My family and I came on Christmas Eve for a large family gathering. My kids sat at different tables with other relives and Katsue (our server) was supper nice to us. We sat in the bar and made Happy Hour 3-7PM! I was really impressed with the service, food & drink options for HH. $5 Dark Horse wine was my choice & we decided to order off the dinner menu. I vowed to go back with Friends for HH 1/2 price appetizers that look really yummy; like their fried mushrooms, shrimp or queso with brisket! There's more to choose from but these stood out for me! Before I could get the above review posted I did go back with friends to try their lightly breaded shoestring onion rings and shrimp cocktail; both were a hit!! We recently shared our 50th Wedding Anniversary with close family & friends at Saltgrass. The wait staff and management we extremely helpful, patient, and considerate with our guests. Numerous times, the wait staff (Rylie, Nayeli) and management (James, Enrique) came in to check on us and asked us if we needed anything. The staff was able to store our tiers cake in the walk-in fridge while we were all eating so that it stayed fresh & chilled. James made sure to ask my daughter about her dairy-intolerances and to make sure he understood what they could & couldn't do from a cooking perspective. He was really understanding and helpful. Additionally, when we were meeting with James to plan the menu for this party, he mentioned they could accommodate gluten- & dairy-free meals, which helped our family out. The meals were all cooked to perfection and our guests enjoyed all of the meals offered on our select menu. Do we recommend Saltgrass Steakhouse? Absolutely!! In fact, we cannot recommend them enough - from every day meals to larger events in their party room - they are the epitome of personable and professional. The food is great, better than most premier steak houses in Omaha . Salt grass is my wife and my favorite place. We like eating on the bar side. The service is great over there because of Sloan. He's an amazing young man, love that guy. Then comes along James, what a great guy. They make the dinning experience amazing. I will start by saying it has taken me 2 days before writing this , We had a 7:00 reservation we were sat right away at 6:50pm waited and waited for our waitress I wanted a frozen margarita they are so good there. Well, The margarita machine was broken, guess I will have one on the rocks by the time we finally got it, it would have been melted anyway. She took our order we came for the prime rib that they only have on Friday and saturday But they were out of prime rib at 7:00. So we were still waiting for our drinks. She brought us our soup which was cold and our drinks. once again she was gone. She keep telling us she was so busy ok ? Next time we saw her I asked for a glass of water MAN I guess that was a mistake she came back and slammed I do mean slammed my water on the table, our grandson just looked at us and said what was that all about. That is when I went to find the manager asked the 2 men who were standing around at the bar she's over there I asked the 3 employee's standing at the entrance, and there was the manager sitting having a chat with someone. I got her attention finally she came to our table "oh my gosh I'm so sorry do you want a free desert NO she gave us a new waitress. I guess my thoughts are 2 wait staff in the bar 3 at the door and 3 at the register and the manage sitting. Why wasn't anyone helping? We were just at the salt grass at the landing in Branson Missouri for 4 Straight evenings we knew what a class act they were even the manager was helping the wait staff, he brought us our food and stood there and had a chat with us. This is the second time i have ordered online and gone to pick up only to be told they didn't have an order for me, thier online system must not be working. Tonight after waiting 15 minutes they come back out to tell me they are out of what I ordered. I asked for my my money back. No one knows how to refund. First experience wasn't as expected, but the food was good so I will give it another chance in the future. Not sure if both the bartenders and cooks were new, but the issues seemed to never end. Asked for a watermelon Fresca and the taste I got was total lime. Not a hint of the ingredients listed in the menu. After speaking with one of the managers & switching to a different drink that I mentioned wanting mint, he didn't hear that part and brought out the new drink with wilted mint leaves. Plus, they don't muddle mint in their drinks. None of them, even when I changed my drink to a mojito. Then the meal ended up missing pertinent ingredients that were listed in the description of the item on the menu. Instead of cooking it fresh, I just asked for the parts missing be brought out to me - with all the mistakes, I didn't want to go that route. Once the meal popped up on the list of many issues, a manager came out and apologized for all the problems & didn't charge me for the drink. I walked in on crutches. The host was sure to seat us at a close table. He pulled out my chair and made sure I was comfortable. Our waitress was very sweet and quick to serve. My mom and I visited this location for lunch one day. The staff was very nice, and our server was very attentive. She brought our drinks and took our orders within a few minutes of sitting down. Our food arrived quickly and served hot and fresh. My mom ordered a salmon Caesar salad while I ordered the hot Nashville chicken tender sandwich with fries. She really enjoyed her salad, and I enjoyed mine as well. I wouldn't necessarily call it hot but had decent flavor and messy. I think it's kind of expensive for what we ordered. I've been going to Salt Grass since I was little & have always loved it, to start off their bread & butter is amazing. I've never had bad service at any salt grass I've been to but this one I've had exceptional service. the brisket queso is such a good appetizer & I highly recommend it! Also they have a fantastic lunch menu, lots of variety & delicious meat dishes. I can't decide on a favorite entree.. whether it's their chicken fried chicken, or their steak & shrimp combo plate, or their delicious burgers, grilled chicken breast, I could go on & on. I absolutely also love their salads! They're always fresh & also one of my favs to get a good salad at. The restaurant has a beautiful southern rustic architecture. It feels very homey which I love since I'm from the south! The manager at this specific establishment is beyond helpful, kind & amazing. I watched the waitress go from table to table, seeing us, but ignored us. After 45 minutes, and pretty thirsty, we just left and went next door to Firebirds. Originally the music was very loud so we asked to turn it down and they were happy to accommodate. Food was delivered quickly, hot and as ordered. Despite being a steakhouse, no one in our party ordered steak. Our table ordered the chicken friend steak, grilled chicken, grilled salmon and shrimp and artichoke pasta, which was mine. First, we made reservations for 4 for 4:30 for a booth. We arrive and we were promptly seated, in a nearly empty restaurant, at a TABLE with 4 chairs, in the back. When I reminded them we reserved for a booth, we were told by the 17/18 year old greasy haired kid that " they were "very busy" and couldn't accommodate a booth; They have been surprised by house busy they have been after the holidays". . It is January 5. We roll our eyes, whatever. Peruse the menu, order a bar cocktail (Long Island iced tea with peach syrup). And a beer. Rest of us get water. They come, she asks if we want appetizer orders. We say no. She says she will bring bread. 15 minutes later, we have bread with an apology that they are "running late and so sorry it wasn't done yet." In. No big deal. GREAT BEER BREAD! It was the best part of the meal! While perusing the menu, we are having difficulty because things just don't look good. It is varied what we get: a Ribeye Rare, with potato soup. Soup flavor was good, soup was cold! Yes, cold! Steak was good, but needed flavor! The chicken fried chicken ordered with broccoli was delicious, warm, although lacking a sufficient amount of gravy, it was good and broccoli was perfects. Now, to the $32 REDFISH with burnt Brussels sprouts. And the $36 Cajun Ribeye with burnt Brussels. The Redfish was waaaaaaaay overcooked! Would have been confused with chicken!! Spice was excellent. It was so dry, it went 1/2 uneaten. The salad was cold, crisp and delicious with ranch dressing. The Cajun steak.... Rare to barely medium rare. Should have ordered it rare . But the Cajun seasoning? Nothing. It must have been the crawfish with the 1.5 pieces of shrimp on top that made it "Cajun". I had to add salt and pepper to flavor it . How disappointing for a fricken $200 bill with tips! The server, for lack of a better word, sucked! She was young, improperly trained, and never checked in but once. Am I harsh? Yes, for this kind of meal, we should have gone to Outback for a prime rib. The Long Island Iced tea was "Texas Tea", with barely any Coke and forgot the peach syrup. It wasn't boozy like it should have been.... Tasted all of sweet and sour. We won't return and cannot recommend! Not unless you want a $40 bread and cold salad read more
