    Mango Sticky Rice

5/5 for the service, ambience, and cleanliness of the restaurant. Where the review falls short is honestly the the food. If a restaurant is going to advertise as fusion, I would hope both cuisines they want to specialize in is yummy. Sadly, the Thai dishes that we had were not that very good. Edible, but flavorless and texture was chewy. I had the Thai yellow curry. I can appreciate the option of having a no spice level, since my tolerance is really low, but I still expect to taste the coconut and herbs from the curry. It was also runny and more broth-like than rich. Unfortunately, I barely tasted any. I ended up taking it home and combining it with my own yellow curry. My friend had the Pad Sa Ew with chicken and the noodles were too mushy and overcooked. Interestingly, it was topped with shredded red cabbage and had both broccoli and Chinese broccoli. She was not able to finish the rest of her meal. We finished with the Mango Sticky Rice and they definitely captured the flavor, but the consistency of the rice was clumpy. This was their only dish, during our visit, that was decent. While I can appreciate all the hard work that goes into starting a restaurant, having a solid menu with good cooking is essential. I hope to see improvements with the flavors, at least for the Thai dishes. Overall, we had a good experience, but disappointed by the food.

Vibe: A small but cozy space. The decor is somewhat minimal but looks elegant. The seating looks appropriately spaced out so it doesn't feel cramped despite the small space. Service: So sweet and friendly! They make you feel at home and will help you understand anything on the menu or answer any questions. Food: Delicious! There wasn't one bad dish. The flavors were all just right and the portions were a decent size. Papaya Salad - We added shrimp to it and the taste was perfect. My mom really enjoyed it and since it we asked for non-spicy, she loved it even more. I accidentally forgot they included the chili with the peanuts and dumped it all on, so be careful with that! Maybe ask for only peanuts if you can't handle spice and are forgetful like me. Tofu Garlic Noodles - A little sweet and a little savory. Wonderfully fragrant of garlic and onions. I enjoyed it a lot and finished off the whole plate. Veggie eggrolls - I love the size because so many places make thick ass eggrolls and this was a good size. Not tiny, not huge, etc. Fried to a crisp with a yummy filling. Pho Chin - My mom is a picky pho eater. She rarely likes a pho bowl made by other people. The broth was just right and they put less noodle like we asked. My mom only likes fatty meat cuts and they indeed only gave her that. Overall, a wonderful experience! We will definitely be back. I'm glad I decided to make the trip here after seeing them on Tiktok!

Such a cozy and lovely restaurant. The place is clean and lots of tables inside and outside. The owners are very friendly and help recommend so many good dishes. Big portions to share and each dish is packed with flavor. The fried rice - loaded with seafood!! Sampler - loved this plate. It has a little of everything so it's perfect to share with friends. Chicken wings and eggrolls were crispy and delicious. Salmon garlic noodles - noodles had good texture, great garlic flavor, and salmon cooked nicely Mango papaya salad - fresh, sweet, tart, and spicy. Everything you need in a good salad

Nice cozy little restaurant that's situated off Valley View. The restaurant is very clean. As we walked in, we were welcomed right away. Everyone in the restaurant was so nice and attentive. Very sweet. The food was great! Pad Thai (Beef) - big portion and the beef was very tender. lots of flavor. Pho Tai - big portion and the soup was flavorful. they give the right amount of noodles but wish they gave a little bit more meat. Overall I would come here and eat again. I would want to try other dishes next time though.

Saigon Bistrot, a Vietnamese-Thai fusion which opened late April of 2025 which I had to bookmark and visit with my girlfriend whenever we were around the area. Well we've finally took the time and visit, TWICE and here's a few of my thoughts on the place! The restaurant has a pleasant, homey vibe with all types of crowds coming in and out whether dining in or ordering for to-go/picking up which I found exceptional. The owners Sam and Angela took good care of us and made sure we had the best experience on our visit. Very calm and friendly people with a lot to say through their food! During our couple visits, we made to sure to order an appetizer along with each of our dish, so let's talk about Saigon Bistrot's entrees! FOOD Tom Yum Wings We love chicken wings and Tom Yum soup. What better way to fuse 2 of our beloved dishes together! Honestly, one of our favorite appetizers that come in a variety of flavors! Tom Yum is our favorite but we'll be trying the other flavors the next time we visit! Cajun Butterfly Shrimps(5 pieces) Perfect crisp with the Cajun seasoning, complimenting the entirety of each bite. This is a MUST-HAVE, especially if you love shrimp. Goes great with the dipping sauce that's provided! Filet Mignon Pho Now, I've only taken a couple sips from the broth and it was delightful! Saigon Bistrot nailed it with this dish cause my girlfriend already had it each time we visited so looks like I'll be ordering it the next time we're there! Seafood Deluxe Tom Yum Soup Definitely a heart-healthy type of dish that's served with vermicelli noodles! Loved everything about it and I'm not just saying that cause I love Tom Yum soup but the balance of flavor, vegetables and protein is consistent! Exceptional soup dish that I highly recommend! Chicken Pad See Ew Great dish and an absolute crowd-favorite! Packed with flavor in every bite! I really enjoyed that they added their own twist onto this dish to make it their own. I'll have to give this one another try with a different protein next time! Signature Viet-Thai Super Topping (Che Thap Cam) Highly popular dessert mix that's a great way to end a delicious meal! If you're familiar or interested in giving this a try after eating, this is the perfect dessert to top everything off! OVERALL I really enjoy places like this. Very chill vibe to bring some friends, family or significant other along. Owners, Sam and Angela are very sweet, friendly and hard-working. They've got an energy that synergizes with each other and the customers, which makes being there and eating their delicious food even better! Thank you again for having us Saigon Bistrot, we'll be seeing you soon!

    6/25 House pho

Stopped for early lunch with my MIL. Been meaning to try this new spot since they opened. Interior is modern & comfortable. An upgrade from previous occupants. My MIL had the pork Ban Mi with side salad. She raved about the sandwich. Not a Chinese style cha sui flavor but more of a soy sauce sugar type roast pork. Salad was dressed lightly with an Asian rice vinegar sugar/honey (maybe ginger) dressing. She LOVED the dressing. My choice of the house pho (rare beef, brisket, tripe & tendon) was SO GOOD! Complex slightly sweet broth. For me, broth really is the star when it comes to pho. It's very good here. There were ample meats & tender tendons. One of the meats was cut a bit thicker than I'm use to. It wasn't difficult to chew, just thicker. Could have used a bit more bean sprouts which was probably available upon asking but we were n a hurry. The coolest thing was the utensil drawer beneath the table. Like a utensil drawer at home which housed the spoons, forks, chopsticks & straws. Had the usual table top condiments:housing, chili sauce, Sriracha, etc. Overall a nice place so close to my neighborhood. We're so happy to have a viet/thai fusion place nearby. It was sorely needed in this neighborhood. With the extensive menu, we both decided we needed several more trips to taste all the menu items we were drooling over. The proprietress was VERY attractive. Service was quick & helpful.

Excellent new Vietnamese / Thai fusion restaurant that took over the Kerostena and Taboon location. Instead of just taking over the spot they gave it a beautiful makeover adding both booths and tables. Owners Sam and Angela are the friendliest people and they have so much pride in their restaurant. Prices are reasonable with a large selection Vietnamese and Thai dishes that includes a vegetarian section. They've got interesting beverages and desserts too! I live within walking distance of this restaurant so I am really glad they're here! If the menu looks familiar they used to own Saigon District in Huntington Beach and carried over a lot of items. My favorite that they kept is the sautéed tofu salad. Sounds boring yet it's packed with so much flavor and makes for a healthy satisfying meal. The cajun salmon is also delicious! Place was busy the entire time we were there so it seems like this is exactly what the area needed. Welcome to the neighborhood!!

To go #22 with tripe, tendon, rare beef
    Julie L.

$5 for 2 chicken spring rolls $17 pho #22 special (tripe!) Portions are just ok but I know everything is expensive nowadays. There is an option to order additional protein but not a larger pho size in general. The broth is really good; I was told it was pressure cooked bone broth. The owners are very nice and hard working. All in all due to the location being very close I will likely come back. I got my order to go & it was very quick. There were a few other customers so it wasn't loud but they had music on. There's a few outside tables too which is a nice option & breeze.

My wife was feeling Pho would be a good choice given the cold weather. We happened to be in Garden Grove that day and thought we'd give this place a shot. My big word for the spot...grace. While the food was quite delicious, our service was sub par. My wife and I were hoping to get in and out in roughly 30 minutes (infant was sleeping). We were sat immediately but no one took our order for literally 20 minutes. I'm sitting across the table from my now angry and frustrated wife. She says "let's just leave." Right as we are closing the menus, our server comes. We obviously ended up staying but to my wife's reluctance. From ordering to food delivery was about 5 minutes. And while the interior is cute and gives a Saigon vibe, my wife was just ready to go. And finally, grace... As we are leaving I spot the "open on X day" sign. They just opened their doors a couple days ago. With that in consideration 4 stars was appropriate. I'm willing to give them another shot but I'm not going out of my way to come back.

We found a gem for Vegetarian dishes!! I'm not but my friend is so I try to find Veg friendly!! We didn't even get to try everything they offered but everything we did try was delicious!! Do not skip the papaya salad it's so well balanced down to the toasted sesame seeds!! Garlic Fried rice and curry!! All so good!!

A nice little hidden gem in Garden Grove serving the best Vietnamese and Thai fusion! Immediately as you walk in, we were greeted by the staff and the interior was decorated beautifully. The service was amazing, got seated immediately and food came out so fast. We ordered the wings, deluxe fried rice, and the chicken pad Thai and everything was absolutely delicious.. The deluxe fried rice had different types of protein chicken shrimp shell fish etc and was the star of the show. The wings were fish sauce coated, an item that you can't find anywhere else. Also their Thai tea was one of the best I had. Overall, everything was good. Come out and support the business! 5/5 stars.

This place looks new but I want to say everything is decently priced and it tastes really good! The service was nice and the guy who took my order in a crutch was very friendly. Ambiance wise everything was clean and it offered a nice table sitting.

This Vietnamese restaurant in West Garden Grove is a welcome addition to our community! The food is delicious-from the spring rolls to my favorite classic Vietnamese dish, vermicelli noodles. The owners are gracious Prompt and helpful in serving the customers. If you like Thai food, they have some wonderful Thai offerings as well. Although we are close to Little Saigon is wonderful to have a great Vietnamese place nearby. This is also a great freeway close option to the 405 and the 22 if you're traveling. Will definitely be back!

They have a variety of appetizers like chicken wings, popcorn chicken, fried fish balls, and bulgogi fries. We ordered #62- BUN THIT NUONG TOM CHA GIO (vermicelli with grilled pork, grilled shrimp, and pork egg roll) $17 and chicken pad thai. The bun thit nuong tom cha gio was absolutely delicious! I think this is my new favorite place for this dish. The portion was huge but I ate it all. The pork was tender and slightly spicy, the shrimp was a little small but juicy, and the egg roll was nice and crispy. The fish sauce was a little spicy for me but it added just the right amount of kick. The chicken pad thai was okay. Don't go to a Vietnamese restaurant and order Thai food. The chicken was tender but the pad Thai did not have the right flavor to it. They also sell boba drinks here. There is something here for everyone, and they OPEN UNTIL 1AM most days for your late night cravings! There is plenty of seating inside, but the parking can be a bit of an issue if it's busy. The only thing lacking when I came was the service. We had to wait about 15 minutes to order and had to wave a waiter down to get service (and they weren't even busy on a weekday past lunch time) as he didn't see us when we tried to get his attention earlier. We also had to request water when our food came out. If it weren't for the food, I would not come back here. Please train your staff to be more attentive. Yelp Review #54- 2026

Overall, all the foods are pretty good, nothing stuck out as absolutely bad but I will say the pork tomahawk, seafood malfadine and mentaiko pizza were the most underwhelming, especially considering some of the hype behind some reviews. To be fair, I'm not a crazy seafood lover so take it with a grain of salt. My father in law loved the mentaiko pizza. The pork was cooked well and tender but the sweet potato puree just was not it for me. Good thing at least my kids liked it. Seafood malfadine was just honestly somewhat bland, especially when you have dishes like the spicy miso carbonara which was my favorite thing there by far. The burrata caprese appetizer was also a complete hit as everyone in my party loved it--my 5, 3, and 1 year old devoured it. Service is very attentive and they made sure to give a small chocolate birthday slice with candle as well to help us celebrate my wife so I appreciated that. There was this blueberry dessert we also ordered that was fire but I forgot to take a pic and don't remember the name Biggest con as to why it would not be a regular spot I would frequent is price-to-worth it ratio is not there for me. Our total for 6 adults, 2 toddlers, and 2 babies was over $500. Now granted we did order lemonade drinks and like 1 too many pastas (had gotten 3 seafood malfadine) but even if I conservatively subtract $100 that's still over $60/adult. So while the food is good, personally I would say it's not good enough at that price point. But nonetheless a good experience!

The restaurant was lively for a random weekday. Friendly staff from beginning to end. My friend ordered the shrimp fried rice. I got sticky rice and creme brûlée iced coffee along with the shrimp salad appetizer to try. Food came out relatively fast. The food presentation looked appealing. I have to say the shrimp salad was delicious, crunchy, cold, with robust flavor. I could eat that on my own! My friends really liked it too. I didn't try her fried rice, but she said it was tasty. My sticky rice was also good with traditional Vietnamese flavors was what I expected from xoi. Creme brûlée coffee was very decadent. I drank half and saved other half for the next day. Overall we had a lovely experience. What made it extra nice was the fact that they brought out a an ice cream dessert for my friend with a candle and everything! It's truly the small gestures that make the overall experience IMO.

We ordered the Papaya Salad, Garlic Chicken Rolls and their Beef Jerky Special. We had a lovely conversation with the owner and she gave us special instructions on how to eat everything, such as eating the jerky with a small ball of sticky rice and sauce, followed by a mouthful of papaya salad as a palate cleanser--We followed those instructions to a T and it was truly enjoyable! For impressions of each Entree: The Papaya Salad is incredible, we ordered it with a mild spice level sauce. It's light, flavorful and refreshing and serves as a perfect palate cleanser if you order it with another item, but having it on its own is perfectly fine as well. The Garlic Chicken Roll was fantastic, crispy roll and tender chicken on the inside. It came with a sweet dipping sauce that had a flavor we weren't expecting but a nice surprise. The Beef Jerky Special: I absolutely love the idea of the beef jerky with a crispy-charred outer shell. My critique would be to dial back the charred-ness a little bit so that it doesn't dominate the center flavor. It goes perfectly well with the sticky rice and the sauce it comes with is really nice. Really great establishment with great customer service, I look forward to visiting again!

Our waitress was always there when we needed her and would check up on us consistently! The place is very spacious, music was lively, and overall great atmosphere. Bathrooms were clean and it had a mouth wash dispenser including the cup As for food and drinks, everything was so delicious! Yuzu Lemonade was very refreshing and was a nice mix of the flavors. The yuzu and lemonade didn't overpower each other, and a nice touch of the mint leaf! Kei Coconut Ube had a nice taste to it. The sweetness was nice, super purple in color, and worth trying at least once. Drink definitely does not look or taste like a beer so think of it as a sparkling Ube drink when you try it. Beef Tongue appetizer was very tasty and the appearance was pretty. The sauce was very delicious with a hint of citrus. Beef Bowl Udon was delicious as well. The udon noodles are in the middle of the thickness level. Broth was nice and refreshing, and the beef belly was super soft and tasted amazing. Seafood Tom Kha Ramen was really good. Seafood in it were shrimps, scallops, and squid/calamari. Not too spicy, but had a nice kick to it. Veggies were nice and mixed well with the seafood ramen! Unfortunately, the eggs do not come with the udon or ramen, but they do have free unlimited ramen noodles!!! They let you get it for the udon broths as well! Would definitely come back to this place when I'm back in this part of town!
