The bartenders were attentive and made us feel welcome. The happy hour menu is half off all appetizers, except the jumbo shrimp cocktail. We ordered the beef tenderloin bites, Brad's crab stack, and fried pickles and peppers. Y'all...it was FABULOUS!! That plus two glasses of wine, a beer, and one margarita. Jordan is our favoriite waitress and she is surrounded by a team of exceptional waiters and waitresses. We pass 2 other Saltgrass restaurants to eat at this specific location because the employees here are all great. The management team is doing a lot of things right and it shows in every aspect. The food is always fantastic! My family loves coming to this location. Their steaks are obviously the best choice, but if you want something outside of that bubble then the salmon options are pretty good as well. My only complaint on our most recent visit is that we had 3 different servers throughout our meal. It was extremely confusing and no one really handed us off to the next server or gave us a reason why our server kept changing. I wasn't even sure who my tip was going to at the end. They were all very nice but when we needed something we weren't sure who to flag down because all 3 were still working with other tables. Waiter was good I don't remember his name but the food was disappointing today. Saltgrass is what it is, a middle of the road steak restaurant so I don't expect amazing but typically it serves its purpose. Ceaser was good but one steak came out so cold it couldn't even melt the butter after I smeared it. They were nice and took it back but when it came back there was so much butter I had to wipe it off. 30 minutes after dinner and butter is the after taste. Will return as we come sometimes but we usually go to the location off 35 and will most likely go back there. read more

I had a couple of bad steaks back in Oct 2025, they tasted burned. The restaurant asked me to come back a second time to win me back over. I was reluctant but I did go back around the 2nd week of December. I was very disappointed that my first impression was not a good experienc. My second visit: I spoke to the manager named Jacques and he explained why the steak tasted burned. He knew immediately what the kitchen did wrong. Since he worked his way up the ladder. We had a discussion about the other things that went wrong that evening I first came in. What was nice about my second encounter was he wanted to make all the wrongs right and he learned that even a former employee had been let go who I encountered the first visit. It seems like a calamity of errors but Jacques made it right and the whole second visit was wonderful. Steak was perfect with no burned taste, cooked to the exact doneness, the onion strings did not taste like rancid oil, and the fondue was tasty. My waiter was super attentiv; his name was Tony. Thank you Tony and Jacques for a much better experience. I will go to the Saltgrass in Grapevine again. We both learned a good lesson. Kudos to Tony and Jacques for really caring about the customer. Workers forget that when the customer is happy, everyone is happy. I, too, work in the service industry and as an employee that is my motto. So thanks again. read more

We recently stopped by this location in Grapevine on a whim late one night. Our waiter, Tony, was humorous and energetic. Our food came quickly and was prepared to our specifications. My fiancé had the burger with fries, and I had the small filet with grilled shrimp and fried onions. First, we LOVE Saltgrass. This time around, though, they fell just a little short in the bar. The drinks weren't bad, they were non-existent, as in out of everything we ordered. Jerry, the waiter kept having to break the bad news. But he handled it well and the rest of dinner went beautifully. Given the rocky start with the drinks, Jacques, the manager, took care of our appetizer (something I consider a real pro move under the circumstances). I visited Saltgrass in Grapevine on 12/12/25 for a late lunch. Table 40/1 @2:28 p.m 6/60019. Our server, Matt was very welcoming and greeted us with a smile. He was very courteous, knowledgeable and informative. He answered all questions about the menu items. A couple of questions that we asked about alcohol, he was not sure about, so he quicky went and found the answers. He was very patient as we took our time making decisions. Our lunch came out in a timely manner. We had the prime rib and a carry-out pork chop dinner. After we finished eating, Matt went to get boxes for our leftovers. While we were waiting, another server named Johnathan walked by and just stopped to see if we needed anything, or if we wanted him to take our food to be boxed to go, and he was not even our server. When Matt returned, he thanked us for dining with Saltgrass and asked what we had planned for the rest of our day. We complimented his patience and manners. We told him that his parents did a great job raising him. We requested to speak to his manager, who was Jacques. We told Jacques how impressed we were with Matt and told him someone at Saltgrass had obviously done a great job of training him. Jacques was equally as courteous and respectful as Matt was. He was very complimentary of Matt's performance. He was glad that we were happy with the service and thanked us for dining with them and asked us to make sure we come back soon. I forgot my drink and left it on the table. When I realized it and went back in to get it, the table was being cleaned. Another server walked by and told me that he would get me a new drink. I eat out a lot and was actually going to Perry's on this day; however, it was booked, so we decided to go here. Many servers these days have not been trained well, act like they don't want to work and don't really care about providing good service. I'm glad that I went to Saltgrass in Grapevine. It was one of the most pleasurable dining experiences that I've ever had. The food was great, the overall atmosphere and service at this restaurant was impeccable.
