I always get a great cut when I come see Tim! He has a charming salon and wonderful staff. I've been with Tim for several years and I've followed him from different locations so when he opened Hair By Saint Rose I knew there was no other option but to come see him here! He's very talented and great at what he does and works hard to give you the best cut, even giving different suggestions so that you walk out of the salon feeling happy and confident. My boyfriend has always trimmed his own hair but for his birthday this year he decided to get it professionally cut and since I've stuck with Tim for years he decided to go see him. Tim did an awesome job and gave him an amazing cut and he was so detailed and gave him advice on what was the best cut for his face shape. My boyfriend is very pleased with his new haircut! I highly recommend stylist Martin. I've been with him for many years and have followed him from his previous locations. My hair is quite difficult to work with and style(Asian), so finding somebody that can work with it and knows the best techniques to manage it can be tough. Martin as a stylist is extremely meticulous and will spend the time to ensure that every angle is perfection. Additionally, since I'm a customer that periodically likes to show him photos on my phone on a particular hairstyle I like and try to mimic, knowing what will and won't work is beneficial. I never write bad reviews online before but this time I felt like I had too. I got my hair done with Angie I showed her a picture of hair balayage, now the hair I got is nothing like the picture. I did want it a bit darker than light blonde, but the bayalage started way lower than the picture, and she only got very little highlights on the top to melt it down. In other words, it is very subtle, not what I wanted. There was no mirror in the room, so I couldn't see what she was doing. And the robe they give you to wear to protect your clothes did nothing the hair dye got the upper back of my shirt and it won't come out and I didn't even bother to complain about it that day because I didn't wanna sound rude. Yet I called the next day I was very friendly and asked them if I can add more highlights on the top and how much it will cost? the lady said 220$ and I already paid 308$ with tip the day before. So I told her to give me a couple of minutes to think about it. Cause that will add up to a lot of money, but then she called me back right away and said that they will take care of it and that I could come in tomorrow. I thought that was very nice of them, BUT when I drove from Katy to their salon in downtown, they did nothing. They treated me like a little girl. They talked about it before I came obviously and already made up their mind. They refused to add highlights on the top, saying it will damage my hair, but I got no damage in my upper hair not what so ever. They were pushing me to buy the products they sell in the salon way too much; they were super pushy. They talked about the products for a long time made me feel awkward, so I got them. Overall I HAD TO SPEND 390$ on my hair with them and not be satisfied at the end. If they were not going to change it, they could have told me on the phone instead of making me drive back and forth, wasting my gas and time.
