If you were asked about an order that was already late based on the eta your website provided, make sure that when it is ready you give it to the customer standing patiently waiting for it. Their jumbo fried shrimp are awesome! It's my favorite fast food spot for shrimp because they're actually seasoned nicely. The jumbo shrimp aren't on the menu so you have to ask for them. One complaint though, when going through the drive-through they have the garbage bin placed before the drive-through window which is a little strange. How are people supposed to throw away things from their car if they have to reverse to throw away their trash? And if there's a line of cars you obviously can't do that. It needs to be moved to the other side of the drive-through window so people can more easily dispose of their trash as they're driving by. The best fast food in Tampa! The fries are seasoned with "seasoned salt" tastes like Lawry's. OMG, Lawry's is the best. I could write a review on Lawry's seasoned salt alone. This is a fast food type establishment where you order at the counter and also pick your food up at the counter when it is ready. This isn't a restaurant dedicated to Greek food they also serve other things. The service was OK, it was an average experience as far as customer service goes, not great but not bad either. The prices here are decent and the restaurant itself seemed to be clean. The food was good. It didn't blow me away but it was ok. We had been going to this Salems for years. Something has definitely changed. Once upon a time you pull in and the drive thru would be wrapped around the building, and looking inside you would see many customers inside. The last time we went, there was no car at the ordering box, yet we waited and waited and waited for someone to come over the speaker to take our order. Finally I had to say "hello", to get someone to come over the speaker. We put our order in and proceed to the window, make the transaction and leave. I was so excited to try this place for the first time. I went in and ordered a gyro with shrimp and fried okra. I had a long conversation with the cashier, who I believe was the manager, about what is in the batter because I am a partial vegan and I only eat seafood. It was clear that I had ordered shrimp because he repeated it back to me but when I got home (30 minutes away) I discovered it was chicken on my gyro and my receipt said chicken. I was disappointed that I couldn't eat my gyro. I called and explained what happened and was told I would have to drive all the way back to receive what I originally ordered. Hands down Salems is my favorite quick food. Particularly the Fletcher location. It's a lot cleaner and better than the others. Gyros are bomb. Gyro Wraps are bomb. Fish Gyro is bomb. Quite disappointed with this last experience. My husband always wants the same thing because they always delivered perfect results. Today, not so much.
