A party of 4 seated at a very small booth with not enough room. We were there to celebrate a family member's 60 th Anniversary. No one enjoyed the food. Undercooked Chicken Parmesion, very dry wings, soup with very little broth. On and on. $13 for a glass of house wine and $8 for a small beer. I went at lunchtime and they have lunch specials, with sandwiches. But no eggplant Parmesan sandwich??? The waitress said she's petition for it but they just don't serve it so sad. Not family-friendly. We are frequent guests at this Carrabba's and were very disappointed during our visit while dining with our toddler. We were seated in a booth and using our compact, table-mounted portable high chair that did not block the aisle or interfere with foot traffic. Despite this, we were asked by management to relocate due to "safety concerns." While the managers and our server were polite and professional, being asked to move with a young child was disruptive and frustrating. What made this especially disappointing was the lack of clear or consistent guidance. We've used the same chair at other Carrabba's and Bloomin' Brands restaurants without issue, so this felt unexpected. Consistent standards across locations would make a big difference for families. Unfortunately, this experience left us unlikely to return. read more

My husband and I ate here last night and we had Chance for our wait person. They were excellent! Great personality, wonderful service and they also offered us the $10 take home meal which we didn't even know about. The Italian old fashion was yummy and our food service was prompt and delicious! The Caesar salad and chicken soup is always good and our ricotta meatballs were really good. The only thing was that the lobster ravioli should have been cooked longer. It was too al dente. Next time we'll stick with the Mezza Luna for softer, plumper ravioli. We'll definitely ask for Chance next time for that great service! read more

I've been eating at the Carrollwood Carrabas for 27 years. It's the only restaurant I order the same thing every time I go (chicken Bryan). The food is always so good and fresh. I deserved a lunch treat, thought a minute, and remembered a Carrabba's steak sandwich I got a few months ago, one of the best steak sandwiches I have ever had. I googled the Carrollwood Carrabba's and saw that the Steak Marsala was still on the lunch menu. As I am a disabled senior on a budget, live alone, I generally "treat" myself via the drive-thru. I phoned and was greeted by Megan....I instantly felt as welcome as if I were being seated at a table. I had a couple questions, so she had the manager, Mike, come to the phone. Again, I felt like a valued customer, not one with silly questions. He transferred me back to Megan, and she took my order. I couldn't wait, drove right down, and pulled into the parking lot. Oops, I forgot my phone and couldn't check in. A couple minutes later she came out the door, greeted me by name with a big smile on her face. She said my order was almost ready, was waiting for the bread, and I gave her my money. A couple minutes later she came out with my order, thanked me profusely, and we said goodbye. I am home eating this again, INCREDIBLE sandwich....steak cooked perfectly, bread was as wonderful as the steak so a perfect match, extra bread, penne pomodoro side, and condiments. There is NO WAY I can eat all this....goody, I have leftovers....not all places are this generous!! As Arnold would say, "I'll me back!!" Thank you Mike and Megan!! read more

Two nights in a row our rents used rewards points & paid over $65 for substandard meals. Long-term residents of Old Carrollwood & definitely we kids were Carrollwood Owls @ Carrollwood Football/youth league players + cheerleaders, so is C'wood now a forgotten affluent bunt? Bean & lentil soup watery, bread & butter not sent in one night (my parents cannot ingest olive oil, but said yes to the herbs) Mom's linguine pescatore noodles were over cooked (gasp) and the seafood in the marinara cooked to rubber. Also who serves mussels which do not open? Not any cook worth their salt! Night two my overly kind mom ( it's the nurse of 45 yrs still in her) reorders. Giving them a chance to get it right. THEY DIDN'T runny soup with no flavor -They placed in two separate containers which helped the food critics who care what our elderly parents ingest try it. Horrid! And not the sausage & lentil Nona makes or that Carrabbas should sell. Caesar salads fair better from the scratch kitchen, pescatore so dried out, we were able to pluck noodles out without getting any sauces on our fingers & they were chewy. Dads two pork chops with Marsala were to be cooked Medium Well & were served medium. Mom (again too nice) called & spoke with Manager Mike who proceeded to advise the late he & his kitchen staff had been together for years. Hmmm, well, Prior to ordering each day Mom asks what is recommended & is rarely a "fail" and each time staffers are "stumped" Tonight will be their 42nd Friday night date night & at ages 65 & 70 respectively; we give a darn where their retirement dollars are squandered. Ironically Red Lobster food quality increased after the left our blooming brands portfolio. Maybe it's time to break up the "kitchen party" at the North Dale Mabry site. We celebrated my great niece's 2nd birthday, she loves pasta. So it was only right we came to Carrabba's. Our waiter JACKSON, was awesome and for it to be only his 3rd he ROCKED IT! Keep up the amazing work Jackson, your customer service is amazing and you're so personable. Jackson is the reason for the 4stars Drinks were delicious and strong! All the food was great except for the Filet & Shrimp Pasta Toscana; very bland and the noodles were mushy. Requested the pasta be saucy and it was put on the side. We had 3 orders of this dish and not one of us enjoyed it. What a terrible experience today! It had nothing to do with the over cooked ribeye because the manager replaced the meal with no problem. It was the waitress with the black hair and we were sitting by the bar. We tried to flag her down to get the check and she refused to come over. We had to have another server come take care of us. I wish I remembered her name just to let y'all know who to avoid. read more

Last night I met a business friend for a wine tasting dinner at the Carrollwood Carrabba's and it once again proved to me that when it comes to such things, Tampa restauranteurs are total amateurs. The food was decent, the portions large, the wine pours small (which is understandable). Four Duckhorn wines, the star of the show by far the expensive Goldeneye Pinot, which was absolutely delicious. Unfortunately it was paired with a very hot, very spicy Fra Diavolo which completely obliterated the wine. A cold, semi-sweet Riesling would have been the correct choice here. The first course Duckhorn SB was OK; fine. But the other two indifferent, uninteresting reds were completely mismatched. And the pairing of dessert with a Decoy Merlot was abominable. The Merlot on top of the chocolate turning everything sour. No thanks. As for the person shouting out each of the wine courses...she was an admitted amateur who in fact knew next to nothing about wine. So why put her in this position, management? The servers were quick and attentive and professional, however. I would have preferred to buy a bottle of Goldeneye for $60 and jettisoned all the rest... read more

Just had dinner here last night. It has really gone downhill and we won't be coming back. We had to ask several times for our ice teas. By the time we finally got them, we were done with our salads. Salads were not crisp and had too much dressing. Main dish was Chicken Bryan with roasted broccoli. The whole dish was drenched in very salty butter. I had to blot some of it off with a napkin. The chicken tasted old and was lukewarm. There was a big chunk of goat cheese just thrown on top, still in its original round shape and very unappetizing sundried tomatoes. I went there hungry but was not able to finish it. We have visited the other Carabba's on 54 in Lutz only a year ago and these same selections were great but I'm never going back to this one. read more

Came here for lunch with my coworker and friend. They were dead so we were seated right away. However they do have a waitlist option on their website available. Once seated we were greeted and our drink orders taken. I ordered the chicken Marsala with broccoli which also came with a side ceasar salad which I got with no croutons. The Marsala needed some salt but once added it was quite tasty. But after completing almost the whole breast, I noticed pink and was instantly grossed out and didn't finish my meal. I'm very picky about my chicken and couldn't finish with seeing this pink. read more

This Carrabba's is in the middle of the pack of the Carrabba's chain I have been to. Somehow the Carrabba's is average on the steak. But they are very good on the appetizer. I like their appetizer the best in compare to their main entrée. The service is on point today. Very nice attentive service that we have received. The serve also good on pushing the sales on other dishes and dessert. Carrabba's are generally generous on the portion of food. We always stuff coming out of the restaurant. Let talk about the food. We got the mussel with white wine butter sauce. The sauce is perfect. The mussel are the best among the Carrabba's chain. They know how to clean and cook it soft without overcook them. The entrée of the bone in ribeye was cook to the temperature. Unfortunately their Steak skill need to be improved. But they are better than the average restaurant. The meat need to completely cook but left the inward red on medium rare. They are more to medium. The meat has more tendon attached to it and tough to bite on certain portions. Worst service & food ever at any restaurant in my lifetime! Worst experience in my lifetime! Server (Lyndetta) took our drink order and we waited for 30 minutes before being served & our food order taken. No breadsticks or anything offered. Ordered Bread Trio appetizer and Fettuccini Alfredo with chicken. Had additional wait with no food. Requested manager, who came over and said sorry, nothing else. Wouldn't even give her name and neither would any other staff. Food finally arrived and it tasted terrible, quality was also terrible. Went to pay and was told that Delta meal voucher was not acceptable. I told them to talk with Delta as there were no restrictions on restaurant or meal. Bill total was $31.08 (#546 67/1 9/19/23 at 7:13 pm). Finally accepted Delta meal voucher for $24, but our bill was changed from $31.08 to $24.00. Server (Lyndetta) changed bill and charged, $24.00, the Delta voucher reimbursement, but we ended up paying the $7.08 difference of the meal and voucher. Received a bill showing we paid $24 only, assume the cash of $7.08 kept by server as tip. I did not leave a tip and I have tipped my entire life. The staff at this Carraba's was very unprofessional, rude, nasty and just unpleasant. The worst meal and interaction with staff I have ever had to deal with in my lifetime. Will never eat there, will inform family and friends and will certainly warn visitors to this location to be very cautious about eating or doing business there. read more

No bread. No herbs. We ordered dinner. 3 salads/soups came. Not 4. Bar drinks came then with bread. Still no herbs. 3 dinners came, not 4. Still no herbs. 1 of 3 dinners had hair in it. The server seeamed offended we wanted it replaced and REACHED ACROSS THE TABLE and said "lat me pick that out for you." WHAT! NO mgr came out. No apology. No comp. Horrible experience.
