So I go here to get my hair and nails done all the time. But this last time I went in for full highlights the lady who did my hair did not understand how light I wanted the highlights to be. I showed her pics and came to get it fixed so my hair wasn't so brassy a week later. Still not what I wanted and didn't look anything like what I wanted. The problem is there is a huge language barrier here. I can not understand what the lady's say 90% of the time. I'm thinking if this wasn't a problem I would have got what I paid for with getting high lights. $150.00 down the drain for a bad highlights. Pls have someone who can speak both languages. read more

I absolutely love this place! Moved down recently from Seattle and was afraid it would take a year to find a good hair salon and a good nail salon. I never dreamed I could find a place that did both this great. I won't even tell you the name of my nail lady because I don't want to share her with anyone. I have nightmare hair and Kimberly somehow gives me beautiful locks that are easy to manage. If I ever have any teeny tiny complaint, I tell the owner (who's always there) and I get more than hooked up. I usually ask for some ridiculous nail design and they nail it every time. I've gone here a few times for pedicures and I didn't have many complaints. Therefore, I've returned. I came here the day before my vacation to get a pedicure, and the lady talked me into trying the dip powder nails. I agreed as I have been wanting to get them done. Well.....DO NOT DO IT. I walked out embarrassed. I have never had my nails look so horrible. I had to go back to work so I was unable to go back to get them fixed. I called and mentioned it to the front desk, and she said she would give me a full refund for my nails (not the pedicure as I was okay with it). They did not give me a full refund for my dip powder. They don't stand behind their word. Every single nail was a different shape, thickness, and the powder was uneven. Not to mention she made two fingers bleed. The photos don't do it justice. They look bad but think about that and ten times worse. Many people have actually mentioned to me they do a shorty job on nails. Save your money and go elsewhere!!!!!!! read more

I received a full set of french tip acrylic nails at this location and I give the place a three star rating due to the cleanliness of the establishment, the kindness of the staff, and the ease of making an appt and the appt starting at the promised time. The job that the woman did with my nails was sadly, subpar. They were a little lumpy in places and the acrylic was not applied evenly, the tips were also applied without giving enough room for growing out to where I would only need a fill next time around...about a week and a half later, they were lifting and upon leaving the shop I had a lot of glue residue under my nails that I had to pick out... It seems that a lot of the customers giving this location 5 stars are receiving mani/pedis, just pedis, or hair treatments/styles/cuts. If you are looking for a set of acrylic nails this may not be the place to go... I really did want to make this my next nail place but I'm still on the hunt! I can't seem to find a place that consistently does acrylic nails and designs well... maybe I should just open up my own shop and become a nail tech cuz I can't find consistency for the life of me around the Tumwater/Oly/Lacey area. read more

Today was my first time here. Saw great reviews on here and decided to try it since it's close to my work. I scheduled a gel manicure and classic pedicure. First off, the classic manicure is an amazing deal! This has to be the best basic pedicure I have ever gotten and the person (wish I would have gotten her name for future appointments) was very thorough and gave a great massage! Second, the other person (also wish I got her name) did an amazing job on my manicure, very meticulous and also thorough. Lastly, the staff was extremely nice and friendly plus this was a very clean establishment! Overall, I will most definitely be going back. I've been going to my regular nail girl for 6.5 years. I'm loyal but I'm picky and selective. I've been coming to salon spa for about a year now when my regular girl isn't in town. (She's moving I'll be coming here all the time) All the girls do a great job but Tina is my go to. She's efficient and does an excellent job for my picky self! I also switched to coming here because their pedicure bowls are lined and they throw the liners out when you're finished. There are only 6 pedi chairs which I love because it's a quiet and relaxing environment. They offer you coffee tea or water. Tina always takes her time and I never feel rushed for their next appt. My favorite part is being able to book online!!! They take you back within seconds. They used to have punch cards but took those away recently. I hope they bring them back!! It was a great incentive. Salon Spa? More like Shangri Spa! This place is fantastic. I came here last weekend in dire need of a pedicure. However, the experience I had went above and beyond my expectations. First off, the way they have this place set up is genius. When you walk in, you're greeted by the receptionist area on the left and the manicure/nail stations on the right. The rest of the services have their own rooms off the main part of the salon. This not only makes your experience more personal, but it also alleviates a lot of noise/minimizes any smells from the various products they use in the different service areas. Speaking of services, they have an entire menu (literally) of them. I've never seen so many options! This place really is a one-stop shop. You can get your hair done, your nails done, your feet done, get waxed, and then get a massage WITHOUT having to pay the entrance fee that comes with visiting a spa. I also was pleasantly surprised to see the multiple organic options they offer, which for someone who has sensitive skin, is a dream come true. Their prices are very comparable to other places I've been even though this place is more like a day spa and less like a typical salon. I ended up getting the organic spa pedicure and was extremely pleased with what it came with/the results! The pedicure rooms each have their own flat-screen TV, which is especially awesome if you go on Sunday (Go Hawks!). The spa chairs are comfortable, plush, and provide a great array of massage options as you get your pedicure. Just make sure to tuck the chair remote back in it's pocket after you select your options as there is a high likelihood you're going to end up falling asleep! Did I mention the staff? Everyone here is extremely friendly and attentive... including the owners! All in all, this place is worth checking out! Just had the worst experience. Wanted white tips fixed on one hand. Waited, was going to make appointment, woman said I can do it. I thought she was removing white from the tips to redo but she actually was removing the gel manicure. So angry that I paid good money 2 have gel last longer two weeks ago. I really like this place. My 4 year old daughter has had two haircuts here. Most recently, Kim P cut her hair and did a great job. She took a lot of time and attention to give her a great haircut. In the past year I have gone to Salon Spa four times to have a pedicure and each visit had a different person. Once, everything was just as expected but the other three times were mixed. Some examples: the polish I chose was dried out and no replacement; at the conclusion of my service was told to sit to have nails dry and after 15 minutes no one checked on me so I just went to the counter; callous removal is included in the service but it basically involves a few seconds with a cheese grater rubbed on your heel. When making an online appointment it is not unusual to get 3-4 reminders of appointment by phone, text and email which is too much. I noticed on the website that the price of a pedicure just increased from $22 to $25. read more

All four of us got pedicures. The girls & I got eye brow waxing & I got face wax too. My husband got his hair cut & now this is the only place he will go. For my birthday he surprised me with the deluxe facial. It was so nice and relaxing, I can't wait to get another facial. My oldest daughter had her hair colored and cut by Nancy and she is so happy. My best friend goes here now. As well as my mother & my younger sister. It's simply amazing! I know it sounds too good to be true but it is! They offer tea, water & coffee to everyone. The selection of products are amazing. I've never had so many different kinds of pedicures and manicures to choose from. I even found a salon product I never want to live without. This place is like walking into someone's home. It's a husband and wife team. They truly want to take service to the next level & it shows.
