There are so many Vietnamese restaurants lined up along Westminster Blvd, but I picked this one since it had a good rating and was close to where I needed to be. From the name, you can tell it's a Thai-Japanese fusion spot. The place is pretty spacious, and they have a weekday lunch special for $13.95. Most regular dishes are around $13-$17, which is quite reasonable. My friends and I tried the Vietnamese spring rolls ($14.95), Pad Thai ($14.95), fried rice ($14.95), and Thai iced tea ($4), all the basic comfort picks. The male server didn't ask who ordered what, just set everything on the table, which felt a bit casual but fine. Overall, the food was okay and I would say it's more of an Asian flavor profile that seems to cater to Western taste buds. Sumran Thai Cuisine 6482 Westminster Blvd., Westminster, CA 92683

Great small Thai place. We came around dinner time and had a group of 9. There was no wait and we were seated right away! This time we tried the Pad Kee Mao and the Kao Soi. The Pad Kee Mao was really good and tasty. I will say for the price it is a little too expensive. 4/5 The Kao Soi was amazing and was perfect! Great sweet sour and creamy taste! 5/5 Definitely will be a new go to Thai place!

Sumran Thai Cuisine has officially become my go-to spot for authentic Thai food. I recently tried their Chicken Pad Thai and Raw Shrimp (Goong Chae Nam Pla), and both dishes blew me away. The Chicken Pad Thai was perfectly balanced--sweet, tangy, and just the right hint of spice. The noodles had that ideal chewy texture, and the chicken was tender and flavorful. I loved the fresh bean sprouts, crushed peanuts, and a squeeze of lime to bring it all together. It's comfort food with serious flair. But the standout for me was the Raw Shrimp. This dish was a showstopper--fresh, clean, and bursting with flavor. The shrimp were topped with garlic, chili, and mint leaves, served over crisp shredded cabbage with a bold seafood dipping sauce in the center. It was refreshing, spicy, and absolutely addicting. If you're looking for top-quality Thai cuisine with beautiful presentation and authentic taste, Sumran Thai Cuisine is a must-visit. I can't wait to come back and try more of their menu! Everything was pleasant but service was a bit slow. Around a 15-20 min wait just for the naked shrimp appetizer

Thai food and Sushi combo...yes please! The staff is so friendly and accommodating and the environment is homey! Food was delicious but I would ask for more so ice next time!

The restaurant closes at 3 in the afternoon, but we got there around 1:30 and there wasn't a wait to be seated. We got the pad thai and the pad see ew, both were really good. We also got the mango sticky rice that was a pretty good portion and a lot of mangos. The staff was really nice. We ended up not noticing we stayed past 3 by like 5 mins and they didn't kick us out. But we did leave once we noticed.

Solid Thai place. Fast pick up and quick pick up. Ordered for pick up and food was ready within the 10-15 minute drive to get here. Pork pad kee mao - A little spicy, but the noodles were well seasoned and very savory.

If you come here and cant find something to eat, the issue lies with you. Their menu is extensive both for Thai dishes and sushi. The service was quick and attentive which I appreciate. There's lots of space for smaller groups as well as large ones. For our table of seven we ordered: 2 apps, 1 soup, 1 curry, 2 noodle dishes, and 2 mango sticky rices. We left STUFFED. I loved the tempura shrimp in their appetizer. The yellow curry goes really well with tofu! Our server recommended it because she said the tofu really soaks up the flavors and it really does! The pad see ew and pad Thai were solid so I can see that being a staple order. The mango sticky rice came out super cute and yummy as well! Overall I find this a solid place for good authentic Thai food. The wait for service and food isn't crazy and they have so much to choose from. I can't wait to return to try more of the unique dishes!

This spot is a mix of sushi and Thai food. Perfect for my bf and I since I don't eat sushi. This is his chance to get sushi! Haha I ordered the Tom yum noodle soup as that's my favorite Thai dish. I noticed that the soup was very very sweet. I had to ask for some lime on the side to make the soup more sour to my liking. I wasn't a big fan of the broth. I also got the avocado roll which was delicious. It came with giant pieces of avocado inside! The servers were kind and attentive. I definitely want to come back to give their other items on the menu a try.

We shared a variety of dishes: -Papaya Salad: A Lao style papaya salad. Super flavorful, crisp, and fresh. Honestly great just eating it on its own. I also liked the raw crab in it which was nice to suck on. -Lao Sausage: Meaty and good. I liked how the flavor wasn't too strong and offputting. The sauce it came with was good, but a bit hard to dip in. This paired well with the sticky rice. -Crispy Fried Rice (Nam Kao Tod): Super unique dish! I liked folding the crispy rice with sour pork bits into the lettuce wraps which was fresh, crispy, and texture heaven. While the food was solid, I did think the prices were on the higher side for the area. It might be because of the ingredients if I had to take a guess. The service here was pretty good. They have ample parking spots in front of the restaurant in the lot.

My total came to $41.33, and I paid with $100.35 in cash. I was given $59.00 back in change, so I politely mentioned that I was still owed $0.02. I even said, "It's okay, you can keep it." What bothered me wasn't the two cents--it was the owner's response. He told me that "the government said we're not allowed to use pennies anymore." That simply isn't true. Pennies are still legal U.S. currency, and I had just received pennies as change at a grocery store earlier that day. If a business chooses not to keep pennies on hand or has a rounding policy, that's one thing, but telling customers the government no longer allows the use of pennies is misleading. This was never about two cents. It was about honesty and customer service. As a business owner, if you owe a customer change, you should either provide it or explain your store's policy truthfully--not make a statement that isn't accurate. Unfortunately, that interaction left a poor impression and took away from what could have been an otherwise pleasant experience.

My favorite dish was the Tom Yum for sure. It tastes very authentic and I love how they put a lot of mushroom in the soup. The spicy and savoriness was well balanced. If it's a little salty, eat it with rice. Makes a good combo! At the very end, we were very full and we had to Togo the soup.
