I will never visit this location again. Stop in today around 240pm. There was one worker and one customer she was ringing up. After she finished she came down the flat Iron aisle where I was and did not acknowledge me or ask if I needed help. I had to look around and over several stack boxes to look for the flat iron I needed. Why would you have a shipment stack outside on the sales floor during business hours. After I couldn't see the flat iron I needed. I headed to the hair care aisle. Where I noticed she looked up at the mirror to see where I was. Then she noticed me walking to the front where the register was she again did not acknowledge me. So as I walked out I said I guess you don't acknowledge customers in this store. As a cosmetologist, I try and come here or order my things through cosmoprof whenever possible. The people here are usually very helpful, and give me well informed decisions when it comes to their opinion. They do have good prices, and usually have everything I need. read more

The store was clean and well stocked. The employees were very friendly. The girl who helped me find the color I was looking for was very knowledgable about the product that was recommended to me. The girl who rang me up was also very knowledgable about the items I was buying and gave me some great tips on cutting and coloring my own hair. The address for this Sally Beauty Supply is WRONG!!! It took me to an empty field in the middle of a neighborhood!!!

I can't complain about this Sally's, it's the only one I go to, and I go to it often! My hair is completely dyed red, and I touch it up every other day. So you can imagine I make frequent trips there. My only complaint would be that they're often out of the color I use (N'Rage in Crimson Red). I know they get their deliveries on Wednesdays, but I usualy try to grab dye on Fridays or Saturdays and they're out at least half the time. If they sell out in a matter of days...it might not be a bad idea to order a few more from week to week! read more

I love this place, it is conveniently located next take to my salon so when we run out of simple supplies we can head right over and get what we need. It has saved us quite a few times. The staff has typically been friendly and helpful, always ready to point you in the right direction. Their prices are very reasonable and if you have s Sally's card it's even better. But you to have to watch some of the products they carry some are amazing, but some of their shampoos and hair care are knock offs of salon products so I wouldn't shop there for hair care. But supplies and hair color seem to be good. read more

I went in to Sallys wanting to purchase some nail files and polish. Of course while im there I look in the hair care isle too. When I first entered the store a short white girl with stringy blonde bob hair greeted me. No problem. Well after she greeted me she stood in the same isle that I was in. I said to myself maybe it's just me but I think this chick trying to watch me. I then walked over to the hair care isle she walked over to the hair care isle too. I then knew I was being followed. So I started picking up stuff as if I was going to buy stood there a minute effin with her. I put every last item down and walked out. I make times homegirls salary I have no reason to go to jail over some nail polish and hair dye. This location needs to get their jive straight. I just went across the street to Target to get what I wanted. If Sallys really care about thieves have the proper devices marked on each item and hire security to watch people through a camera in the back dummies. Following people is not cool! read more

This one isn't the one near me, I live near Ft. Meade & Severn Square is closest. If you're disabled, don't bother. Even when I used 2 canes, it was tight getting around as their aisles are narrow & stuffed full of displays. Walkers, scooters, & power chairs don't fit, nor would a regular wheelchair. They don't want you browsing, either, or reading labels (some ingredients cause me trouble so I have to read labels). No trying on wigs, & I was told there was no point in my looking because they didn't sell falls, wigs, etc., for (with a sneer combined with a look of utter disgust from one staff member), "caucasians," (the staff, which I think is all one family, are Asian, exclusiveky, which doesn't bother me except for things like the way they treat everyone when I've been in there). If they only sell hair for people of color, that's fine, I'll look elsewhere...except there were falls that matched my hair & I'm very fair, so I think it was someone who has been on the receiving end of the same treatment from caucasians & was trying to "get even." I just shrugged & said that was OK. Anyway, regardless of the ethnicity of a customer, the times I've had to go there for items like hairpins, Bobby pins, nail polish, nail maintenance items, or looking for a particular type of shampoo I couldn't find elsewhere, it seems like they treat everyone who enters the doors as a thief, without exception. You are followed around...all of sudden every aisle has someone stocking shelves or cleaning & giving you sidelong "looks" as if you had just left organic fertilizer on the floor. It's like they want you to come in, show them 3 forms of ID & a cosmetology license, & a list of what you wany, wait, not double check the order, or change anything, & never touch your purchases until you're out the door (they sweep th em away from you when you put them on th e counter to pay for them & if some one orders stuff, they keep it behind the counter, put it into a bag, make sure your payment is OK, & hand you the tied or stapled bag, oractically shooting you pit the door. I've seen more than one customer whi has just left a handbasket on the floor & left because they were tired of being watched & getting nasty looks from sour staff people. And the sigh of relief when sme one leaves, yet the endless grumbling about everything...I have no idea how that branch stays in business, unless I just happened to go in when a nasty crew was on dury. I know that store is like too many in the area of military bases, where the service is always awful, the people are always surly, & you hardly see anyone darken the doors most of the time after they've been in business a while. I could list a few fast food places that haveh/had the same attutude yet stayed for decades until they finally closed or changed hands or didd something else with the building entirely. I imagine they have a lot of issues with a transient population of civilians & military, but there are plenty of businesses in that same place that are really nice to people & seem to do well. I don't know about other Sally's locations as I don't get put much. And this one might have improved, but I'm not about to darken their doo% when they last told me to get out as they don't allow wheelchairs in there because of "not enough room." read more

*Good selection, Not the most professional employees* I've been to this Sally Beauty several times. The selection is always good and they have yet to be out of anything I've ever needed. The prices are excellent when compared to comparable products at specialty or drug stores. This location is much cleaner than others I've been to, and they never have product boxes clogging the aisles, dust on anything, or smears and smudges from people "testing" the makeup. It's clear they do their job to keep it clean and neat. I had been looking for a bright cherry red permanent hair color, and even in salons were telling me it couldn't be bought over the counter. Sally had several colors to choose from. They also have a color replenishing shampoo and conditioner that are only $6.50 a piece, and with the sale they were running I got them 2 for $10!!! The only other red replenishing shampoo I've found was $15 a bottle and didn't do as much as this cheaper version. I hesitated on getting the Beauty club membership, but when I saw the amount of sales and deals they offer I was sold on it. I've already earned a coupon. They generally offer everything at least $1 less for club members. The only thing that takes away from this shop is the unprofessional attitudes of some of the employees. It seems that the majority of those working here have no idea that obscenity laden gossip about coworkers or other shop workers is not appropriate for work. In the times I've been in, I have heard conversations about what a "stupid b*tch" one coworker was, the sexual positions one of the women prefers, and a particularly wild rant about one of the managers and someone wanting time off. Quiet conversation I can understand. The occasional slip I get. This is not that. This is a case of employees not seeing that when a customer walks in, you should probably stop cussing and yelling your private conversations across the length of the store. If you aren't easily offended or bothered by unprofessional employees, I would say pick this shop over others nearby. But be prepared, and I wouldn't take your children in here unless you want them to learn a few new things. read more

This place is great! By far the best beauty supply store around. There are always great deals. I'm a beauty club member now and the discount is worth purchasing the membership. The young ladies that work here are awesome! They are knowledgeable about the products and always make sure you are in the loop on any sales running. Sallys is well stocked with options and often has great sales and promotions. My issue is with this particular location. I visit here fairly regularly. Staff is a bunch of trolls. They are not friendly. They are not helpful. They are not knowledgeable. I don't expect staff to be beauty experts but I do expect them to know how to operate the register. This was not a new staff member. Also today I attempted to visit a few minutes after 9 when they are to open and the location was closed. I double checked the times on the door. I waited about 10 minutes and still no one opened the store. This is absolutely unacceptable. read more

I am very pleased with the customer service I receive when shopping at this Sally Beauty Supply. I have been a customer for 2 years now... ever since I decided I wanted to start coloring my own hair. I change my hair color A LOT and they have never steered me wrong! The employees are very knowledgable and helpful. The store is always kept very organized and well merchandised.
