    Salmon Hibachi
    NaPorshe R.

Tahrique, My server was great for starters. Very attentive and friendly. He was also knowledgeable about the menu items. They do have a happy hour menu, Monday & Tuesday 3pm-close Wednesday - Sunday 3pm - close. The happy hour menu includes appetizers, many sushi dishes and definitely a lot of alcoholic beverages. I ordered the hibachi salmon, 2 shrimp, soup and salad included. The salmon, zucchini and rice were all cooked perfectly. The broccoli however was way too hard for my liking. Next time I would ask for it to be well done because I've never had hibachi style cooked broccoli that was that hard before ever. But other than that, everything was a 10/10. The do play music inside, it's not too loud. I would definitely return here to try more menu items in the future.

Stopped in here around 8:30 for dinner with my partner and her parents. We all went to the hibachi side. The restaurant is divided into regular seating, then hibachi seating. You just let the hostess know where you would like to go. I ordered the House Delight which comes with teriyaki chicken and then shrimp. You also receive fried rice and vegetables on your plate. The chef was very entertaining and interactive with our table. You can definitely tell which chefs enjoy putting on a show and the ones that are just there to work. My food overall was good but nothing too great. The soup and salad are good. The salad comes with what I believe is a mustard based dressing and it's just lettuce and maybe a cherry tomato or two. The onion soup is pretty run of the mill. The shrimp was my favorite part of the meal, the butter they use to season the food is the same across the board so everything sort of blends into one another. The chicken was a hair overdone to my liking and led to it being a bit dry. The vegetables were pretty good, mainly attributed to the seasoned butter. All in all, it's a good spot to bring the family on occasion, but definitely not a high repeat value for me.

    Calamari product

I've been going here for over 10 years used to be my go to spot but the food quality has gone down EXPONENTIALLY. Most recently we ordered calamari and were given some sort of squid stick product. Sad to see. We won't be back

New York Strip with mixed veggies and fried rice. Yummy!!

I placed an order online for New York Strip not realizing it comes with shrimp. I am highly allergic so I called and they said to bring it back and speak to the manager. Everyone was kind and very understanding. They replaced my steak with no issues at all. This was my first visit to this restaurant and I will definitely be back. The steak is so tender and the fried rice is honestly the best I have ever eaten anywhere! Wow! So impressed with the customer service and food! Thank you guys for a wonderful meal! I'll be back to dine in soon!

Me my husband and friend decided to get some food at this location. I am a vegetarian so I am also looking out for veggie options. I wanted to get some sushi so they had edamame, cucumber roll, asparagus roll. I ordered garlic edamame which was good. Wish there was some spice but that's just my preference. When I ordered the asparagus roll I didn't realize I was getting only rice and asparagus lol but then again that's on me not knowing sushi well. The waiter wasn't great. I could tell all the staff were young maybe high schoolers. The food took a very long time. My husband and friend both ordered drinks and sushi but took so long to receive and the waiter kept forgetting our drinks. The waiter brought my friends Diet Coke when we were about to get the check after the meal was over and kept apologizing for his mistakes. The sushi- I kind of want to go back and see if they can make a custom roll something w cucumber asparagus cream cheese, etc but have no idea if they do customize orders. I also got a mango mojito and i really liked it. So overall if the service was better I'd.probably give it a higher rating but again I'm sure the normal sushi taste

Happy to say Sakura still has happy hour and the prices are about the same, just the rolls are smaller and a whole piece can be popped into the mouth comfortably. Service was attentive and friendly. Seating is available at bar, booths, tables, or the hibachi rooms. Overall ambiance is ok but what detracts me are the food stains on the closed window blinds and the dust on the hanging lamps. I had never noticed that in my previous visits but then again those were more than 5 years ago.

It's giving gas station, grocery store sushi. The grade of fish wasn't very high. I ordered from the happy Hour menu, and was not impressed. Don't get me wrong, the prices were good. However, my cocktail tasted straight like juice. I came close to 7pm, so it was pretty packed inside. But the restaurant had a weird smell, kind of like pee. I also hate that I had to ask if I was gonna be helped by a waitress. BUT when my waitress came, she was friendly. I will most likely not be returning here again. The best thing that I had was a Kirin Light (bottled beer).

Seated right away and server Destiny was very pleasant, accommodating, and very patient. Made my experience more fun. Just ordered Dragon Roll and the Sushi Appetizer...delicious and good portion. The ambience is cozy and good music selection.

    Fly fried on my gyoza

Had dinner here after work, ordered a bento box "A" and a fly was cooked in my food!!! It was hidden under one of my gyoza's..Do not eat here!! Fair warning.

Shrimp & chicken teriyaki & grilled salmon

My sister recommended this place to me & I always recommend this place too. I come every now and then when I want hibachi or just a good meal & always have a great experience. It's super fast & efficient. Can get pretty packed on weekends but they are very friendly , Food is always seasoned well & the price is very reasonable for the portions that they give.

They worked as a smooth team incase the one who was helping you was busy and you needed something sorted. I would give 10 if it was possible. Food on the other hand, for a vegetarian- only the Karma bowl for an entree. Its like you choose your grains, ur veges, and sauce and they will put it all together over heat and give you. Mine was ok and I probably could have added a lot of veges as my bowl was only 1/2 full. It is one price for one bowl, irrespective of how much of what you add. Taste wise, it was ok as I had no idea how much of sauce would go into it or the spice level. The second order was vegetable roll. We asked for a little customized version of excluding mushrooms. They brought it with 'kanpyo' instead and forgot the carrots First of all kanpyo looks like mushroom and didn't have the faintest idea that they were very different things , secondly carrots were no where to be seen. When called to enquire, they apologized and took back the order without a minute's hesitation and made a fresh batch made with no mushroom no kanpyo and carrots included. Appreciated that very much. Food wise summery, the bowl or the roll. I definitely preferred the roll and when soaked in sriracha, it exploded in my mouth with flavors. The first one just fell into sriracha by mistake and got drenched, after I tasted that I drowned the next ones in myself...... The place is maintained spotless and the bar was filled to capacity at 5 pm. They do have TV with closed captions . Very limited vegetarian options but you won't go hungry.

We arrived just in time for breakfast (last Saturday) I ordered Bangsilog, while my cousin had the Tocilog. Service was fast as usual. I really enjoyed my Bangsilog--the bangus tasted fresh, perfectly fried, crispy on the outside while still tender and juicy inside. Unfortunately, my cousin's tocino was disappointing. The tocino was tough and tasted like it may have been leftover from previous day and simply reheated. Either that or it has been sitting in the kitchen for quite awhile. We still finished our meals. Because we were starving, but it definitely affected the experience. It also made us miss Hazel's customer service even more because if she had been there, we're pretty sure she would've handled the situation right away. I waited a while before writing this review because I wanted to be as fair as possible. The lady who served us was still very good, although it was obvious that the overall customer service experience was not quite at the same level as when Hazel was around. The biggest issue was really the tocino. Because of that, this latest visit to TJ's wasn't perfect and honestly made us wonder if it's still worth making this one our go-to spot whenever we're in the Houston area.
