The food here was good! Came here on a Sunday lunchtime with friends. The waitress was smiling and very friendly with us and brought our food out on time. The place is nice and spacious and of course has ample parking due to a its location. Spicy level is definitely high. I would stick to a 3 or lower on the spice level if you're not a spicy eater

I gave this spot a try for lunch today. I was not disappointed! The staff is friendly and professional. A parking lot is conveniently located right across from the entrance to the restaurant. The restaurant is clean and there is good spacing between tables and booths. I ordered the Thai dumplings as my app with the Thai Foon Special fried rice (no heat), I don't do spicy food very well. And a Thai Iced tea with tapioca balls. Everything was delicious! This is going to be my go to dish, all of the protein add ins were cooked perfectly. Cash/Credit/Debit are accepted here.

Delicious Thai restaurant. It is fairly priced and gives you large portions which I appreciate. Restaurant has a lot of seating. It is located next to the movie theater is Settlers Ridge. Warning: if there is a red chili pepper next to an item on menu, that means it is spicy/hot - VERY HOT. I ordered the Indonesian fried rice and thought I could handle the spiciness... it was the hottest thing I ever ate. I couldn't take more than one bit. Our waitress was kind enough to let me switch it out for something else.

I love Thai Foon! I ordered a take out dinner tonight, for 7 pm. I arrived at 6:58, it was just out and steaming hot, ready to go - great service! My 15 minute drive home, didn't even phase it - when I opened it up, still hot! It was just what I was craving! I ordered the Dinner Item - Thai Chili Pepper, with shrimp, fried rice and spicy level 3! I like spice and 3 was spicy to me! The portion was enough for 2 meals!

Amazing food, service, and ambiance. Also great prices!!!! Owner is terrific and she greeted us! Fast service!! We got Pad thai combo (chicken, steak, shrimp) and the red green curry (shrimp and tofu). 10/10

Delicious as always! We loved the chicken lettuce cups, Tom kha soup, and crab Rangoon. Service was great too. I stop here every time I am in town!

Pad Thai & Tom Kha Soup

I ordered Tom Kha Soup. Soup was flavorful and well balanced. It comes with noodle crisps. There is tofu and veg in the soup. Good coconut taste and well suited for my taste. I also got a Tofu Pad Thai. Again good flavor and balance. The egg is cooked in the traditional way - it coats the noodles and vegetables. There is a generous amount of peanut which is a plus for me. I recommended these two items and this place in general. Service and vibe was also excellent. I'll be back here for sure.

Service 7/10 - prompt, no frills or pleasantries for sure tho Atmosphere 6/10 ... clean and everything but the atmosphere is a little stuffy Food is meh for the prices... will probably satiate a craving but isn't anything special. I probably won't be returning but overall wasn't a terrible experience!

Thai Foon is amazing. Great Thai food and great / fast service. Chicken pad Thai is incredible, perfect amount of flavor. Highly recommend stopping by!

The water at Thai Foon tastes like actual swimming pool water. They seem to have a very serious filtering or contamination problem. The servers were dressed exceedingly unprofessionally. The atmosphere - it's smelly of toilet cleaner/mop water and the server's perfume; the hip-hop music is way too loud. The food at Thai Foon is a mystery - no spice or flavor; they hardly give you any noodles in a noodle dish; instead they add random super finely julienned, tasteless vegetables that weren't listed on the menu as in the dish.

Ask the Community - Thai Foon

Does the pho come traditional style, where I can put my own ingredients in or does it come out as is?

It comes out as is. My husband is not always a fan of jalapeños so sometimes he asks for none or less and they add accommodating.

Are they open for carry out or delivery during the virus?

I don't think so. I definitely saw a notice on their door that they are completely closed, a few weeks back. I have tried calling them , but no answer. They don't seem to be listed on Uber Eats, DoorDash etc.

We didn't see much of the inside because we chose the option to enjoy our meal outside in the garden. Fortunately, we were able to snag a 5:30 PM reservation a couple Fridays ago. My friend set up notification alerts on Resy and a different party canceled their reservation the day before. This restaurant is very popular. KHAO YUM - 24 This is a 17 ingredient salad with tamarind dressing. I'm not usually a salad person, but this one was incredibly delicious and refreshing. Lots of crispy textures from the various vegetables, some juicy, tart and bitter pieces of grapefruit, and the crispy rice was the perfect fried carb on top. A bit pricy, but a great app to share for the whole table. CRISPY SHRIMP - 32 We were each able to get two pieces of shrimp among the four of us. The shrimp was batter and fried with a sweet garlicky glaze. While it was crispy and juicy, I thought it was a bit too saucy. It wasn't my favorite, but one of my friends really enjoyed the shrimp -- sauce and all. KHAO SOI - 48 The red and yellow curry was flavorful, and the egg noodles were perfectly soft with a bit of chew. The wagyu beef cheek was tender, but there wasn't much in it. Overall, I thought this was a bit too overpriced for what it was. MASSAMAN CURRY - 48 Incredibly phenomenal The massaman curry was incredibly rich with its sweet and savory flavor. Each order came with a whole lamb shank. The meat was incredibly tender and flavorful -- it fell off the bone with ease. I highly recommend this entree for its delicious curry and lamb. Overall, pricy food with a elegant aesthetic. It's also more of fusion Thai food than it is authentic. Can definitely see why this is one of the more popular and well-loved restaurants in Pittsburgh!

We had a horrible culinary experience the past couple of days driving through West Virginia, Ohio, and western New York. Pittsburgh was our last stop before heading home and Kiin Lao and Thai Eatery made up for all of the culinary disappointment this weekend. Let's talk about the ambiance first. Everything about this restaurant was quite beautiful. When I say beautiful, I don't mean it in an elegant way, but an artsy street vibe way. It is hip, clean, and we'll put together. You can tell a lot of love went into the decorations and into every piece of art on its walls. The service was pretty good. The server herself was attentive when needed and left us alone when needed. The food was AWESOME. We got the papaya combo with the Thum Mak Houng option, curry puffs, grilled pork shoulder with sticky rice, and Pad Gra Prow Street Style. The papaya was "lao-style" made with fermented shrimp paste. If you love deep umami flavors, this is it for you. The papaya salad was pungent and sour and savory spicy and just so satisfying. We asked for a 6/10 spiciness and they came with the heat. The chicken skewers that came with it was flavorful too. A little bit of char on the chicken would've brought it over the top. The curry puffs were so comforting and had that south Asian flavor profile that was very welcomed. The curry and spice blend did not overwhelm the potatoes. Instead it enhanced the earthy potato flavors in the best way possible. The menu said that it came with a cucumber sauce but I don't think we got that. What we got was a more like a honey sauce. The sauce was good in itself but didn't pair well with the puffs. The grilled pork shoulder was delectable. The meat was tender and it was seasoned perfectly. Again, more char on the meat would've brought it to a new level. The only gripe I have with this order was the sticky rice. The amount of sticky rice you get with it was so small I thought it was a joke initially. Nope, it was not! I thought the Pad Gra Prow Street Style was OKAY. I would've made it a little saucier. Despite this, my significant other absolutely LOVED it. Pad Gra Prow was my significant other's favorite dish when she lived overseas. She said that this was the best Pad Gra Prow she has had on this side of the world. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. We would definitely come by again when we are back this way.
