You have to take this place for what it is--express sushi. If you don't want to pay exorbitant prices when you're craving the sushi, but want a step up from your local grocery store sushi section; this meets expectations. Will say that they have not updated their prices from their online menu--so it was about $3-5 more overall than what I expected. I really recommend the Crunch Roll. Yum. Pros: Close to home. Reasonable prices. Sushi was pretty good. Some of the items were good sized portions. Cons: I I was told 45 minutes to pick up my order. Good thing I went early because the order was ready. Raw fish sitting there for a while before I picked up could be dangerous. Was missing a piece of Hamachi sashimi from my order (check before you leave). Hamachi sashimi slices were frozen solid. You could tell looking at it. Very odd you would serve frozen fish. read more

The sushi is fine, but don't order anything else unless you want microwaved dumplings and TEMPURA. Isn't tempura supposed to be crunchy and fresh? Not frozen then microwaved shrimp? Very low grade. I mean, decent sushi in Colorado at decent prices. I wasn't expecting much and actually enjoyed our rolls. Their most expensive roll is $9 - a large serving of miso soup is $1 (lacking chunks of tofu that other sushi joints offer, but darn good for a buck), and nigiri is $3 for 2 pieces. A steal, admittedly, and not excellent quality (the salmon and unagi were both good, pass on the tuna) but "Express" *is* in the name and it was $3. Verrrrry limited in roll offerings from a filling standpoint (tempura shrimp, crab, spicy tuna, and some combo of cucumber, avocado and cream cheese). We tried the Firecracker roll (my fave), Dynamite Roll and Rock & Roll. Overall, not bad. This will likely be a new regular stop for simple, fresh, affordable sushi. Very disappointed. We've been ordering takeout for two years. Everything was off tonight. The biggest disappointment was the poke bowl. Less than two pieces of sashimi diced up with lettuce and rice. Complete disappointment and a waste of money. Called the store to inform them and he argued with my wife. A little understanding and listening to your customers would be wise. This is seriously the best sushi I've found in the Denver Metro area. Now, don't judge the book by the cover. It's a hole in the wall place and there's not much in the way of decoration. The fish tank along one wall is badly in need of cleaning and has no fish that I can see. But, the sushi is good and is cost of the sushi is reasonable. I go there all the time. The sweetheart of a lady who works the register most of the time even knows my order now by heart. The King Philly Roll is amazing! The Philly Roll is great (although I get mine with regular salmon and not smoked). The nigiri is great and the fish is thickly cut and fresh. They do a great job. It's also a great place to get sushi to go, which is hard to find. Anyway, I just wanted to say that this place rocks. If you are in the Erie area on Highway 7, and you love sushi, you need to stop by. You won't be disappointed. read more

4 stars because they give you exactly what they promise. I'm not going to slam this business based on quality, because that really isn't the point. In all honesty, "express" doesn't necessarily scream quality. So, as a patron, I think we all should understand that we're going to be getting a "fast-food" version of sushi. The prices were fairly reasonable. The good thing is that prices were lower than that of an actual sit own restaurant. I was actually surprised by how expansive the menu was. Most express sushi joints that I've visited had a very small menu with few items like spicy tuna or California rolls. I ordered two rolls and a few sashimi sets for about $25 (plus tip). Not to shabby. Bottom line, I think this is a great option for a quick and affordable fix. However, if you're looking for more of a restaurant feel and restaurant quality, I would try elsewhere. read more

This is a great find! The rolls here are great. And the prices are super reasonable. Unlike some other places I've tried, a cheaper California Roll here is still generous in size (and you get 9 pieces!). I've tried various rolls here, and they have all been very good. This place reminds me of the various cheaper places I've eaten at in the Pacific Northwest (minus the conveyor belts). :-) Great quality at a great price. I've only done takeout here. I do look forward to trying the ramen someday (they only offer that for in-dining, because the noodles will be mushy by the time you get home with them for takeout). Well worth trying. read more

The food here is average and the pricing is slightly high for the sushi. There is a lot of fake crab (krab) on the menu that my wife doesn't want to order from here very often. Sometime the order pick up is vary fast but other times it's been over an hour. The real reason I am giving it only 2 stars is my interactions with the staff there. I was there waiting to pick up my food and another customer came in. This gentlemen was clearly a regular and the staff knew him. But while he was there they totally ignored me. The person placed his order right then and somehow got his order made before my call-in order that happened 30+ min prior. Then the staff said to this customer about how they gave him a couple of free rolls and other upgrades. When he left it was back to normal business, they were nice and I got my order 2 mins after he left. I am all for treating regular customers with extra attention. But to ignore another customer (who had been waiting a long time) is just rude and not good business. read more

First of all, service was terrible. They seemed bothered that we were in there. The establishment was not cleans and there was very limited seating, not that there was anyone there. We saw them putting eel and shrimp tempura into a toaster oven which was a bit alarming. Although, sushi did not taste horrible, the sushi had a grocery store quality to it. As soon as we walked in the two people working there were laughing in the back and as soon as they saw us they immediately had angered looks on their face as if we were bothering them. Went here for 1st time the other night and will never go back! We spent $50, about as much as we would spend at any other sushi place. After 2 pieces from each roll we had, we put everything in the trash. Even though each roll had different ingredients and different fish,hey all tasted exactly the same, which was tasteless. Sushi was pretty inexpensive and service for pick up was fast. This is a fairly new sushi place and my family wanted to try it. My husband and I shared the Cajun and dynamite roll, which was pretty good. The prices for those special rolls were cheaper than other places, which makes it worth the drive up here. read more

I really love this place. Some of my favorite rolls are the mango and the Sakura(spicy but yummy). The cost for the flavor is spot on. The Nigri is good usually get yellowtail and tuna and NEVER fishy! This is right across the street and I'm happy it is for a quick sushi fix that is tasty! read more

This place is great for takeout sushi, hence "express". They always provide quick service and have a good selection of sushi rolls. Their miso soup is also a great add on for any order. Only downside is many of the sushi rolls that say crab are filled with crab salad making for a pretty hearty sushi roll. read more

I would say the sushi was standard enough and seemed fresh but I did feel like I was inconveniencing/bothering the people who work there just by ordering. I ordered a sushi roll with escolar on it (a fish I hadn't heard of). I'm really glad I googled the fish before eating it because apparently it is considered the "x-lax" fish and can cause some bad GI symptoms. I ate everything but this fish (took it off my sushi) and the sushi was pretty decent but given the frosty customer service and weird fish that may give you GI issues, I don't think I'll be back. read more

The spicy California roll was slathered in a thick spicy mayo paste, the likes of which I've never seen before.
