This place is awesome. First place I've ever been to that has a menu for different kinds of pedicures. Myself and my 2 friends all got the hot rock treatment and it was wonderful. My one friend is a male and he wasn't feeling too comfortable at the beginning but they did such a good job of relaxing him and making him feel comfortable he didn't want to leave by the end of the appointment. I have tried gel nails a few times before and was hesitant to try again. They always peel within two days. I am working on two weeks now and am very hard on my hands. They still look lovely and I have not had one chip, lift, peel, etc. amazing! The salon was nicely organized and super clean. I would absolutely go every other week, if I did not live in Arizona!! I have been here a few times now after needing a new salon. I have had Tina every time and am so happy to have found this place. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. My first time I came here it was close to closing time and I was getting a fill but wanted a pedicure too. Super disappointed in this place. I haven't been here in a while but decided to go back while I was in the area. My gel polish felt sticky after I left. A day later the polish began to chip causing my nails to become thin. A week later multiple of my nails are broken because the polish chipped and thinned my nails out. I didn't have time to go back after the first day to have them fixed and now I'll have to wait weeks to get my nails fixed after the broken ones grow back. read more

I literally won't go anywhere else in the Olympia/Tumwater area to get my nails done. The reason being that they do a job well done every time. Everyone is friendly and the location is clean. On top of that, my nails last for weeks! I used to live next door to the place and stubbled upon it on accident with my roommate. Absolutely love this place! So far I've only been for a manicure and pedicure but each time blew me away. The customer service is fantastic, it's exceptionally clean and they take their time on you while doing a fabulous job. Today was my first pedicure and let me tell you, I'm 34 weeks pregnant with twins and boy did I need it! The appointment lasted a blissful 90 min!! They have a ton of different package options and I opted for the paraffin pedicure which wasn't a whole lot more price wise but definitely worth it. The tech I had spent at least 30 min massaging my legs/feet which to me is the best part. It was relaxing and quiet and I was able to sit back, read a book and soak it all in. My toe nails turned out beautiful in the end and exactly what I was looking for. I don't think I'll bother trying any other salon from here on out and will definitely be checking out their other services. Today I was lucky enough to have BOTH the nail shop I usually go to & the alternate shop close early because of the upcoming holiday; been trying for days on end to get my nails done but with a husband just home from the hospital, its been impossible to find the time. Well, this is a " GOING TO GET DONE," so I turned to my trusty YELP app to see what was available close to where I resided. The 5 star rating caught my attention immediately & then I realized that SALONSPA was the new 'kid on the block' that I curve around & see the flags in front while TRYING to negotiate that lousy new roundabout that the city stuck us with, on a previously safe intersection right in Tumwater. My new discovery did themselves proud! Wonderful technique by the nail technician, Tui, individual rooms, lovely interior & complimentary refreshments. This spa is like one I was treated to as a gift a few years ago in Albany OR, but the cost of that establishment was "off the wall! They turned my hair orange and charged me 200+ for that and a bad haircut. I asked for highlights and it was a lovely shade of cutie orange (sarcasm). I thought, well, maybe it looks different in natural light. The owner was insistent it looked good and the gal who did it was so proud she took pictures. Long story short it cost me 300 to fix it. They were able to see me in 30 minutes. My nail technician was Anne. She was so sweet and I must say amazing. The leg and foot massage I received was out of this world. I will be going back for sure. I was in Tumwater for some business and had some spare time. What better way than to fill time than with a pedicure? Yelp reviews suggested this was the best in the area, and they had availability in the schedule. I had Thau as my technician, and she was wonderful. I had the Ocean pedicure. The salt scrub and massage were so relaxing. There is quite an assortment of quality polishes to choose from, and the reception and service areas are very clean and modern. This is NOT a 5 star, would be 4.5 but no option. I struggled because I wanted to give it a 4 but I just couldn't, not with the circumstances. I gave it 5 because of the way they accommodated us and treated us. So I will be thorough. I needed a different style of hairstylist but we are not in Seattle so I know that I cannot ask for Seattle in South Puget Sound area. They get a 5 because of the fact that I asked for a style that is big city and this gal pulled it off with few drawbacks. 1st - I drove from NE Oly there because of the 5 stars. And I am a true yelper so this will be long. They deserve 5 stars on their hospitality. Period. And I did walk into a "nail spa" (though unaware it was). And I will add, that it was NOT a real nail spa, it was like a fancy spa/nailshop/hairsalon, it was great and very pleasing to the eye, all in one kind of place so if you have little ones, do visit! I will mention, my nails are the BOMB! Best manicure ever, ran me $25.00 with gel and massaged my arms and shoulders. Unfortunately it chipped already, which I fixed but this could have been something I did so I still claim 5 star on the nails. She was very friendly and professional, just a sweetheart I really liked her so Im going back. One of my kids was a whiner, really because he wanted to go to his barber but we have an event and have no time to go to Lakewood, so we chose to come here. She did basic kids cut in like 10 minutes, which is pleasing because he is 9 and fidgety, and she did amazing. Great hair cut. She nailed it, 4.5 stars. My other son went in and wanted the Gnash hair style so we did this. She was great, but here is the 1/2 star deduction. She boxed his hair really weird and has a crooked hairline now. I thought she was only lining it but actually buzzed off his widows peak, which mind you looks great with this hairstyle. Yet again, I was in a Spa, and its easily fixable at home but I still gotta do it now. Nonetheless, I will still bring him back and instruct better on the hairline so that it comes out a 5 star haircut. She was not a dedicated hairstylist, she was a multi salonist as I saw she sat down and could also do nails (not everyone can style, barber and nails and she does). He has grown his hair out for a long time and was hesitant but sat in the chair and now absolutely loves her and wants to return but maybe will check on that hairline. I will recommend. Good hair experience I have had with the my son who likes crazy haircuts. Anyone else would have butchered. She was amazing, listened and executed the best she could. read more

I got a pedicure and gel manicure done by Yen and both were great experiences and turned out perfectly. I'm in Olympia often and wanted to find a really great salon to do my nails. I found Salon Spa advertising in the local Val Pac and thought I'd give them a try. Well I must say this experience was over the top. The salon is beautiful. Separate rooms for hair care, pedicures and massages and a lovely grand space for manicures. BB was my manicurist. So attentive. I even had a neck and back rub while my nails were soaking! The manicure tools were sterilized and packaged for use. I was sent home with the file and buffer--a nice gesture. Coffee and other beverages were offered as well. I will definitely be back. My manicure was a French gel for my natural nails. read more

I never would have found Salon Spa if I had not found it on the web. Their Web site has online booking, which was very nice and convenient. The location is a little outside of Tumwater but close to exit 101. For my visit I got a padicure and it was a great experience! They have a variety of pedicures to choose from, all offering something different! I decided to spoil my feet a bit and choose the $60 pedicure and I'm so happy I did. All the other pictures I've ever had normally last anywhere between 30 to 45 minutes. My pedicure this time was over an hour and a half long. I've searched for a salon home since the military moved us here years ago. I have finally found it the owners are the kindest people and our stylist Nancy is amazing. I took my daughter yesterday to do something fun with her waist length hair before starting potential chemo treatments or having a dangerous brain surgery to retrieve a biopsy of a cancerous spot in her brain. From the moment we walked in the door my daughter felt special. Every employee tended to our needs, said hello, and when it was all said and done the owners Scott and Kimberly along with our stylist Nancy gifted my daughter a new rose gold pink highlight/color treatment for her hair. I left in tears from the kindness and generosity from strangers. I will forever be grateful for the look on my daughter's face when we left there with her beautiful new fun hair style. Their kindness made her feel so special, cared for, and taught her the valuable lesson that good, kind, and generous people exsist in sometimes the most unexpected places. My BFF and I went in on the 27th of December. I believe this is my 4th time. I tried the dip twice and did not last, nails broke and polish peeled. I was convinced to give the dip another chance. I had chosen a brown color on the dip but ended up with something close to brown. Anyway I decided on Acrylic nails with gel top coat. I choose a design and the technician decided to do the design she liked which I was ok because it was Seahawks and I got compliments. Well it started to peel and did not last. My cuticles were dry and awful and did not pay attention to it. Slapped on some oil and did not even take the time to rub it in. I went in again on the 27th of December and wanted a mellow gold and black for New Years Eve. The technician had a shiny gold which was cute. I waited a half hour which I did not mind because I am glad they take their time. When she started on me I could tell she was in a hurry by the way she started filing quick, and started slapping the tips on. I asked what about the lumps, she said " that is fine is only powder" My tips were crooked, design was painted on even and nails were not shape the same. I left with lumpy nails that were just awful. I decided to reach out to the owners in a private emails and he apologize and said will make it right. I went in on January 2nd to have it done with a different girl. Left looks great. They use stencils for my butterfly design, was beautiful I watch the previous technician as I am getting my nails done massaging another client she was working on while nails are being soaked off. I never received that from her the last three times. Well here is two days later and I am watching TV and i looked down at my hand and my entire thumb polish in whole was sitting on m throw. Started looking at my other nails and some are lifting and ready to peel. I will not be going back. Nice people and nice establishment but I don't have money to waste. Came in to get my hair done with Kimberly who does an amazing job everytime, also ended up getting a mani and pedi from one of the workers there. It is really beautiful inside and has a very relaxing feel to it. I was well taken care of , i felt as if i was very important to them. My nails and toes came out very beautiful. I have used the Kiara dip nails many times at Salon Spa and only once did I have an issue where the powder was lumpy. All other times they were fine, did not lift and lasted a long time. I have had pedicures and my hair cut/colored. I will go no where else. Just remember it is up to you to inspect the final job and ask for repairs or ask why the cuticles, etc weren't done at the time of service. This is true of ANY service provider. It is easier and less time consuming if you ask for repair at the time you are there the first time. read more
