Favorite go to neighborhood Thai spot. Good variety of menu items. I usually get the garlic BBQ Chicken. Good taste, portion size, fresh, and consistent. Sometimes the portion sizes are smaller than others. We have had the yellow curry, spicy tilapia and the sala pot stickers. All very good. We usually order take out which is pretty much always ready to pick up within 20 minutes. Pricing is about right for good restaurant food. Recommend trying. *Downside is the limited parking in that strip mall. read more

Great local Thai restaurant in an unsuspecting location. The service is always great and we have never had a complaint about the food. I am not very adventurous so I always get either the peanut pad Thai or the Panang curry. They are consistently delicious. My husband has tried several different dishes on the menu with a similar positive experience. We also enjoy the Chang beer. If you order two, the third is free. read more

This is a small neighborhood restaurant just outside of the Hilltop Mall in Richmond. We came here for a late lunch. Consequently, there's no wait and we had very quick and attentive service. My companion and I shared Spice Basil Leave with Chicken and Pumpkin Curry with brown rice. Both dishes were very reasonably priced, and delicious and flavorful. Couple weeks ago , we ordered our food for pick prior to 5 mins closing time but still they took our order and we were sitting in our car waiting for the food. food is definitely one of the better finds for the area, deserving of another star but the service is lacking. for our first to-go order, we were quoted 30-45 min and waited a total of more than an hour. meanwhile we overheard a door dash driver arrive and the restaurant didnt have the order. for our first door dash order, the restaurant didnt turn the tablet on and our driver had to place our order manually, delaying delivery by more than 30 min. tom yum soup is satisfyingly sour and on the spicier side than most tom yum soups. yellow curry and pra ram sauces are rich in flavor. rothi and pad see ew as expected. mango sticky rice dessert a must! papaya salad tasted like 7up (we tasted all sweet, no fish sauce, and felt carbonation!), and the pad thai was more fishy than anything. read more

This place is one of the closest Thai place in my area and I frequently order take out from here. There's a new owner and he is super nice. He gave me a free Thai iced tea one time. Ate here for dinner the other day and they were busy but it was fine because we were able to get seats. I think they are trying to hire more help so sometimes service can be slow because they don't have enough people working. The food is consistently good. I like to order the spicy bamboo beef from here. I've tried other dishes and they were all very good. Would definitely come back for more. read more

One of my favorite Thai restaurants in Richmond. Their fried rice is delicious and the Sala Pot Stickers were really really good too. My roommates favorite is the cashew nut. I especially like that they deliver. Not everyday or at all times but if you catch them around dinner time they usually will. My next item to try is going to be the angel wings. I've always seen this place because it's close to where I live but I've never tried it. WHENEVER I get Thai food, I always always ALWAYS only get PANANG CURRY. If their Panang Curry is good then I'll always give that place a good review. And I must say, I think I have found my go-to Panang Curry spot! I absolutely love their Panang Curry. It was perfectly spiced and creamy. And they put mushrooms! I asked if they can substitute the carrots for extra mushroom and bell peppers and they did! It was so perfect. Also, the service was outstanding. They were really kind on the phone and they were honest about my food taking a while for take-out because it was busy so I respected that. I mean, I have tried other Panang Curry in other thai restaurants but I did really enjoy my meal here! And it was the cheapest I have found everywhere! Not even $10 for my meal with rice. In other places, this would easily already be $11-$13. Overall, food was amazing, service was good and price was extra good. Nearly everything we have tried thus far at Tiparos has been outstanding. When you consider the low price it's really amazing and hard not to go here all the time. Two of us can often split a $7 noodle entrée and be quite full. Favorites so far are the Pad Thai (chicken), Pad See Ew (beef), Thai dumplings, pot stickers, and fresh tofu rolls. For all appetizers that come with dipping sauce I highly recommend you get extra as it's delicious but not nearly enough is included by default. The Rad Na was the only disappointment so far, served basically as a soup with mild flavor; was hoping for a thicker and richer gravy style. The restaurant is well decorated inside, especially given the location. Staff is extremely friendly, and take-out service is consistently great. read more

My boyfriend and I used to absolutely love this place until they became under new management. We would order thai once a week, usually on our "cheat day" and this was our go to place due to the affordable prices, portions, and flavors. I, personally, LOVE spicy food. Spicier, the better. And just to give you an idea of my spice level tolerance, I put habaneros on everything. But that is a big issue with this place. When I have requested for my food to be spicy, they inform me that their spicy is "really spicy." At first, I was like "okay, sounds great!" (Only because I have a high tolerance and what most people find spicy, I find just under mild). I could barely even finish my food it was so spicy. It took the flavor right out of it and I was extremely disappointed. So the next time around, we requested it to be "not spicy" since they only offer two options as far as spice level goes. When we got it home, it was just that. Not spicy at all. Again, disappointed. The third time we ordered, I had requested it to be somewhere in the middle between spicy and not, and they informed me they couldn't do that. I'm sorry, I've worked in a restaurant for years and it's not that hard to put LESS spice/peppers on something. It's almost as if they dump an entire container on something if you want it spicy. Another issue we have had with this place is the curry. We ordered the yellow chicken curry and both times after they went under new management, it was extremely runny.. Almost like soup. They said they kept the old recipes but I beg to differ. My boyfriend also went inside to pick up our order and stood in front of the host stand for 7 minutes before the hostess acknowledged that there was someone there and instead of helping him, she helped the person behind him. Then she went to a table and proceeded to flirt with the guests. After awhile she came back and asked him what he needed. She said she was going to check on his food and when she came back, she didn't say anything to him. Finally, he had to stand in the middle of the restaurant to get someone else's attention. Bit expensive but solid food is the take away. I find this a great spot to pick up my lunch. It has a good size menu with all the basic dishes and some extra seasonal things. I found the curreis good but the noodle dishes are a bit greasy for me. If you call in your order it only takes 5 - 10 min and comes with the starter salad they serve if you eat in. I absolutely love this place. It used to be called Sala Thai with original owners. But was bought a few years ago by the new owners who are absolutely incredible. The best thing about the new owners is they never changed the menu from when the previous owners had the place and they are incredibly nice people. The food still had the same taste and quality like it did with the original owners. I've referred this place too many of my friends and they love it. The customer service is great and the food is the best Thai food I've ever had. I recommend the thai pot stickers, The drunken noodles and the pad Thai. So full of flavor. Oh and their coconut curry soup is to die for over some white rice. They also deliver if your order is over $30! If you decide to dine in, the restaurant is absolutely beautiful. it's perfect for date night. read more

I love this place for several reasons: 1) It's close to my apartment. 2) Orders come out quickly. 3) Staff is friendly. 3) Their beef larb salad. So-freaking-good. Legit, everything I've ever tried from Tiparos has been delicious. The pumpkin curry is fabulous, as is their chicken satay (the accompanying peanut sauce is to die for). Minus one star ONLY because mango with sticky rice is on the menu, but hasn't been available for some time. Came in here last week as I was starved and felt like a great Pad Thai. While my food came I went in to wash my hands but no hand soap. How do the workers wash their hands? Uh-oh. Ordered take out when our New Year's Eve plans went awry. My daughter's local Thai restaurant was closed but she has had good food from here at work so we decided to give it a try. We ordered Tom Yum soup, Chicken Sate, Spicy basil leaves, Pineapple fried rice and a Thai iced tea. She told us 20 minutes and when we arrived it was waiting except the tea. We had to wait while she rang in another order and sat a table before she went to make the tea. It was a 10-minute​ drive home. The Tom​ Yum soup was delicious, hitting all the right flavors and filled with plenty of mushrooms, onions and chicken a bargain​ for $7.00. The Chicken Sates were missing the cucumber sauce but nothing could have saved their poisonous​ly salty flavor, we couldn't finish​ even one skewer between us. The Spicy basil leaves which we ordered with chicken were overcooked but had good flavor. The pineapple rice was a little on the greasy side but the flavors were good. I would definitely​ go back for the soup but not the Sate. read more

Disappointed! More than a few bad breaks. The parking, in this parking lot, is all "one hour parking". Difficult to enjoy dinner and conversation in one hour. The servers were underqualified. Four tables of two patrons each, had these two girls running around like chickens with their heads cut off. We ordered the Pad Thai and trout. We chose the mixed vegetable Pad Thai. It came quite oily with 4 pieces of broccoli; no beans sprouts, green onions, tofu, or Thai basil. The trout is listed as boneless, it is not; but the presentation was beautiful. The bamboo really needs a good cleaning and the Christmas decorations could come down. read more

What happened?!? I went here last night and was hugely disappointed; this was one of my favorite Thai restaurants. For starters, service was almost non-existent. We ordered the papaya salad at least 10 minutes before our main meal for the sole reason of getting our salad first. Of course, our main meal arrived before the salad and we were told the salad was coming. We cancelled it. The Pad Prik King is my go to dish; I get it virtually every time I come here. While it was good, it was no longer great. Also, the portion size was noticeably smaller. We also ordered the pad Thai, which was disappointing - didn't have much flavor. When we ordered our dinner, we also ordered the sticky mango rice dessert. But . . . we got the check while we were still eating. My dining companion and I looked at each other and said "I guess we're not getting dessert." The server then asked if we wanted anything else, to which we responded we'd like what we ordered. A short time later, we got our mango sticky rice, which as with everything else, was a much smaller portion. Also, the presentation was sloppy; looked thrown on the plate. Service was HORRENDOUS, food was OK, not great. Really disappointed; not sure I'll go back. Ever. If the restaurant keeps going in this direction, I don't imagine it'll survive for very long. read more

Sala pot stickers are amazing! My husband loves the chicken pad prik king over rice and I love the spicy chicken soup.

Friendly service. Everything tastes great. The trout was a bit over-fried. Appetizers tastes so good, could make a meal.
