This place is awesome!! It's definitely what I imagined a New York pizza would taste like. Me & my bf ate here and spent only $30 for a really good amount of food. We ordered a slice of cheese and pepperoni with a drink, 10" bbq chicken pizza, fried pickles, and garlic parm bites. They gave me two pepperoni slices on accident & then gave me a free cheese slice to make up for it. The cheese pizza was a definite 10/10. Everything was so fresh & well made. The service was great! Workers greeted us when we came in and were very patient while we looked at the menu. The gave us about a 25 min wait, but some food came in like 15 minutes. The vibe is cozy & just a great place for locals. For sure coming here more often with my bf & our families.

Legit New York style pizza place! We're from the east coast and have been on the look out for some good'ol pizza from back home. I was going to just eat a slice of cheese pizza just to try it out first. It was so good that I ended up getting a whole large cheese pie and other small pies for takeout. Quality ingredients, the crust was just right (not thin or thick - but just right) and you can tell they take great pride and care on making great pizzas. The staff was friendly and the lady who took my order was patient and kind. The whole place reminds me of your typical pizza joint back in NY/NJ but it's clean and had a nice welcoming vibe.

The only reason they get 1 extra start is because they have good wings. There seems to always be an issue with this place though. Sometimes they are great and most times there is an issue. I used to live there by there and that's why I drive across town to get these wings. Not any more. The last straw was today. Not only do they short me 5 wings, but they counted 4 clippings of the actually wings as wings. You know the part that has no meat on it. As I do understand things happen, it's how a company reacts to issues that keeps my business. I called to let them know of the issue. It not like I will drive across town for 9 wings. I just wanted to let them know. The lady on the phone basically called me lier. She said she talked to the cook and he counted 30 wings. I told her I will send a picture and she said no. I will give you 5 wings when you come back. No apologies, no care. She probably thinks I just wanted free wings. I told her just give the wings you own me to someone else as I won't be back. Her response, "they will be here next time you come back". I didn't even tell her about the clippings they called wings. I hope she gets the photo she didn't want and has a real conversation with her people that lied to her. A sincere apology was all that was needed. I try to support small businesses, but they fail the people that keeps their doors open. Unfortunately the big box stores know how to take care of the customers.

THIS PLACE IS A HIDDEN GEM! A friend of my husband recommended we try this place and we were not disappointed! This is honestly one of the BEST tasting pizzas we've BOTH had! Their crust alone is 10/10 - perfection! I had their Philly cheesesteak with fries and everything was delicious! Jo the Manager was so warm and welcoming! She walked us through the menu and gave us recommendations which was really sweet! It's a super comfy cozy little place with really great food, great staff and great prices! We definitely plan to be regulars!

I've been meaning to check this place out for awhile now.. ever since moving down the street a few years ago. I honestly wished I had not waited so long. The woman working the counter was super nice and friendly. We stopped in for the fantastic two slice special, two slices of cheese pizza and a drink for $4.99. The pizza was fantastic, you can tell the dough is hand stretched and it was thin and crispy. The sauce and cheese were in perfect proportion; all together a great slice! You would never guess this pizzeria is connected to a gas station. We'll definitely be back soon.

Service ~ amazing! Super friendly and sweet. Ambiance ~~ it's connected to an AMPM but still super cute. Places to sit and enjoy all this yumminess! Food~~~ OMG so sad I have to give only 4 instead of 5 stars. Pizza (Buffalo Chicken pizza) sooooo yummy and crust was delicious Fried pickle spears ~~ yummm Buffalo logs ~ yummy Apple pie logs~~~ more please lol Cheesy garlic bread and marinara sauce ~~ oh so yummy Chicken parmigiana * chicken was chopped up * so not very much chicken Looked burnt and definitely was not edible because it was so dry Not sure what happened but I was very disappointed We will definitely try again but it'll be a while. Prices are definitely fair

Found this place googling pizza by the slice. It's located within the gas station but has its own entrance. We were greeted by their friendly employee and placed our order. They have a good size dining area that you can eat there if you choose. We went with the 2 cheese slices combo that came with a drink and an additional pepperoni slice. Our lunch was around $10. The pizza was just absolutely delicious. They pop the slices in their oven that gives them a nice crispy crust. The flavor was all there. We will definitely be back.

Sals pizza is delicious! Depth of flavor and cheesy goodness with fresh vibrant toppings! We had 4 16" (large) pizzas. The white pizza was so good, Sal's special pizza was quite a hit as well. Our new favorite Italian food joint. We called & picked up with no hastles but they do deliver. read more

Tried Sal's for the first time tonight with a friend of mine - we did a 1/2 cheese, 1/2 cheese and pepperoni pizza and mozzarella sticks. The mozz sticks were delicious! The only reason I gave 4/5 stars was because we requested that the pizza be a little more well done - when the pizza was picked up, one of the chefs asked if I could check the pizza out to make sure it's okay as he said he thinks he might have cooked it a little too long (which I totally appreciate him asking us to check it before I left!).. and it looked great! I told him it looked perfect! However, when I got home, we noticed the bottom was burnt... the pizza was still good but I probably would have given 5 stars if it didn't have the burnt taste to most of the slices LOL Again, I should have looked at the bottom of it when I was picking it up, so my fault there.. but I'm also wondering if the chef noticed it too lol We will give this place another shot soon and just skip asking for it "a little more well done" next time! I am from Brooklyn NY and I love Sal's pizza, but I ordered pizza and chicken parmigiana today and was so disappointed. The pizza was good as usual but the chicken left much to be desired the chicken was pre sliced which made it dry and I could tell it was not fried then baked as the recipe calls for. Next the pasta was not cooked in thhe sauce. What I got was pasta topped with cold marinara and chicken then it was baked with the cheese. The whole situation was terrible. read more

This place is my savior when it comes to getting NYC slices to Vegas. If you like mushrooms get some added on the 2 slice deal. For 5$ you can't beat the price. I have also ordered whole pies and they never let me down on the quality of the food. If you have a sweet tooth, try that yummy cheesecake! read more

Just had the best New York style pizza at Sal's . 16 " half pepperoni for me and half tomato and mushroom for my wife. Also available is a Sicilian pizza . Other Italian dishes and sandwiches are available . Prices are reasonable in this modest eatery. We will go back with friends. Returned to Sal's with friends . The New York style pizza 16" half pepperoni / half plain. Our friends had a white pizza w/ spinach. Both excellent . read more

I really loved Sals when The actual Sal was alive. Since he's been gone, this place is slowly going down with customer service and quality of food. Older guys working night shift look miserable and do not even greet you when you walk in, they are rude and speak to you like if you are bothering them. Finally received my pizza, it was old and just reheated, and they forgot my side of fries. Worker sitting down doing the books looks extremely unhappy and just stared us down as we walked in. I personally will not return. Hopefully they will start making improvements. It would be sad for Sals to go down after many years of hard work. read more

I ALWAYS have to stop by Sal's when I'm in town. I absolutely love their pizza. I'm super picky when it comes to crust, but it's always perfect, especially if you're in to New York style pizza. The staff is friendly - I love Jo and the rest of the crew. Wish there was a Sal's in LA so I could get it more frequently! read more

This place has amazing food. We had the 2 slice special & garlic knots with a side of marinara. Honesty it was the best marinara I've ever had. The cheese pizza was great, nice thin crust with a nice crunch, decent amount of sauce and tasty gooey cheese! All the tables had oregano, red pepper, garlic and parmesan shakers so you could season your pizza how you like. The staff was very friendly and the service was fast. We look forward to coming back to try other menu items! read more

I pass Sal's on a daily basis and decided to stop in to check it out. I wasn't really interested in pizza but thought I'd try some pasta. I figured an Italian place would know to to cook some sauce. I was wrong. The pasta was way over cooked and not seasoned, or drained, so it left a pool of water in the plate. The sauce was bland and tasted of nothing. I don't understand how you can have marinara completely devoid of flavor, but somehow it happened. The side salad was just basic tomato, lettuce, red onion, carrot, cucumber, and lettuce. Maybe the pizza is better, but the pasta sucks. The blue cheese dressing was decent. read more

Most of the time we order pizza but today we ordered calzone and spaghetti and the spaghetti came out cold and the calzone although good it came way later. Sad experience. Eat in is not a good choice. read more

I last visited Sal's Pizza four years ago and wow have they expanded their menu - meatball sliders, seasoned bacon cheese fries, and their amazing cannoli ice cream sandwich, to name just a few additions. The food here is on another level - nothing beats made from scratch. From the dough and the pizza sauce to the ranch, you can taste the quality and dedication in every bite. And four years later, it's the same skilled pizza maker at the oven, making these amazing pies. My words will never do this place justice. One taste of the food at Sal's Pizza and you'll definitely understand the truth in their slogan - "Good Food Made By New York Italians". read more

Don't believe the hype. We ordered 50 bucks worth of wings for delivery online; only to be informed 15 minutes later that it was too late for delivery. they took the money anyway without delivering the food,had some poor excuse, and refunded the money 3 days later. they offered a free fountain drink for compensation. i HAVE actually had their pizza before, and it is soggy and greasy (new york style) little pizza joints like this always make money because the product costs little to make. that's why this place is still around. read more

Terrible. We got takeout pizza, chicken Parmesan and chicken fingers. All of the food seemed like it was cooked in the microwave. It was awful. Also...shares the same building as a gas station. I hate to give a bad review but they could use some huge improvements with their food, not sure how they have 4 stars read more

Some of the absolute best crust in town, amazing homemade ranch, quick service and so many great options to choose from. Truly some of the best pizza in town. And heats up just as great the next day. If you're dining in, they have racks of herbs, cheese and 2 TVs to watch the knights game on. read more

I have a few favorites in town but this just might be my new go to pizza place. I've only ordered regular cheese pies and French fries but what more could you possibly need from a traditionalist. Nothing fancy... just good pizza and great service. The guy even offered to help carry the pizza to my car because I had my hands full carrying my son. I'll be back for sure. read more

I used to come here when it was Villa Pizza way back when. I live on the west side of town and haven't been here since 2007 or 2008 maybe. Today, while out joyriding, I decided to drive by to see if there was still a pizza place here. Lucky for me, there was.....Sal's. I went in, got two slices to go, and ate them on my way home. Just how I remembered it. TASTY! I'm happy that I stopped in. I will be back. read more

Sal's is the go to option for my kids when given the choice. Pizza is delicious, the wings are magnificent and the Chef's Salad is one of the best I've ever eaten. We order from here at least once a month...if not more. The people that work there are happy and friendly. Steve the owner is a big supporter of the local little league and a really great guy. Ian, who usually delivers to my house, is very friendly, prompt and courteous. (Even when my dog scares him!) For years I assumed it was "gas station" pizza because of its location. But once you go in and try it ...you forget that it's attached to a gas station. It's clean, has a few arcade games for the kids and you instantly get that pizzeria vibe. I cannot recommend this place enough! read more

I really wanted to like this place and especially during Covid I want to support local businesses but the pizza was not good at all. Completely undercooked. I picked up a piece and the toppings slide off because the crust is paper thin. Undercooked paper thin pizza not really appetizing. The salad was okay. read more

Just passing through town on a road trip and saw that this place had some good reviews so we decided to give it a try, we're so glad we did! Delicious pizza! Crisp crust with just the right balance of sauce, cheese, and toppings. Very friendly staff and clean atmosphere (even though the gas station next door is another story...) Best pizza I've ever tasted. Was there this past week to satisfy my cravings. Splurged with hot wings and chicken tenders. They always provide large portions, that allow me to take some for lunch the Next day. Maybe next time I'll try one of the sandwiches, but I may still get a pizza for the next day. I stopped ordering from the franchise pizza down the street from me. It's worth the drive to get best. read more

Established in 1999.

Sal has been serving his customer's in Henderson and Las Vegas since 1985. In 1999 Sal began selling pizzas out of his Henderson location. Sal's has been a staple in Henderson ever since. In August of 2018 we lost our beloved Sal to cancer. Now Sal's assistant , Jo has taken over. She continues to use all of Sal's secret Italian recipes his Grandmother gave him before leaving Italy. Prior to moving his family to Las Vegas, Sal managed Lenny's Pizza in Redhook NY for 25 years and Pizza Towne in New Jersey for 5 years.

Meet the Manager: Jo K.

Jo came to us 10 years ago as an experienced Manager from Los Angeles California. Jo worked under Sal for 5 years. In August of 2018 we lost our beloved founder. Jo has taken over and continues to carry on Sal's reputation as serving the best NY pizza in Nevada.

The girl shaping the pizza dough finally asked what I wanted. I told her my pizza was ready. When she asked the other lady standing there where it was she said it wasn't ready. I told her the app and the in-store billboard sign both said it was ready. Her response was that "the app isn't always accurate". Within seconds they found my order and gave it to me. I have NEVER been to any company or customer oriented business that didn't even acknowledge that I was there, especially by FOUR different employees who all saw me waiting to be served.

Stopped in Sals to try something new.. Ive ordered pizza from there many times since being in the neighborhood for the last 3 years.. I walked in with my 5 year old son and politely asked if they have a chicken sandwich available.. The woman working there said No!! with a foul tone in her voice and continued to finish her phone call.. Comes back to me and I decided I would go for their 2 slices of pizza.. Then I had asked well do you have any sandwiches?? She replied silently and rudely pointed at the menu above the registers.. So I looked at the menu and there was a chicken sandwich.. Like, you couldn't of made a recommendation or suggested something else??I said, " I thought you said there was no Chicken sandwich"? Then she says sir "why the attitide"?! and tells me to get out of the store... I dont ever Yelp or leave reviews on any establishment.. But the ignorance and the way she made me feel in front of my son was unreal...I threw the paper menu back at her and walked out.. Aye, me hearty, ye be talking to Cap'n Pirate , the scourge of the high seas! Listen here, landlubber, I've got some booty to share with ye. Last week, I made me way to a place where the people were friendly, but the grub they called pizza was scurvy enough to make me want to keelhaul the chef! It was as thin as a ship's hawser and as oily as the bilge water in me hold. The joint was small, tucked away next to a dirty old gas station, and I wouldn't use it as a target for me cannon! Now, I may be a pirate, but I'm also a connoisseur of good grub, and that pizza didn't pass muster. Though I sincerely miss their pizza, (being a jersey native), i will never go back to Sal's. Nearly a year ago, i was verbally attacked by the woman behind the counter over a covid mask. She was excessively loud, rude, and obnoxious before i even got through the door. It was so unnecessary, not to mention, embarrassing. I would think such behavior would be embarrassing for the owner as well. I write this a year later as I still miss the pizza at Sal's, but their employee was so offensive, I still will not set foot inside. read more

As a New Yorker I can attest to the fact that Sal's PIzza in Henderson is one of the only 2 places in the Vegas Area that I eat PIzza and Italian food in. Please don't allow any negative messages from people that frequent PIzza hut or Dominos stop you from a great PIzza experience. Sal's place is Immaculate, the Kitchen is spotless! FYI. Sal and his brother in law were the owners of Las Vegas's original Villa PIzza until they sold the franchise. Sal's PIzza is the real deal and he's from Brooklyn NY. read more
