Stopped in to try a new coffee spot and this one is a real winner. It's hidden in the commercial complex but it's very much worth seeking out. They have a real nice set up inside with a decent amount of seating both inside and out. The ambiance inside is very relaxing and much worth hanging for a bit, while you enjoy the coffee, which might I add is also well balanced and good. I got the cold brew with vanilla cold foam. The cold brew was well balanced and smooth. And that cold foam was the perfect amount of vanilla. There was only one barista but they were very kind. This place was pretty nice! Location wise, it was well hidden between office buildings. We came here on a friday and it was pretty busy. The parking lot was small though, so you for sure will need to do street parking in the area. The location was beautiful. A lot of green and open concept. It's a great place to hang out, work, study, etc. The drinks can be pretty pricey, but it's what you expect in Newport Beach. We ordered the strawberry matcha (in season) and a regular iced latte. Both were pretty tasty and refreshing, but both the size of the drinks were pretty small for that price - in total was $14. They do have wifi, but they kick you out after 1 hour, so it's pretty annoying if you're there for a while. read more

Here I am decided to try a new coffee shop, and this place is such a unique one! The plants surrounding the area, inside felt super cozy sat at a table next to the fireplace, definitely in a hidden area surrounded by corporation plazas. Felt super earthy, warm and since I have never been here before, I asked the staff what is the most popular items on the menu. We ordered a vanilla latte and a Chagaccino. Flavors were very light and filling. They had your typical pastries did not get a chance to try them. Small menu, the only cons I had were not much parking space, and I wish the inside had more tables since it can get pretty crowded indoor. I did see some tables outside in the front, but they were wet, and it is cold outside so definitely did not want to be out there. I would come again since the ambiance was pretty neat. read more

I absolutely love the interior of this coffee shop! All the plants give it a very relaxing vibe that makes you really want to hang out there and take it all in. They had the fireplace going and it was so cozy. Service was nothing memorable, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. The biggest downside here is definitely the lack of seating. Everything about this place screams "come hang out here" but we came to do some work on a not very busy afternoon and still found it tricky to find a comfortable place to sit. I looked to my left and looked to my right and seen a lot of grown adults sitting and doing their work here. There is this fun fireplace there that looked super cozy. I honestly wished I had more time to sit and stay because it seems like a place that I'd enjoy chilling at. Coffee: I had no idea what to get so I asked the really friendly girl taking my order what she liked. She said she liked the cortado both hot and cold. I wanted it warm so I got a hot cortado with vanilla syrup. It was delicious and I could tell that it was GOOD quality coffee. The drinks are some of the best I've had in this area and the staff are very friendly. The space is extremely aesthetic though not super comfy for staying a while. The only reason it's not 5 stars is the wifi situation. With a name like freelance coffee, I expected this to be a working haven. But the wifi kicked me off every 30 minutes and I had to reconnect every time, stopping my workflow for 2-3 minutes each time. Quite a nuisance & confusing considering the wifi states you get only 1 hour per day. The whole wifi experience is confusing and frustrating for an otherwise nice coffee spot. A simplified wifi experience would make this a regular stop for me read more

One of the few places you can get macadamia milk too. They also offer oat but no soy. Service was good too. No complaints. If you are looking for good coffee, this is a great spot!
