Salt Grass Steakhouse - Grapevine Good service from our waiter. He was very attentive, despite being very busy inside the restaurant. He deserves, Five-Stars. (I wish I remembered his name) When we ordered our drinks, hot coffee and unsweetened iced tea, he replied, "I don't have anything made fresh, but I'll go start brewing fresh batch of coffee and tea." I can appreciate that. Small details really do matter. When he brought our drinks, upon tasting them, my dad and I could tell, our waiter was a person of integrity. Once we ordered our food, it did take a little bit but we didn't mind. Once the food arrived, both our steaks looked great. Our waiter came back after few bites, to make sure our steaks were indeed how we wanted them. "New York Strip," 12 OZ, was especially good. Hats off to the chef. It was cooked with perfection. The seasoning and the butter melting on top was amazing. No need for additional steak sauce. "Smoked Mac & Cheese," was also the best I've ever tasted. I had to give some to my dad to try. It was perfect amount of cheesy, well seasoned and good portion of bacon pieces sprinkled over it. I want to give this place, five stars, but despite our waiter going above and beyond, place being fairly clean. I do have few things to mention that doesn't make this place a Five-Star. We were seated by the kitchen and no complaints there. But some of the kitchen staff, waiters and manager on duty, can be heard complaining and possibly loud arguments. It was somewhat unprofessional and you could tell, staff didn't care if they were heard or not by dining guests. Otherwise, I would still return and recommend it here. A side note. For a high-end steak house, outside in the dark times, the word, "Salt" is burned out and it looks like it's been out for over a year.

Celebrating birthday for twin grandsons. Party of 9. We got a great table and waiter was prompt to get drink orders. We ordered two apps and they were wonderful. Our food was delivered hot and timely

I am visiting Dallas for a day, and wanted something good and casual and Saltgrass did not disappoint. I had Greta service from Robert, and for $20 was able to get steak, potatoes, salad, and complimentary bread. Additionally, I was able to catch a couple of the sports game as well,l which added to the overall laid back but positive atmosphere. Will definitely be back again at some point!

Fantastic experience! Friendly greeting right when I walked in, carefully thought out suggestions when I asked for an opinion on the food, with genuine care put into the answers. My server Lex was on point, and made an effort to communicate with me when I was having issues. First time visit, will definitely be back.

Usually the food is excellent. But the ribs were very poor quality. Literally the worst tasting ribs that I have had in Texas.

It was a great way to kick off our lunch. It just hit lunch time, so the restaurant wasn't too busy and we decided to take a seat at the bar for our meal. The restuarant is beautiful, great decor, very bright yet great seating for small or large parties. It looked like there was private dining also available! As we perused the menu, we were greeted promptly by our bartender, who's name is slipping my mind, he was such a sweet guy! He gave us some excellent food and drink recommendations. The one drink I went with that he recommended was their 21-day pineapple infused vodka martini. Shaken beautifully and poured into an ice cold martini glass and dressed with a fresh pineapple wedge. It was nice, crisp, cold, and delightfully fresh! For the food, I was originally thinking a burger, bc it's a smokehouse, and that's what they specialize in, over the fire cooking, but his recommendation on the Hot Honey Chicken sandwich sounded too good to pass up, and in fact, had a missed it, I'd be missing out!!! The sandwich was huge, and after the camera eating first, I took my first big bite, and it was so flavorful. The chicken was hot, crunchy, sweet, with a little spice, crisp pickles, cheese melted as I took each bite. Just a great burst of flavors. The fries I liked very much, and now thinking back on it, should've ordered a side of the sauce they had on the sandwich to dip those fries in. My sister order the 1/2 ribs, which she says were really good, along with a side of au gratin potatoes, that looked like they came from someone's moms kitchen! She left nothing on that plate!!! This was a great first impression of the restuarant, and I look forward to trying them again, something that can be kissed by that flame!

We also got a lovely visit from a manager, Reigan. She spoiled us with a free dessert for our celebration! But what she really did that was above and beyond was after we left the restaurant. We got home and realized one of our boxed items was left on the table. Date night at Perry's last night!…read more First things first: Perry's is gorgeous. Modern, upscale, and elegant without making you feel like you're about to be judged for holding your fork wrong. We had reservations and were seated immediately. Unfortunately, our first dinner companion was...a fly. I know this is Texas and flies don't exactly RSVP, but this one seemed determined to experience fine dining right alongside us. Eventually it either found another table or met its untimely demise. Either way, peace was restored. The manager stopped by within the first 20 minutes to check on us (his visit was unrelated to the fly), which was appreciated. Our server was prompt, friendly, and had excellent timing throughout the meal. The only miss? She gave us the speed-run version of the menu and never mentioned any of Perry's signature dishes. She didn't realize it was our first visit until we were paying the check, which explains why we unknowingly skipped what they're apparently famous for. The warm bread arrived early with butter so soft it practically spread itself. Dangerously good. We split the Caesar salad, and honestly, it may have been my favorite part of the meal. Lightly dressed with house-made croutons and seasoned sunflower seeds, every bite had crunchy, citrusy, salty/spicy goodness that somehow all worked together beautifully. For our entrees, my husband ordered the cedar plank-fired redfish, and I went with the special Beef Wellington. We both had the exact same thought after a few bites: the seasoning was winning the battle...against everything else. We love bold seasoning, but it felt like all the flavors were competing for attention instead of letting what seemed to be beautiful cuts of fish and beef shine. The loaded mashed potatoes, however? Zero notes. Cheesy, whipped, buttery perfection. Dessert was the chocolate chip bread pudding with homemade toasted marshmallow, and this is where things really surprised us--in the wrong direction. It somehow managed to be bread pudding...without much flavor. I didn't think that was possible, but here we are. Completely underwhelmed. To wash down our dessert disappointment, we ended the night with the Salted Caramel Espresso Martini. And honestly? It almost redeemed everything. It tasted like the most decadent chocolate milk you've ever had--with just enough espresso to make it feel classy. This drink is dangerous in all the best ways because it goes down far too easily. Order one...just don't blame me when you immediately want a second. As we were leaving, we finally learned the real star of Perry's is the famous pork chop. Then one was delivered to the table next to us. Y'all...that thing looked about five inches tall, carved into slices like a pie, and could probably feed a small family. Holy moly. Final verdict: beautiful restaurant, attentive service, and some genuinely great bites. But if you're a first-timer, do yourself a favor and order the pork chop. Apparently, that's the move. Guess we'll have to go back and let the giant pork chop have its chance at redemption.

It's almost like a theme park, it's own little world.. and each restaurant it's own extra-special entity. They're really paying attention to the details here! When Old Hickory first opened over 20 years ago, my sister was hired as a hostess. She'd been a hostess at Joe's Crab Shack and my family visited her there often. Sadly we didn't get to visit her at Old Hickory in the same way, hahah. Too special, too costly! But ever since they opened we knew it was a quality restaurant focused on a stellar menu. You won't find a steak here for under $60, but if you have the opportunity to splurge or are looking for a special occasion spot, Old Hickory is a top notch choice. The menu is classic steakhouse... gorgeous steaks, shrimp cocktail, oysters, baked potatoes, a wedge salad. All the expected goodies amped up to perfection. Hamachi crudo, crab cakes, seafood towers, lobster bisque, charcuterie boards... wild mushroom risotto, mac and cheese, parmesan truffle fries, creamed corn. King salmon and sea bass. I mean, come on. It's all the steak sides and toppings and sauces of your dreams... blue crab Oscar, foie gras, Maine lobster tail, steak "Diane," creme au poivre, bearnaise, horseradish cream, chimichurri. How do you even choose?! The atmosphere and service is just as impressive as the menu. Think dim lighting, live music, and a mini-vineyard view. And the staff is impeccably attentive, kind, and knowledgable. Chef Tsvetan Vladimirov is so skilled -- don't miss out on his craft or this gorgeous steakhouse experience!

My Marriott elite status meant we started with a free glass of champagne for the wife and I, and it was very good quality. Our server, Debbie, was incredible. She was efficient, friendly, and professional. Imagine a friend who brings you whatever you want, sort of like that. Service was impeccable from start to finish and could not have been better. The ambience is upscale and sophisticated. It feels like a quality experience, and that is what you get. I started with the broiled oysters and they were excellent. We are trying to stay away from raw oysters so the broiled oysters were a nice compromise. The flavor was perfect: not fishy, no smell, no weird aftertaste. I would get them again. The wife started with the beet and burrata salad and loved it. For entrees, I had the center cut filet mignon and it was perfect. The meat was perfectly seasoned and cooked to medium exactly as I requested. I added a baked potato and it was enormous, enough to be an entree unto itself. It was covered with bacon bits, sour cream, and a cheese sauce that reminded me of nacho cheese. I could not possibly eat it all because it was so large. The wife had the lamb chops and they were incredible. The meat is melt in your mouth tender. No strong lamb flavor. I am not a big lamb fan but I have to say, it was really really good. She added the chipotle creamed corn on the side and it was very good. Drinks: I can't forget the drinks. I had some Mexican martinis and they were excellent. A sour and tangy drink that quickly becomes addictive. The wife had a mezcal drink that with the words "illegal" in the title but I don't remember the full name. Wow, it was good. It has mezcal, mole bitters, and something else. The drink is smoky, slightly sweet, and completely captivating. I could drink about five of those! The wife limited herself to two. Dessert: I had some kind of pastry with pears and blue cheese. It was good but I really don't know why I ordered it since I was already completely full from the steak and potato. The wife and kid shared some kind of chocolate ball thing that I did not really pay attention to because I was helping the wife with her second mezcal drink. They loved the dessert. We waddled back to our room, completely stuffed and feeling fine from the drinks. The meal was expensive, but the quality is there. The chef or chefs are very talented. I don't mind paying a lot if you get high quality, and Old Hickory delivered. We will be back!
