Saigon 88 is a fantastic little family owned and operated business in the heart of Robinson Twp. The sushi is excellent and very reasonably priced! The pho is my personal favorite, a perfect blend of fresh herbs and spices make this dish the perfect comfort food. If you're in the mood for a sandwich try the banh mi! The fresh jalapeño makes its very spicy but you can always leave that out of you wish. Was in town for a funeral on my anniversary. Based on reviews, chose here for a night out. It was amazing. The sushi was so fresh and flavourful. No mushed up day old fish. The owners are so warm and welcoming and personable. They came and chatted and expressed condolences. I told my cousin about the place, a mile from.hwr house she hadn't tried. The next day, she treated us all to a meal. The owners were still just fun and warm and lovely accomodating people. We arrived shortly before closing. I hadn't realized. I hate those people that do that, and yet, I did that. They went out of their way to be welcoming, and they didn't sacrifice taste, quality, or presentation. The sushi is the freshest I've tasted ever. It is delicious and quality. Even my sushi snob parents declared it the best Tuna they've ever had, and it tied for their fave of all time sushi joint. Banh mi better than our fave at Columbus north market. Pho fragrant, comforting, warm and soothing. Boba..I've always hated the squishy bubbles. My kids love them, but the harder black tapioca.. I apparently love those. The lychee one... transcendent. My kids preferred the fruit jelly ones better. Anyway, they stayed open late for us, were charming and lovely during a family tragedy, snd delivered amazing quality food that tasted great. Niche: Filled. For years I've been lamenting the lack of banh mi in the Robinson area and finally my lamentation has paid off. See, mom, it DOES help to whine and complain about things! Still a tiny bit rough around the edges (when I visited their credit card machine was out of service and when I'd called in they were out of one of the ingredients to their signature sandwich) I found the food to be nevertheless delicious. The banh mi was perfect, tearing a hole in the roof of my mouth with the crisp razor edged crackle of great french bread! Just like I like. No really...the bread was great, but I just can't eat banh mi without tearing a hole in the roof of my mouth, so...this met expectations. Spring rolls were fresh and flavorful. A subsequent trip back was on par with the first with the two exceptions that the credit card machine was up and running and nothing was off the menu. A new lunch regular for me. read more

Everything is made authentic and price and portion is on point. The banh mi is better than at some of the establishments that focus on it. My 10 year old has been dying to try Pho ever since we saw some on an episode of Worth it. So when we came to the Greater Pittsburgh area we knew we had to look for a Vietnamese restaurant. We chose this place because it was on the way to our hotel and had some great reviews on the authenticity of the cuisine. We were not disappointed everything we got was delicious and super fresh. This is a restaurant for the food not the atmosphere which is "take out/cafeteria" style seating. I was totally surprised by how good the Saigon Spring Rolls were. Went there for a late lunch. The place was pretty empty. The person taking the order was friendly. The bubble tea was good. The fresh spring roll could have been better. It was not crispy as the fresh spring roll should be. That made me think maybe the vegetables might not be that fresh. But it sure gives you your protein for the day in the form of tofu. Awesome surprise this place is! Small little set-up in tiny commercial plaza. This store front has seen many businesses in the past couple years...it's been a rotating selection of food services. We have tried some of them that popped up in the past and were not exactly wowed. The decor is very minimal, which may scare some people away, but if I was opening a shop in this little store front, I would probably take the same route as them seeing how frequently it changes hands. This new place blew us away!!!! The Banh Mi sandwiches are insanely good and so are the noodle bowls. I had the noodle bowl with chicken and was unable to finish it as it was sooooo huge! Ingredients that are so fresh you can taste it! Logged on to leave a review and saw that they were unfortunately closed today...my other half is craving that Banh Mi sandwich with pork! Wow. This place blew my mind. I ordered on Grubhub and was very pleased. This was my first time trying so I got a lot of items. First, the spicy yellowtail sushi roll and spring rolls were both pretty average. Sushi was pretty bland but good with wasabi and additional sauce. Spring rolls, in my opinion, had too much vermicelli. They were big, but 75% noodle. Next were the fried dumplings, absolutely delicious. Exactly how I like them gyoza style, crunchy and tons of filling. Now for the heavy hitters. The Bahn Mi and Pho. Holy moly. Not only was this the best Bahn Mi I've ever had, it's one of the best sandwiches I've had period. Fresh ingredients, perfect crusty bread, just an amazing sandwich. I'll explain my ratings below based on my expectations of an Express place. *Decor: 4.5/5* The place is clean. It's well colored to a pinkish theme. There's pictures of the various foods all over. Nothing really over the top in terms of design, but just simply pleasant to eat in. *Music: 5/5* They play Vietnamese music which isn't really all that barring. The volume is set at a light tone that isn't distracting to the person eating, but also enough for me to appreciate as a Vietnamese American. *Food presentation: 5/5* Everything is in a to-go container, even if you're dining in. I like the container that my food came in personally. Pretty much what I would expect from Express. *Flavor: 5/5* My coworkers and I all agreed that the food was great. The tapioca pearls weren't warm enough as well. *Che Thai: 3.75/5* If you need to feed your Che addiction or just have been craving it, I would get it from here. Though it is for the hefty price of $6 a cup. They add tons of ingredients to the drink which keeps it interesting. Would I come back again? Most definitely. I have a lot of things to try and to rate now that there's a Vietnamese place near me. Overall, I like the portion sizes per the price. The drinks and dessert are a little less desirable, but that's not really necessary in a meal anyhow. Final thoughts: This is a perfect place to add to a list of lunch locations to go to in the area. I've been waiting for some good Pho around Moon/Robinson for years and I finally found one. The broth was rich and dark and awesome. The sides were fresh and we got a ton of basil. We also got the pork patty noodle bowl which was excellent. It's cold on purpose which some people won't like but I do - like a cold noodle salad. The spring rolls were great too. Next trip I need to try Bahn Mi... I saw the rolls in the case but already had too much food.
