asked for the same crew for the second move that we had during the first move, but I don't think it was the same guys. They mentioned it was a busy day and they had to hire extra help. So maybe that's what happened. I will say both times the crew showed up on time and they hustled to load and unload the truck. They took everything we asked them to take and even suggested using the bottom of the boxes that you hang the clothes in for odd shaped items or hard to pack items. They were always friendly and we never saw them standing around. Everyone we came in contact with were very nice and professional. However they need to work on calling people back. Several times before and after our move we waited for call backs and had to call for an update. Considering everything, if we move again we will probably look elsewhere even though we hate to take a chance with our stuff. Good luck. read more
