I had an appointment for highlights with Jazz (for my roots, the rest of the hair was already blonde) and when I left the salon my roots were completely undone (see photo). When I pointed it out she told me that it was root shadow and it would wash off even though the dark roots are the exact same as when I went in. I am extremely disappointed as I paid $590 and now I have to pay again someone else to do my roots Edit: I have already washed my hair twice when writing this review and unlike what's suggested in the comment, this was *not* a correction, my roots (the dark part of the hair) were completely virgin when I went in (and largely remain virgin as you see in the photos). The first year of the pandemic was an awful time for hair. When i finally felt comfortable going to a salon, I sacrificed money for quality. I was left with uneven color and cut, dry hair, and tones I didn't like. I soon reached out to Salon 1322, and was matched up with Stephanie E. Stephanie works MAGIC on hair. She was confident that she could fix the damage, and made me feel comfortable throughout the process. Before she started, she explained exactly what she was going to do and made sure I was happy with the steps. She is so knowledgeable, but also warm, friendly, and accepting. She knows how to read what you need: if you need some quiet time, it's there, and if you need to vent, she's there to listen too. My hair has never looked better! She was able to fix the color and give me a better cut, and in turn the confidence to let my hair down (literally!). After a few sessions, we thought it would be fun to add extensions for my upcoming wedding. I was a little nervous as I had never gotten extensions before, but of course, Stephanie did such an amazing job and I absolutely love the way it looks. I don't think I could ever go to a different salon. Although Stephanie is my go-to person, I don't think you could go wrong with any of the stylists here. Everyone leaves with great hair and good vibes. The energy here is fabulous. For those of you worried about COVID safety like I am, this salon takes all of the necessary COVID precautions. Came here for balayage. I wanted to get ash brown highlights and had a specific color in mind. I have been coloring my hair for years and I know sometimes you don't get the exact color match because of a number of reasons. Especially if you have dark brown hair like mine. But Karlijn is so talented after showing her what i was looking she did such an amazing job. Its actually better than the photos i showed her. I am in loveeeeeee with my hair and get so many compliments all the time. I came here after reading all the good reviews and I am not disappointed at all. The hospitality is on another level. I remember feeling nervous on my drive here but only because it's my first time and so all I knew of this place at the time was based off of the Yelp reviews and Genevieve's bio on their website. But the nerves all went away the moment I stepped in to the salon - no particular reason though, just very warm, friendly & welcoming vibes all around. Who doesn't love that? My experience at Salon 1322 was absolutely lovely. As soon as you step through those doors, the vibe is bright (all those beautiful lights!), upbeat and unpretentiously luxurious. The covid check-in process is easy, you just check-in on their iPad and there's hand sanitizer right there for your use. The owner, Deb, made time to say hello and was so sweet to me. My stylist, James is incredibly welcoming and fun. I desperately needed a trim, and James knew exactly what to do to bring my hair back to life. He really takes the time to not only listen to you, but to devise a plan on how your hair will work in real life (he's all about teaching you how to take care of, and style your hair). After my cut, James gave me the most beautiful waves and high-shine hair I've ever had in my life. Thought I'd treat myself after years of not getting a haircut and it was totally worth it! James was the hairstylist I got and he did such an amazing job with my hair. Plus he's super sweet and funny! The entire staff was very welcoming and nice to me when I arrived, and that made me feel very comfortable. James first asked me what I wanted and what my usual routine is so that he could give me suggestions. He then trimmed some of my hair, washed it, gave me some Kerastase scalp treatment, and continued with trimming and layering my hair. When he was styling my hair, he explained his technique ("Feel it, but don't touch it" LOL) and all the do's and dont's. I've gotten a lot of compliments from family and friends afterwards. From start to finish I had such a positive experience. When you walk in a iPad station is set up to check in. There is an automatic sanitizer, finger protectors and covid friendly treats that are septratly wrapped next to it. Once I was checked in I took my temp and the hands free wall thermometer and was greeted and assisted right away. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. I had the pleasure of working with Jazz. Not only is she extremely talented but she is also kind and compassionate. My hair was all sorts of shades.... Green, lime green, blue, brown... I thought it would be "fun" using a blue overtone, a color deposit conditioner. BIG mistake. It took forever to wash out and left a green tone to my hair. Jazz did such and amazing job. I can honestly say that this is the prettiest my hair has been. I love the cut as well! I cannot recommend and praise her enough. This women owned business has offered an empowering experience. Probably the best experience I have ever had at a salon. Stations maintain 6ft of distance and you have option of being on the patio. Disposible drapes are also available. I have been to a salon post covid and it did not take the same cautions as Salon 1233. As a new mom with lots of anxiety this has been such a treat. read more

I was so overjoyed with the color, cut, kindness and total professionalism of Gen. (By the way, my photo attached is old so not the new color/cut.) From booking to consulting, everything was clearly laid out which is important. My goal was to not have to color my hair as often as I have brown hair with grey and I don't like the grey. The highlighting job Gen did was perfect and will allow for my grey to come in and mix with all the other wonderful colors so it will all blend better. That way I don't have to go as often and my hair will still look great. It is on the thinner side and we all know you don't want to color too often if that is the case. Gen is professional, hardworking and dedicated to making her clients feel beautiful and helping their hair goals a reality. Since the moment I contacted him, he made himself available to me and did everything in his power to make my bridal hair dreams come to life. He took me in early on a a Saturday for a trial and walked me through the entire process. He went above and beyond to create the hairstyle I had envisioned. I was over feeling just okay about my color and cut when I reached out to Salon 1322 and Tracy worked with me by asking al kinds of questions about my hair type, expectations, past experiences, etc before what I like to think of as "matching me" with James V. He's so wonderful! I've never felt apprehensive in his chair. The first time I worked with James I told him I wanted to go shorter in length later in the year (after some trust was built LOL). He evened out my color, cut off some of my frayed ends, and showed me how to properly use rollers and blow out my hair. When I went in for my haircut (medium-long length to a lob) a few month back I really appreciated how methodical and deliberate he was with how and where he cut. One of my favorite parts of working with him, he's very engaging throughout your whole experience at the salon, he tells you what he's doing and why with technique, he loves to teach you how to archive your desired looks at home, and share product knowledge.
