This was my second time at a Saltgrass steakhouse and I need to come more often. Loved the variety of the menu and our waitress Janiya was amazing! The interior really gave steakhouse feel but not too uppity - but classic down home steakhouse. Okay let's get to it - THE FOOD!! Drinks 9/10: portion size and flavor of both drinks was just right. No complaints. Brisket queso 8/10: flavor was good but the brisket was a little stringy. Would get again though. Chicken sandwich 10/10: the chicken was seasoned just right. The bread was nice and soft and it was just an overall good sandwich. The response after the first bite: "clock it" Steak and shrimp 8/10: the cut of steak was odd but it was cooked how I requested. The shrimp was also good - think they're frozen but no biggie, I still enjoyed them. The only thing I didn't care for were the shoe string sweet potato fries. The fries themselves were good, I'm just not fan of these types of fries.

Parking is easy with a free lot surrounding the building -- no stress before you even walk in. The ambiance has that cozy, outdoorsy, Texas vibe with mounted animal heads and TVs for entertainment. Whether you prefer the bar, tables, or booth seating, there's a comfortable spot for everyone. The service was attentive and genuinely pleasant -- the kind that makes you feel taken care of without being hovered over. And the food? Fresh, hot, and packed with flavor. The green beans were perfectly crunchy and seasoned just right. The shrimp and artichoke pasta with their special sauce? Absolute chef's kiss. Highly recommend for a relaxed night out with consistently great food!

This was our second time here. Both times we've had a great experience. The first time we went our waiter was the really tall gentleman, not sure of his name but he's such a friendly guy. Second time around we had Kennedy. Very friendly, attentive, and helpful with our order. To begin we ordered the Ranger Rattlers which were huge. They come in orders of 4,6, and 8 I believe. We ordered 4 and that was good for two. They were delicious and stuffed generously with shrimp and cheese. For the main dish we had the 8oz sirloin which comes with 2 sides. We both had Caesar salads, my husband had the potatoes which were really tasty, and I had the Brussel sprouts. Those Brussels were really good! The restaurant seemed really kept and clean. We really enjoyed our food and experience here.

This was my first visit to Saltgrass Steakhouse, and I couldn't wait to try the QUESO FRESCO WITH BRISKET during happy hour. At first glance, I expected the beef portion to be more generous than a spoonful, which was a bit disappointing. Still, the dish had potential-more brisket would have taken it to the next level. On a brighter note, the fried pickles were absolutely delicious. Can't wait to return and explore more! The staff was accommodating.

Saltgrass steakhouse in Dallas! It's been hella long and I finally got to go on accident for a family member's birthday party and I'm not gonna lie after looking at the yelp reviews and the photos I was kind of skeptical. But I said let me keep an open mind because from what I've heard the place was pretty good, but that's to be determined... This location had a lot of parking and they were packed upon arrival. The place was lively and bustling fasho. The server was nice and she made sure accommodated. I ended up getting a 9 ounce filet mignon with mac & cheese. I always do my red meat medium well cause I'm not about to have my red meat mooing. No lie our food took hella long to come out! When the entrées finally came out, my filet mignon was medium well but literally on the cusp of medium rare. The filet was pretty good... tender, juicy and seasoned decent My mac & cheese was decent... it got the job done. The sprite was a little flat but I ain't complaining. I really didn't have high expectations. I will be back only to another location I guess, but actually nah I take that back I won't.

I met up with a family friend for lunch. It wasn't terribly busy and we were seated immediately. I can't remember our server's name, but he was nice and attentive. I ordered the 6 oz. filet (medium) with mashed potatoes and a Caesar salad with cracked black pepper. The filet was very tender and flavorful. I also had a small piece of bread with butter and it was good. It was a decent amount of food for a lunch portion. We both had peach sweet tea and it was so refreshing. The server brought out an entire carafe for the table and even gave us to go cups with fresh brewed peach tea which was so thoughtful! Saltgrass is becoming one of my favorite casual steakhouses. The steak is consistently good and the service is always on point!

Went to Saltgrass Cedar Hill last evening for a birthday celebration and it was the worst experience I've had. The service from our waitress, Karen, was slow and not orderly at all. We received our dinner salad before the appetizer and the prices have increased while the ingredients have decreased. They no longer serve tomatoes in their salads and no jalapeños in their queso. I'll not be going back to THIS restaurant as I'm pretty sure all Saltgrass restaurants are not the same. I'm hopeful for a meal without excuses elsewhere.

Great service and the steaks are delicious! First time there. Super good drinks. If you are in TX for the first time it's a great spot to check out.

I I decided to get the butterfly cocktail. Really I wasn't impressed with it. It was not strong, came in a plastic cup and was underwhelming. I shared food with friends. We got the fried catfish and shrimp combo with mashed potatoes. We also got the suya beef skewers with sautéed vegetables and macaroni and cheese and greens. I was most impressed with the fried catfish. It was delicious and I'd recommend it. You won't be disappointed. The mashed potato were ok. The greens and macaroni and cheese were tasty. The service was good. Our server did a good job with our large group. Be aware if you have a large group gratuity will be included. On Sunday the entertainment is Don Diego jazz band. It was fun and the music vibe was great. My only dislike on bingo was that they gave away the answers (but I can be a little competitive so most people probably like that). As for the food, they have decent happy hour selections and happy hour lasts all night on Thursdays. We ordered the catfish nuggets, suya, and deviled eggs. The last two were not on HH but were well priced. I enjoyed each dish but thought the suya steak could be slightly more tender. I definitely plan to return and to bring others as it seems like a fun spot.

The smoke from the kitchen basically consumed the dining area and was very irritating. It eventually dissipated after a while, but I wouldn't recommend infants in this environment. After our party was seated, it took 15-20 min before our waiter greeted us and provided water; that was a bit annoying. After we got our orders in, things were smooth sailing from there. We were a large party and our waiter did a pretty good job at managing us and all of our requests. Food: they do not waste time bringing the food out. Most of our orders came out within 10 minutes! I ordered the Short Rib (unfortunately not pictured). It was hot, tender, and seasoned well....very good. It came on a bed of rice and some type of sauce. I was not a fan of either. The rice seemed uncooked and the sauce was too much and very liquid. It drowned the rice and practically made it soupy. I would have been fine with just the short rib. I also ordered a side of black eyed peas... also not a fan. It was undercooked and I didn't love whatever seasoning was used to prepare it. Other items I tried: Fries, Cornbread, Yams, and Soul Rolls. These were all tasty, specifically the soul roll. It came out crispy, hot, and stuff proportionately. I could take every bit of what was inside. It's definitely a must try.

The menu prices could be adjusted downward but it was a nice experience. I'd recommend if you're in the mood for soul food. The sweet potato cornbread was the best!

I pass by it all the time on the way to the gym, and finally decided to try it today for the first time. We ordered the Mango Lassi, Butter Chicken, Allepey Prawns, Garlic Naan, Butter Naan, Roti, Mint Chutney, Raita, and Lasooni Gobi. Everything was really good here, and I can't wait to come back to try new dishes. I usually always go for the usual at Indian restaurants, such as the tikka masala, butter chicken, samosas, etc. but we decided to try the Allepey Prawns since we've never had it before, and it ended up being one of our favorite dishes we tried tonight. Next time we plan on trying their Palak Paneer and Biriyani, and this lollipop chicken I keep seeing all over Yelp. Nayal was our server, and he was very patient and attentive with us since we took forever to order. All of the staff here was pretty friendly actually. This location is across from Walmart on Uptown Blvd. The Lasooni Gobi was also really good, their cauliflowers still had a slight crisp even when they were sauced up, and was very flavorful and fragrant. Out of all of their naans the Roti was the crispiest, the garlic was really flavorful, and the butter/original naan was a nice balance of both slightly crispy and soft, pairs well with all of the dishes. The ambiance is nice and quiet but with a good volume of music playing in the background, which accommodates the vibe lounge since they offer wine and beer. Highly recommend and will definitely be back.
