Alright, I'm going to rant a little here because this is not right and I will never go back to Salas. I ordered off the lunch menu and I ordered hers off the kid's menu when I got the bill. Hers was the same price as mine, which was $9.99. I didn't look at the price because I just said, 'Do you have a kid's menu?' and he said yes, he pointed at it in the menu. I said, 'Well, we'll take the taco meal.' Needless to say, none of my family will eat there again. We've had enough of that place. read more

This was definitely one of the worse food experiences I've had in Hot Springs. I'm on a 3-day Baecation, and we've been on a local restaurant hunt. This restaurant was across the street from our hotel and had been packed for two nights, so we thought to try it out. Salsa, horribly unseasoned, it was like colored water. Chips, old, stale and DRY. We even tried the sampler, we took a bite of everything and sent it right back. TERRIBLE. We had two different drinks, margaritas, not worth it. Then on top of it all, our $60 bill had a $22.78 forced tax/surcharge. A complete rip off. The only thing I can say is that they had nice decor. The salsa is good but everything after that was very disappointing. The food is very mediocre and bland. The red sauce is terrible and I have eaten at many Mexican restaurants. We decided to try this place due to the proximity to our VRBO. It was okay. Not bad, but not really good. There were six in our party and we all said our meals were decent. Service was okay, the server didn't speak much english, so it was fairly difficult to order. The restaurant was pretty clean. I got carne asadas and they come with very little meat ( any I've ever had have enough meat in them but theirs have like 2 tablespoons of minced carne) I asked for a little bit extra and they charged us an entire meals worth and the manager wouldn't fix it. Service was wonderful and our family enjoyed the food. However, there was a hair in our guacamole, which I didn't find until it was it my mouth. I was grossed out, but didn't make a scene. The waitress handled it well, apologized and comped the delicious, but hairy guac. In an effort to avoid drama, I picked at my meal. The last bite I took led me to finding another hair in my food. I immediately stopped eating. I wanted the rest of the family enjoy their meals and asked my husband to not make a big deal of it. Our first visit since parents moving to Hot Springs. The food was excellent as was the service. The booth was comfortable and fit our party of four well. Will definitely dine here again soon. My 88 year old father in law said best authentic tasting Mexican meal he'd had since moving from CT to AR. And he had 2 excellent mixed margaritas. Recommend dishes we had were: chicken tacos, chile rellenos, chicken fajita taco salad, chicken burrito w/rice and refried beans, and the molcajete salsa specialty. read more

Went to Salsa's one mid afternoon. The interior was pleasantly cool and on the dark side on a hot sunny day. Our server was prompt and friendly. The menu was made up of typical dishes you see in TeX Mex places. Everything was very good. Salsa's is a solid choice and I would expect it to be reliable in what they do. read more

I've eaten in salsa's in mountain home and it is wonderful. A couple & my husband ate there yesterday in hot springs and were thoroughly disappointed. I ordered and item off the menu that showed a picture of it and what I got wasn't anything like the picture nor did it taste like it was described. The chips tasted like they uSed rank lard to make the corn tortillas. We had 2 orders of lunch size fajitas, taco salad, fried taco platter, large guacamole, 2 waters, ice tea and 2 beers and our ticket was $100. Server didn't understand English. The food portions were large and had a lot of options. However, they asked us for cheese sauce and beef sauce on our burritos without saying it costed extra and we said yes. The receipt charged us extra they refused to take the charges off, most workers didn't speak English/ Inglé. read more

BEWARE THEIVES! I Visted this restaurant for lunch and spent $100 dollars for 2 people. Upon exciting the restaurant i realized i left my $200 dollar pair of sunglasses sitting at my table. I returned to find the bus boy had removed my glasses from the table and walked away. I inquired about speaking to the manager and was told no manager was on duty and that no one could help me. I was ignored by basically every employee until i demanded to speak to a manager repeatedly they finally got him on the phone and an hour later he arrived. Upon arrival the manager told me there was nothing he could do but check the security footage the next day. I filed a police report and left. The next day I call again and the manager informs me that my table was blocked from the camera and that they were not responsible for the actions of their employees. So im out $100 for a Crappy meal, and $200 for my 3 day old sunglasses. DINE AT YOUR OWN RISK. read more

Visiting from Arizona and decided to have some Mexican food on our last night. We sat at the bar because they said it was open . There was no bartender, so it took awhile to get drinks and food . We are from Boulder City Nevada and only by chance found this beautiful gem. EVERYTHING about thus restaurant is authentic! The food, decore, and music but most especially the service was fabulous! Jose , our waiter, was very attentive and polite. It was a pleasure listening to authentic Mexican music and not the radio! From now on.... Once we were seated it took forever for someone to come to the table to give us chips and salsa, take our drink order or just say welcome. Once that did happen our waiter could not speak English. This turned out to be a major problem. (Why you would have someone who's job it is to talk to your customers that doesn't understand the language is way beyond me) I along with everyone in my party got their food items wrong to no surprise. Again visiting Hot Springs we returned to Salsa's; last time we liked it. The service was FAST and FRIENDLY. The food was REALLY GOOD; the portions were large. Strangely, they were almost empty at peak dining times. This meal was no different and leaves us scratching our heads why more people aren't stopping in. We've had this style if Mexican food in many restaurants at hone; Salsa's is as good as any if them. Let's start by saying the hostess was extremely welcoming (1 )and the salsa was okay(2 ), I have probably walked out of 2 other restaurants in my life. Most of my reviews are positive but this server tonight, brought rude and disrespect to a whole new level when my wife asked to replace meat with veggies didn't realize you could offend someone by asking for veggies and it was obvious he didn't want to be at work and we tried to look past that until he finally went to ask the kitchen and came back saying he was going to up charge for veggies to take off the meat‍ and proceeded to express his dislike for serving.
