The rolls are HUGE and the fish is fresh. And the prices are great. Can't beat any of that. * The House Special Roll is great if you don't want all of the rice. It's a soy paper wrap filled with snow crab, yellowtail, tuna & salmon! It's Really BIG & the special sauce on the side is great. You can really eat the roll without the sauce. * The Rainbow Roll is your typical rainbow roll...but bigger. Nice thick cuts of salmon, yellowtail & tuna on top. With a little avocado as well. Perfect! * The Mid City Roll is another favorite. Salmon & Snowcrab in a miki sushi roll. * Everything here is delicious!!! I've been wanting to try this place and I'm glad I did. The menu is great. The abundance of specialty rolls is amazing. There was stuff on the menu I hadn't seen anywhere else. The food was amazing. The fish was fresh and flavorful. The mixed mushroom soup was great. It had just the right amount of sesame oil to bring out the earthy flavor of the mushrooms. The building was clean and stylish. The one complaint I had was the lack of servers. There was one server there at 6:00 in the evening. Luckily there were only 3 other tables. That still put our service pretty slow. A few times the sushi chef came from behind the sushi bar to help clear tables, give refills, and boxes. This is my first time going so I'm not sure if it is the norm. The server was very nice though and never stopped trying to serve. I will be back for another visit. read more

I have had better hibachi. Here, every part of the hibachi is over-seasoned with the same flavors, so when you eat every part of your meal it all tastes the same but with different textures. I do however enjoy their sushi, but will stick with the other sushi places in the area for now. read more

This is my favorite sushi place because of the service and the food. I love the large rolls (that aren't just fish mash ups) with large cuts that always taste fresh. I love yellow tail, salmon and white tuna and I can always get my fill. This is MY FAVORITE OF ALL TIME. Anywhere else you go, you're going to get small rolls with hard rice and chewy fish. The rice is soft and pliable an flavorful in just the right (not overpowering, but plays its part). The fish is tender when it's supposed to be and textured when appropriate. The portions are huge!! And the prices more than reasonable. I ordered a roll with mango that night and it did not disappoint. The spicy tuna was very spicy which I hadn't had it that spicy since living in this area as the other two places we order from aren't this hot; I'm not complaining by any means as it was so good. The shrimp tempura was perfect and I asked to top it with tuna, which they did and it was so pretty and fresh. Our son got the LSU and the Osaka and was very pleased as well. read more

The food is great, but the place is absolutely disgusting and everytime id go in, there'd be burnt rice and dust from 10 meals before it looked like. They should start refrigerating their yum yum sauce because it has dairy in it and it makes me sick when i would eat it. We have been here 2x already. Both visits have been excellent as far as the food quality goes. Service can use alittle help. On both occasions, the initial greet and drink order took longer than it should. Our appetizer came out the same time as our meal. Ordered tea that my boyfriend and I both thought tasted old and sour so we asked for water instead, so our server decided to loud cap us to the other table "oh well THEY said their tea tastes bad. Yours is from the same batch so I don't see why they are saying they don't like it when you say yours tastes just fine!" In my opinion would have been better left unsaid. Previous time, same server told us that we eat too quickly and should slow down next time. So glad this place opened up in Destrehan! I love it, the environment and the servers are awesome. The food is always amazing, the prices are pretty high for certain meals though. But the food they give you is more than enough to share, I always share with either my boyfriend or friends and we get the filet minon and shrimp with hibachi rice and it's about 20 dollars (without the tip and drinks included). But it's a fun environment and the cooks keep you laughing. I think it's pretty great and It's fun watching them cook in front of you. I love going here! read more
