I didn't mind because it was flavorful and tender. I also like how they include some fatty pieces for that flaavvor. Yum. Would get again. Their other meat options are Asada, Al Pastor, Carnitas, Campechano, Chorizo, Pollo, Carne Molida. I'll definitely have to try the campechano some time! Also, the salsa they serve with the tacos is NO joke - one was orange & one was green. I couldn't tell which was mild and which was hot because they were both pretty spicy, ha. But they were both great complements on the tacos. It sounds like there used to be a market once, but it's no more! A patron walked in to ask and then walked straight out when the gal said there was no longer a market! It looks like they've converted it to more seating, but it's currently blocked off. Glad to have found my go-to taco spot in Saline!

The timing of the service of the dinner was very good. No long waits, and the food was served hot, the proper temperatures. We had steamed mussels with the home made bread. The pairing was excellent. My wife has never eaten alligator and she surprised me by suggesting that she would like to try it. The taste was very fresh, lightly battered and spiced to perfection. My wife does not like spicy food, but she enjoyed it. We next tried the soups. She had the Mariners chowder and I had the gumbo. I have lived in Southern Mississippi, and I will say that the gumbo is by far one of the best that I have ever had. The Mariners chowder was also very good, but the gumbo was exceptional. For our entree my wife had the Lobster roll and 1 had the Jambalaya. The Lobster roll came on a grilled roll and the lobster stuffing was very fresh tasting. The Jambalaya was spicy the way it should be. The serving size was abundant. For dessert we had key lime pie and cheese cake with a strawberry. Both were very very good. The wait staff were very friendly and answered any questions that we had about the menu. I highly recommend Mac's for any of those special occasions or to just go out and have a good meal with you family.

You couldn't even stab your fork into it. Now I've eaten here a number of times in the past. But never have I had fish that well done. I had a coffee but was never ever asked if I needed a refill. At 1 point the server was standing right at my table. I was holding my cup, which was over half empty, and they never asked if I wanted to refill. The bill with tip came to thirty eight dollars. Maybe that's why I haven't been here in a while. I worked at Long John Silvers for 3 years, back in the 1980's. I was the manager, and if I ever seen a piece of fish came out that brown, it would have went in the garbage. If you're feeling lucky someday, go ahead and give it a try. But don't blame me.
