FOR CELIACS I had hoped to eat here without getting sick. I've tried it on a few occaisions and I get sick. It's either got to be the salad dressing, which they claim is gluten-free, the chicken, which they claim is gluten free, or the cross contamination at the end of the line - which is the bread station. I can't communicate effectively with the staff using English, so I've been unable to ask for any special care or to drill-down a little on how truly gluten-free their ingredients are. Sadly, this place will have to go off my list. Apart from getting sick. You know, the salads are decent, the dressings are tasty and the staff is a bit unfriendly. I love this place. Whenever I'm near one, it is guaranteed that I'll stop by and grab a salad. Just like today, I stopped in on the way home, actually ate my salad there and enjoyed not being rushed. Besides a family of four at another table, I was the only other person there. Now the crappy part was the fact that the women that work there stayed out front talking to each other very loudly. Today, this location lost a customer. I generally frequent a different location a few times a week but today I decided to stop in at the Shops at Legacy. After waiting for 20 minutes in line during the lunch hour, I asked for a small salad with spinach and kale. The server gave me a pinch of kale and a bowl of wet and soggy spinach. I asked the server to please Break the spinach into smaller pieces, she responded with "I don't have time, the line is long." Next, I asked for more kale and the next server responded with "we're out of kale." Poor service and product. NOT A GOOD COMBINATION. read more

The salads are great!!! The staff behind the salad bar is very professional and fast! The only negative thing about this place is that it seems to be a pick up place for the guys who work there. Even the "owner"/"manager" hits on his customers (female of course) and that is for sure very unprofessional! So don't be surprised if you will be asked out while you pay for your salad. This place WOULD be great, except for the fact that "unlimited veggies" equals the tiniest amount you've ever seen. I swear when you ask for chickpeas they pick up 4 individual little beans. When you ask for more, the employees seem very annoyed and give you another 3 beans. They also give you a very skimpy amount of dressing and charge you if you want extra. I live at the shops at legacy so I do come to this particular location about once a week. I like the fact that the display tells you how many calories are in each portion so you have more control over the calories in your salad. I frequent this location because it's a close, fast, and healthy option. The vegetables are relatively fresh, but they could use improvement. The reason I'm giving them 2 stars, and the reason I don't come here everyday for dinner is because this location is absolutely horrible for giving stingy portions. For each topping that you request, they grab some and then dump about 50% of what they have grabbed back into the tub. If you ask for corn, you'll get 5 kernels. If you ask for dressing, you'll get about 2 tablespoons. If you ask for more, you'll pay about $2 extra for the same kind of tiny portion. It's so bad, that I believe their staff trainings must resemble some sort of military type training where they strike fear in their hearts against serving normal portions. If you are patient enough to deal with this, and you don't mind that the salad isn't the freshest, then it can be an ok choice. read more

Went to a new location in Addison, on Beltline. It was OK. Staff was great, they were extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Restaurant was very clean. I got a Spinach salad with pesto chicken, and their house dressing. It was delicious! You get ALOT of salad for the money, I had to get a to-go box because I simply couldn't finish the whole salad! The reason why only 3 stars, is because, I guess it was the "manager" talked my ear off about her life, and the incompetent staff (not professional in my opinion). I have eaten at the Plano location about 8 times since moving in early January. This place is fantastic and I have not had any issues. Sure, sometimes, you do not receive the precise number of chick peas that you desire but, also, you are not limited to 8 ingredients as with Snappy Salads (another favorite). The staff seemed friendly enough. We need more of this type of restaurant in Dallas -- it is healthy food. I will continue going to the place and getting salad. I went to this location today and had a very negative customer service experience. My husband and I tried to use a Groupon but were refused at the register. The woman looked confused and advised that she could not accept it because they no longer have the scanner. She stated that my Groupon was over two years old but I reminded her that it was irrelevant since I was only using the amount that I paid ( not the original deal) which does not expire. I asked for the owner's contact information and she refused. I took a business card with the manager's information and realized it was her! I advised her that it was bad business not to accept my $10 Groupon when they have already received the money. She made no attempt to make it right and was totally unsympathetic. NOTE to the owner: this is not who should be managing your business. I have used my expired Groupons and other business and have never had any problems (most recently at SAMBUCCA 360). I will be sending the Director of Operations an email regarding my experience. read more
