This place had good reviews and we were looking for something in this style, so we stopped by Sajj. Overall we really liked it and will definitely be coming back! I got a steak bowl with turmeric rice and all of the toppings. Everything was very flavorful, extremely fresh, and you get a ton of food for the price. I love how many veggies you can get included in the meal. The staff was also SUPER friendly and helpful since it was our first time. Like I said I will definitely be coming back and I would recommend others go as well.

Mediterranean chipotle! Can't recommend this spot enough - portions are huge, chicken is juicy, food is tasty and affordable, unlimited toppings. And the best part is that you can walk away feeling like you've made a healthy choice. The servers are extremely friendly and kind as well and there is plenty of indoor seating. All meals come with complimentary lentil soup and all different kinds of tasty sauces! Love this place

I love SAJJ! I feel like you could never go wrong wit this place. I like how customizable the place is. Their toppings are delicious and I especially love the cauliflower and the eggplant sides. The portion is huge and the service is great. I could never finish an entire bowl for one meal and the bowl also comes with a soup. Their pita chips are crispy with just the right amount of salt!

Want to eat out and still feel healthy-ish? This is our local go-to-solution! Servers are polite and never balk at my request for an extra scoop of garbanzo beans or beets. Our gift cards make this place sooo affordable for a healthy quick bite!

The service here was absolutely wonderful! The waiter gave such large portions and was very attentive and nice. The environment was very clean and spacious to eat inside.! The food tasted all right though, I did really like the falafel and the pita chips!

I am a huge fan of CAVA and am constantly craving it between visits to SoCal, so have been wanting to try this spot for a while. There's a good amount of seating inside the restaurant, and you order at the counter to BYO bowl or wrap. I got the salad bowl with chicken shawarma- pretty generous portions of toppings and meat. I especially loved the eggplant and cauliflower hot toppings, and the lentil soup that comes complimentary with each meal! The garlic sauce and hummus added so much flavor to the bowl and the whole meal was so filling and refreshing. I do think it's fairly different to CAVA in terms of the food options, but similar in terms of the restaurant style. I enjoyed the meal and will definitely return to try more of their protein options!

Yummy and balanced! Had a filling meal. Portion is fair, no skimping on the chicken. Takeout order so no comment on any other aspect of the restaurant. Chicken Shawarma Rice Bowl - while they provide sauces, it's not to cover up any dryness. The chicken itself was not dry and there was fair flavor. This isn't to say it's the juiciest, but still tasty. The salad part helped a ton as the cucumber and tomato added water alongside texture.

I love coming here from time to time because of the Costco gift cards. It is basically like getting 20% off. I usually choose the couscous with chicken. Then I add mostly all ingredients. I might vary the combinations from time to time to alter the tastes. Sometimes we'll order fries and they are made fresh. So they are very hot and toasty! I like it here because usually the portions are usually pretty good. Sometimes you'll have some leftover for another snack the next day as well. You also get a cup of soup with the meal as well for the cold days. Although the soup isn't scalding hot though, it is good enough for me The staff is also very nice and accommodating. Therefore it is a no brainer to be a repeat customer. You got the 20% off from Costco, a lot a food and a great staff.

The customer service here was truly exceptional! Guadalupe and the gentleman at the front went above and beyond--better than any restaurant I've visited in years. The place is spotless, and the food never disappoints. Thank you, Guadalupe--you've earned a loyal customer in me!

Wow I am so surprised by how delicious and affordable this place is. The employees here were also super kind and friendly. It was all very clean as well. It was my first time ever at any SAJJ location. I got the chicken Shwarma with basically all the toppings! Everything was so delicious and they were extremely generous with each of the toppings and the meat. Then when I got to the cash register they let me know that a soup was also included with the meal! Seriously so amazing. The whole thing came out to less than $15 and it'll last me 2 meals. I've heard good things about this place and I can definitely see why. Also I love the green and red sauces that they have on the side, super fresh.

Dishdash is the only Middle Eastern restaurant I love as a fellow Palestinian…read more The dishes feel authentic to our cuisine and since I am still learning my way through our recipes, so this spot is my go to! Firstly, the fact that you get an unlimited supply of Pita and Zeit / Zaatar oil alone makes it feel like home. Very similarly, my Siti (grandma) always has us well fed right from the start, maybe over fed, but that's besides the point and very connected to our culture, you won't go hungry. But be careful not to fill up solely on bread, plus you can use your bread to soak up all the sauces later on. My absolute favorite dish is the Mansaf which is a creamy yogurt based lamb and rice dish. The meat comes out veryyy tender and when you mix it all together with the sauce and rice, it's rich and decadent. It's a large portion and can feed 2-3 as a main if other bites are shared. Bites I recommend- the Falafel, Kibbeh and Hummus as starters. The staff was very attentive and friendly, making sure we were rightfully fed, had drinks refilled constantly, we felt taken care of. They play lots of upbeat old school Arabic music that reminds me of my childhood. Check out Nancy Ajram if you haven't heard her music.

I decided to give it a try and was informed of the Gluten Free pita option. That clinched the purchase, and the taste guaranteed a return. The service was prompt and courteous. They took plates as we finished without being intrusive. They asked about food allergies and when I said dairy, gluten, and eggs they confirmed it was a sensitivity rather than an allergy. They helped me choose my take home hummus. Meyhouse Sunnyvale -- Excellent Food, but the Service Pacing Could Be Much Better…read more I tried the $44.95 three-course prix fixe lunch and chose the Köpoğlu as my meze, upgraded the main to the Adana Kebab for $3, and added the Künefe for $2. The food was the strongest part of the experience, and several things stood out more than I expected. The complimentary bread was excellent--warm, fragrant, and nicely textured. I also really enjoyed the green herb sauce served with it. The parsley and mint flavors were quite pronounced, almost grassy, but in a good way. It was fresh and aromatic and worked very well with the bread. The Köpoğlu was one of the highlights of the meal. The roasted eggplant, tomato sauce, garlic yogurt, and olive oil were very well balanced. I especially liked the garlic yogurt--the acidity, garlic, and creaminess were all present without any one element overpowering the others. The tomato added sweetness and acidity, while the olive oil rounded everything out. It was especially good with the bread. The Adana Kebab was also very good. My first bite came from the end of the skewer and was slightly dry, but once I got into the center, the meat was noticeably juicier. The char from the grill was excellent, and the lamb had a clear lamb flavor without being gamey. The chopped red pepper mixed into the meat also added another layer of aroma and flavor. Even the rice surprised me. It looked like plain white rice, but it was flavorful enough to eat on its own, with a noticeable buttery, almost milky aroma. The flatbread underneath the kebab was also very good after soaking up some of the lamb juices and fat. If I had one criticism of the main plate itself, it would be the proportion of onion-tomato salad to meat. The salad tasted fine, but for my preference, there was a little too much of it. I really enjoy the lingering flavor of grilled lamb, and while the rice and bread help carry that flavor, the raw onion and tomato act as a strong palate cleanser and erase it quickly. Since the meat portion was relatively small compared with the rice and salad, I would personally prefer a little more kebab and a little less salad. The Künefe was another highlight. I really enjoyed the contrast between the crispy kadayıf on the outside and the soft, warm cheese inside. The pistachios on top were not something I particularly enjoyed by themselves, but mixed together with the cheese, syrup, and crispy pastry, they made much more sense. The first few bites, especially the areas that had not absorbed too much syrup, were excellent. Toward the center it became a little sweeter than I prefer, but overall I still liked it very much. Food-wise, I would actually give Meyhouse a slight edge over Dishdash. There were more layers and more small details to notice throughout the meal, from the bread and herb sauce to the Köpoğlu, Adana, rice, flatbread, and dessert. The service, however, did not match the level of the food. The restaurant was quite quiet at lunch, but the pacing was surprisingly rushed. I had barely started eating the Köpoğlu when the main course arrived. For a menu specifically presented as a three-course prix fixe, I expected the courses to be paced more deliberately. Instead, I had to choose between continuing to enjoy the appetizer and eating the kebab while it was still hot. There was also an issue with clearing the table. One staff member who was not the person taking my order repeatedly tried to remove my bread and the green herb sauce. The first time, I specifically asked him to leave the sauce. Later, after I finished the main course, he came back and again started clearing both without asking. I told him I wanted the bread to go, so he left the bread, but still removed the herb sauce. It was a small detail, but it made the service feel mechanical rather than attentive to what the guest had already requested. Overall, I would rate the food around 8.5/10 and the service around 6.5-7/10. Meyhouse is a little more expensive than Dishdash, but the prix fixe lunch is also very substantial. I only ate about half of the complimentary bread, and I was already quite full after the main course. Finishing the Künefe left me completely stuffed, so the portion size is definitely generous. I would still come back. Next time, I would probably try the Ahtapot, especially since it is only a $9 upgrade on the prix fixe compared with $25 à la carte. The food gives me a reason to return; I just hope the pacing and attention to small service details are better next time.
