The shrimp rolls were really good there, however the pho here seems to be lacking. I had their P1 large which is the pho with all the works, but the broth was just not flavorful compared to some of the other phos I've been to. It's my first time here, since I decided to come by seeing their 4-star rating. It is a bit puzzling, since maybe I should've tried something else on the menu instead of the pho. Hubby & I came here last night after working because we are craving some comfort food. We weren't sure if Vacaville had a good pho spot. We consider ourselves pretty spoiled (my hubby is from San Jose, which is pretty much Little Saigon), and I'm from Oakland (I always used to get Pho from Kevin's spot in East Oakland). In general, we have very high expectations on what "good" pho tastes like. Moving to Vacaville where the population is predominantly Caucasian, we were worried we couldn't find any good pho! Well, this place proved us wrong!! This cute little mom & pop shop is run by a Vit family, and the place is a little banged up, but that just means it's a real family restaurant. We got seated as soon as we walked in, and we put our orders in right away. I got the Bun Bo Hue, and hubby got the noodle dish. I've came here once before and also had their Pho. Their service is fast (soup comes out in like 10 minutes). Quality of ingredients are fresh, and broth flavor is on point. So happy we found this spot! Prices are reasonable as well. The pho here is pretty good. Good broth, nice noodle consistency, fresh meat, and fresh veggies. I would likely eat here again after the COVID19 pandemic subsides and it's safer to eat in restaurants. I have had take out pho a few times from a more local (to me) pho restaurant. They package their take out food much better than Saigon Pho. Saigon Pho puts hot and cool items all in the same container in the same bag so all the cool food (veggies and spring roll) were warm by the time I got home. Such a great find for Vietnamese food! Being from San Diego and living in Davis for 5 years, it's been hard to find a Viet place that satisfies my cravings and meets expectations for high quality but inexpensive pho. This place checked all the boxes. Variety - check Quality - check Service - check Price - check A large bowl of pho goes for $8 (which compares to a Davis small at Pho King.) The ingredients were fresh and they weren't stingy on the meat. The broth could have been more flavorful, but I don't want to be quick to judge - it could have just been a weaker batch so I want to give it another try. We also ordered banh mi which was so fricken delicious. It looks a little dry but don't be fooled, the thit nuong is so tender and they give a hefty amount of meat (don't worry if you don't see it - its hidden behind loads of fresh greens). And it's only $5 for 1 sandwich!! (That's not something I can get in Davis.) Just for the sake of it, I timed when we placed our order to when we got the food - it was 4 minutes and 36 seconds. I know everything is pre-made and ready to serve but this still exceeds my past experiences at other viet restaurants. Now that I know of this place, I'll be coming here instead of driving to Sacramento for my viet fix! (I'm way too lazy and unskilled to make these dishes at home.) I stopped here on a road trip to deliver some meds and food to a sick friend. Pho is always great when sick. I ordered a meatball pho, veggie soup, gyoza, and egg rolls. My friend's taste is compromised but I know she did enjoy what she could taste of the pho/soup. The egg rolls were legitimately the best egg rolls I have ever had!! The gyoza was delicious as well. I walked in, stated I wasn't yet sure what I wanted, the woman handed me a menu and patiently stood by as I looked it over. I ordered and used touchless payment. They accept major credit cards. They also have sanitizer readily available. I was able to wait for my order indoors as long as I was standing because there is no indoor seating available, of course. My order took less than 10 minutes! I was pleased with the service, timeliness, and the taste! My food was also packaged nicely to go. I've been coming to Saigon Pho for the past couple of years. Their food is consistently good and comes out hot, fresh, and ready to eat. They also bring out plenty of fixings for your dishes which is an area where their competitors are lacking. I wish they were open for in door seating right now but their food is equally good to go. Being that we are in Davis, it's hard to find a decent Viet pho place. Came here because of the reviews and sort of by default, but the food was actually pretty good. The pho was very different. It was nothing like I've ever tasted before. It was different but pretty good. It had a very strong taste of the Viet herbs and more natural tasting, almost like home made pho broth. It was also pretty cool because they kind of work with you to customize your dish. For example, we got pho but with grilled chicken instead of their beef and they made it for us. I got a combo with rice, grilled chicken, 3 chicken wings and spring roll. They also were able to customize my grilled chicken because the original came with grilled pork chop instead. The meats were all good. I liked the grilled chicken. It was comparable to the NYC ones I'm used to so I guess this will be my go to Viet spot from now on. read more

The interior of the restaurant is not bad. There's some art hanging and overall the tables are clean. I ordered P11, steak and beef ball pho. I think it was pretty good! The beef balls were all tasty, and didn't get stuck between my teeth (sometimes they just break off funny and get stuck and I need some floss afterwards). The steak was good too. Good amount of vermicelli noodles, maybe cooked a little over how I usually like them (al dente). The soup broth was not bad as well, it was flavorful and I ate it all. I also had a bite of the grilled chicken and shrimp vermicelli bowl and that was tasty too, the chicken was flavorful and not too blackened. You get served in less than 5 minutes after ordering. My regular dish here are spring rolls and the number 1 pho will all meats. Everything is carefully crafted and presented very well. The broth is amazing and nothing short. It's certainly not overpowering as you may get from other places. THE ATMOSPHERE: I'll be completely honest, this place is a bit cramped since it's such a small venue. On weekdays at lunch, the place is easily packed and you may have to wait to get seated. Was craving pho after shopping at Vacaville Premium Outlets and this was the closest place. Right when I walked in, I realized it was as small as it looked on the outside. They have a pretty extensive menu consisting of pho, rice plates, appetizers, shakes and such. You know, the usual. I ordered the pho with steak and tripe. Right when I got the food, I noticed right away that it has a ton of MSG. Without even tasting it, I could see it lol. It didn't sway me away but if you're the type to not like MSG in your food, this place isn't for you. Luckily, I don't mind MSG. The broth was alright, nothing special. Vietnamese sandwiches! This is the only place in Vacaville (that I know of) that sells these sandwiches and they're perfect for lunch on the go, plus reasonably priced at ~$4 each. I love getting the regular BBQ pork sandwich, which comes on a hot toasted french roll, with jalapenos, cilantro, and pickled radish/carrot. You can also add an egg for ~$1 to take the sandwich to the next level. Other than this, they have pho of course, with tons of meat choices to pick from and vermicelli bowls (I particularly love the bbq shrimp and egg roll vermicelli bowl). Oh my gosh, how have I driven by this place every day for a half a year not stopped in until now? This was one of the best dinners I've had so far, since moving to Vacaville. The hubs, Wee One and I came into Saigon Pho for dinner tonight, and I am delighted to say, dear Yelpers, that our experience was fantastic. Our service was fast and friendly, and our GIANT, HUGE, ENORMOUS bowls of pho soup were amaze-ballz!!! We ordered a batch of egg rolls, I had chicken pho, the Wee One had shrimp pho, and the hubs had steak and meatball pho. The hubs and I had large bowls, and my kid had a small bowl. When our soup arrived I was shocked at the size of the bowls. The small bowl placed in from of my kid was huge, and the hubs and my bowls were enormous! Everything was delicious. The egg rolls were crispy and fresh, and served with a fish sauce based dip. They served a platter of bean sprouts, Thai basil, cilantro, sliced jalapeños, and lemon wedges with the pho. Our soups were amazing without enhancements, but I was craving something spicy so I added the jalapeño slices and cilantro to my bowl. It was SO. GOOD!!!!! One of my favorite spots in town! Its a small mom and pop restaurant but very clean and well kept. Its a hidden gem! Its comfort food for me and I come here often when I want pho and spring rolls fix. The owners are super nice and they always remember what me and my boyfriend order.
