Sunday Brunch Buffet! I finally got to try the famous Salty's Sunday Brunch. (Reminder to make a reservation) Food (4/5) - $99/per person! (coffee, tea & sodas included) There was alot of variety! I loved the variety and there were definitely some really good dishes but personally for me it was not the seafood that i enjoyed that much, it was the other food stations that made up for it. I like the pasta and omelette bar (made to order), their dessert selection + fondue definitely makes up for it. Service: from the host to the buffet staff and our server was great! our server was attentive and very kind! Ambiance: (5/5) I do feel you're paying more for the ambiance so make sure you have some great company! :) the view was spectacular.
Book your reservations for the Sunday brunch buffet people!! Places like this are what makes my Seattle trip one to never forget. For $99/person (for adults) you have access to all the crab legs, shrimp, prime rib, oysters and many other types of seafood that you want. They have a beautiful assortment of desserts, all that were delicious! They have chefs on line to make your own omelettes and pastas. Everything I had was fresh and cooked to perfection. Friendly staff, they really have a way with making you feel welcomed to the city. You get a nice view of Seattle's skyline over the water as well. I enjoyed being able to try new dishes with the quality of it being top tier. Highly recommend this place.

Salty's in my heart and mind remains the most iconic, award winning all you can eat buffets in Seattle and the selection of seafood, main and side dishes, waffle, prime rib, and pasta and omelette bars and desserts is one of a kind. Be sure to enjoy a plate of premium hand picked Jack Bailey oysters from Hood Canal that are named after the grandson of Gerry and Kathy Kingen, owners of Salty's. Our servers were attentive and refilled our drinks and came regularly to clean up the table. The views of downtown Seattle are like none other as you sit in front of endless plates of great eats!
Salty's on Alki is simply AMAZING!!! We checked in for our reservation and were promptly seated a few minutes later. The view was awesome, 80 degrees outside, blue skies. And then the buffet. Sunday brunch is a buffet, drinks are extra. Where to begin.... I walked around to see what are my choices, then I headed to the oysters. Juicy and plump, they are from Jack Bailey's farm and especially and only for Salty's restaurant, I was told. Then prime rib. Nice medium rare and tender. There were crab on the buffet too, my daughter's favorite. Pasta station, cooked to order, with fillings like lobster, crab, baby shrimp, mushrooms, tomatoes, etc.... So many choices. A waffle station. A hot food station but I didn't go there, eggs, bacon, sausages, potatoes,etc... a salads station and a desserts station with fresh fruits and a chocolate fountain... enough to satisfy any appetite and cravings. Our server John was excellent: on point, knowledgeable, offered to take our pictures...Juan promptly cleared the plates . There was a Photo Booth downstairs too so you get souvenirs photos printed right away for take home. And a deck outside to take pictures of the Seattle landscape. I would recommend Salty's to all people going to Seattle.
$500 bill and the food was a 4 out of 10. First, I want to give a shout-out to our waiter, Dane. If not for Dane, our entire experience would have been much worse. Pros: Clam chowder Oysters The view Dane's excellent service ******CONS CONS CONS***** The $175 crab leg dinner came with mushy mashed potatoes and green beans. My scallops were the size of a quarter and so salty I couldn't even finish one. The seafood trio appetizer was soggy. *******************************The biggest issue, however, was what happened during dinner. An elderly woman at the table next to us had an accident and unfortunately SOILED herself. While we understand that wasn't Salty's fault, the way management handled the situation was unacceptable. ******Two managers looked over the railing to make sure nobody was below, then proceeded to SPLASH AND dump two buckets of water just a few feet from our table while we were eating. There was water splashing everywhere, and given the nature of the incident, it was extremely unpleasant and inappropriate to handle it that way so close to guests. Dane apologized and was very professional throughout the situation, but management never approached our table, never offered to move us, never offered a dessert or any gesture of goodwill, and never acknowledged the disruption. This is a Health hazard, you can't hurdle buckets of water at a pile 3 feet feet guests eating, without removing everyone dining near and using gloves and the proper chemicals for this type of situation. No gloves, no masks, just 2 mangers with a bucket. For a $500 meal, we expected far better food and far better management. Unfortunately, we won't be returning, and we won't be recommending this restaurant to others.
Great experience here! I went here during lunch on valentines. I definitely recommend coming here for an occasion because the view was amazing! Large windows and it oversees Seattle! There's plenty of seating inside and it's well organized and decorated. The service was very good! We had a very nice, helpful, and funny server. The food didn't take long to make at all. The prices aren't as terrible as I thought it was going to be. I had their Chili Garlic Prawns and it was SO good. Portioning is very good too! The shrimp was cooked nicely and the sauces on the avocado toast was very tasty. I also had their calamari which I enjoyed a lot! It is on the saltier side, but they included lemon slices which helped a lot.
There is a reason this place is considered iconic!!! It IS!!! I made a reservation online for Sunday for the buffet! It was more than I ever thought it could be!! The photos were only a few of the 8 plates we had!!! There were so many choices, I got over stimulated at first! But prime rib, oysters, smoked salmon, king crab legs, puyallup scones, mini waffles, made to order omelets!!! WOW!!! It is somewhat expensive for the buffet, so... be sure to understand the pricing structure if you're into the buffet! Our server was so sweet and attentive to us! We really liked being spoiled by them!!! The place has the best views! Even though it was cloudy... made the city seem mysterious from where we were!! Amazing seating choices!!! I will be back!!! Free parking! Very clean restrooms!
What did I just walk into!? A feast in paradise! OMG... this was one of my family's very best Thanksgiving dinners ever! WOWWWWWW. I am not joking, exaggerating... or trying to be nice. It blew my socks off! HAHA I didn't want to go to a restaurant, but because I was making a traditional Thanksgiving dinner for my husband's family on Friday - I decided it was the best way for me to enjoy my family. I was seduced by the "no dishes to wash" concept. Side note (I later learned there were 10 dishwashers in the back that day at Saltys! Bless those people!) It was packed with a line out the door. When we left we asked if we could make a reservation for next year -- they said, "Not yet, but soon." They do sell out. They must make the entire year's income on this one day. The food- WOW, I don't have enough words. PHENOMINAL! Just incredible. The prime rib was PERFECTION! The fresh crab legs were melt in your mouth delish! I ate more oysters than my fair share. The stuffing was yum. Potatoes were important to me and of course fantastic. The desserts -- sell just see my video below. I loved the view and Emily our waitress was beyond kind. I loved her infectious happiness factor. She made our day extra sweet, taking pictures and just fussing over us. We sent a drink over to a lonely man eating by himself -- which seemed to light him up! It was sweet moments all around. We went for seconds and thirds and had a blast. The view was gorgeous. The staff was all so sweet, full of smiles and kind -- making everyone's day so bright. OHMYGOD go to Satlys! It's remarkable.
Well I really wanted to give this place a 5 star, the only problem was service was a bit lacking. We were living our best greys anatomy life and taking the ferry around the bay and had lunch reservations at this place. It's an easy short walk from the ferry terminal, great views of the city and the actual restaurant is a bit dated but I mean the views are what drive the diners in. We arrived a bit early and we seated after wait a few minutes, no big deal, was easy enough. We had pretty good seating in the rear or the restaurant with giant bay windows looking over the sound and Seattle. Spectacular views. Like I said the decor is a bit dated, but you're paying for the view 100%. It was lunchtime so we had the lunch menu. We started out with cocktails, wine and a dozen fresh oysters. The were absolutely delicious, like damn, I'll take another dozen good lol. Our waiter seemed to be a bit overwhelmed and took awhile for our drinks to come out; no biggie. The restaurant maybe had 10 tables sat at this time, so gave a bit of grace. He seemed rushed everytime we came to the table and once our cocktails and wine were dropped off after the oysters arrived we had to ask him if we could put our mains in before he rushed off. I ordered the seafood chowder- it did not disappoint. Full of bay scallops, shrimp and crabmeat, was absolutely delicious. Player 2 ordered the cioppino , i was barely able to take a picture before it was devoured. Absolutely taste bud tantalizing. The dessert menu was meh, crème brulle for me and raspberry sorbet for him. Nothing to write home about. For a cute date night or a great view of the city, this is a good spot to stop. Just expect to shell out a little extra for the view.
EVERYTHING. Runs like a well oiled machine. Staff was on point. Best view in town. I ordered the Scallop and shrimp entree ($56). I leaned toward my granddaughters and said "You girls are so lucky that your Mom lets you wear makeup and get your nails done at this age." My DIL then exclaimed "Mom -- YOU'RE the one who talked me into letting them try makeup a couple of years ago!" My response: "Oh look, a seagull!"
Came here to try their famous AYCE brunch. The hostess, and all the people serving were great. The ambiance was so airy and light with all the windows and the view was amazing! My favorite foods were the dungie crab, shrimp, clams, and desserts were sooo good! I would pass on the oysters personally. They just didn't sit well with me as far as taste and freshness. I also kept finding shells from shucking it as i ate it. The server I had was okay, but when I sat down, he kept asking if I wanted a drink. I told him I did, but I need time to think about it. It was also 9am and I hadn't eaten yet. He kept coming back frequently asking if I wanted a drink and then almost took the drink menu away. I had to tell him that I was still thinking about it. That was the only thing that bothered me during my visit.
This was our first time at Salty's as we were visiting from Minnesota. We rode by on our bikes and decided to come back for dinner since it looked like a nice fine dining spot. When we arrived, we asked to sit by the window to see Elliott Bay, but the host said "not really" and didn't offer to let us wait for the seating we desired. We were first seated next to a big group, which made it hard to enjoy the view, but after asking again, we were moved to another table. Thankfully, our server Nash saved the night. He noticed our frustration right away, replaced a dirty napkin without hesitation, and gave excellent menu recommendations. His professionalism and thoughfulness really helped to turn things around. The food was excellent--our Alki Trio appetizer, Herb-Marinated Swordfish, and Bulgogi Roasted Chicken were all spot-on. The decor is wonderful, with hanging fish, soft lighting, and candles that set a great mood. If this review were just about the food and Nash's service, it would easily be 5 stars. But first impressions matter, and the host team needs to match the level of the kitchen and servers or they will lose customers.

Great waterfront view, excellent food and service! Perfect go to for special occasions and with friends and family. Everything is good but particularly the sea food. The bread was an excellent starter, warm and toasted where it should be with fluffy butter (not those cold blocks that destroy the bread we've all experienced). Came here for the first time. And even though we had a reservation it still took 20mins to get our table. Our server Cameron wasn't attentive, after he served the food he never came back until we started standing around looking for him. To get the check and a box to go. My sister never got a refill on her soda, luckily they gave us all water. Now the food so was so good. I ordered the Louie Louie salad and it was so big I couldn't finish it. I would classify this as a restaurant with a great view, mediocre food, and not-great service. We won't be back. Made a reservation for Sunday brunch and arrived on time. After we checked in, we were told to have a seat and wait; the host/hostess promptly forgot about us; we noted that they seated folks that came in after us that did not have a reservation. Dining partner checked in with the host/hostess 15 minutes after our reservation time, after seeing five other groups get seated, and 20 minutes after our reservation we were finally at a table. We requested a view and were seated at the second tier - view was good from this tier but not as nice as if we'd been at the glass. We had a lot of fun watching all the maritime traffic coming and going from the Seattle waterfront, but I had a pretty limited view and had to keep turning around to see what dining partners were talking about. The food was edible - which is why this is two stars - but not great. Both cocktails were too syrupy sweet and we used all the lemons that came with our seafood to balance them out. The fried trio of shrimp, calamari, and a crab cake got our hopes up - it was pretty good, crispy and hot with two very tasty dipping sauces. Caesar salad hit the minimum required bar for Caesar, but it sure didn't match the excitement of the description "artisan romaine, preserved lemon, buttery croutons, house dressing" - more like fresh but standard romaine, , crouton crumbs from a foodservice bag, reasonably good dressing, and ... being generous ... maybe the lemon was ground into the dressing? or waved over the salad? Seafood chowder was terrible - probably one of the worst we've had in Seattle - overthickened, gloppy and pastelike, all milk, flour, and the occasional potato, no fish taste, barely any bacon taste, not enough salt. It was truly mediocre. Fish and chips - on the bright side it wasn't drowning in batter and it was hot; but the cod was overcooked, tough, chewy, and greasy. Fries turned almost instantly soggy. We didn't enjoy the seasoning on the fish, either. I had the Cascade scramble "roasted forest mushrooms, roasted red peppers, asparagus, chive boursin cheese, grilled sourdough" and it was like watery scrambled eggs that needed flavor and salt, with boiled, not roasted, vegetables. if there was any Boursin in it, it was minimal. You know it's bad when you want to ask for hot sauce or ketchup (I salted generously.) Part of this restaurant's character is a massive pepper grinder, bigger than a baseball bat, that the poor waitstaff have to lift and grind over your salad. Yay, fresh ground pepper, but I would recommend regularly wiping down the bottom of the pepper grinder as it was looking a little ... built up. And then we sat our table for 15+ minutes, empty plates in front of us, waiting for the check. read more
I made a reservation here for my wife's birthday dinner. We were warmly greeted and led to a table with a great view that was decorated with a birthday card and some swag. Very nice touch! Our waitress was very attentive and even though they were pretty busy for a weekday evening, she kept our glasses full and removed empty plates quickly. I looked around and saw the attire for the evening was across the board. Some folks were very casual in board shorts and summer dresses while others wore business casual. No one looked out of place. We had oysters and calamari for our appetizers and both were fantastic! Shortly after finishing our main courses were delivered. I enjoyed the halibut and my wife had the cioppino. Both dishes were delicious and the portions were just large enough to leave room for dessert. We enjoyed creme brulee and really had a great time. This is a restaurant to put on your short list for a special occasion or just a great dinner. The views are spectacular and parking with easy to find just adjacent to the restaurant. Enjoy! read more

Came here for dinner on a work trip. This is such a great restaurant sits right on the water and would have had no idea about if a friend who is a local put me on to it. It was gloomy and a little rainy but I still enjoyed it. I'm sure on a nice day it would be beautiful. The food was delicious , service was great we walked in upstairs , went around the bar inside downstairs to the patio in the back and sat outside it was wonderful. Ok folks - after what seems like about 5 years - the best brunch buffet in Seattle is back! Was overjoyed to attend Father's Day brunch this year as they start getting their season legs back. Found our way to the best corner table, and waited on by 'the blond' as she calls herself - a 20 year veteran of the institution. Drinks, hot towels, plate clearing all impeccably attended to by wait and bus staff. The buffet?!?! YOU WILL LEAVE LONG BEFORE YOU TRY EVERYTHING! (Unfortunately). Great Benedict's, carved prime rib and hams, oysters shucked on demand, piles of crab and shrimp, not to mention omelette and pastas made to order with lobster, scallops, crab and shrimp. Crème brûlée, hummingbird cakes, and probably....30 other deserts? Not counting the chocolate fountain. Still one of the best waterfront views, easy parking, and staff that are as happy to be there as you are! It's a little speedy, but I have ZERO REGRETS taking the family of 5! read more

The food was delicious and our waiter Ben was great. A spot opened up near the window immediately after we sat down and he was able to move us there. The coconut shrimp was really good. The food was absolutely outstanding. Every dish was crafted to perfection, bursting with flavor, and beautifully presented. Our guests couldn't stop raving about how delicious everything was! We had assorted seafood and it was simply wonderful! The desserts were amazing! We had a few left over and people were fighting over the last few mini-cupcakes (not your ordinary cupcakes!) they were works of art! What truly set Salty's on Alki apart was their stellar staff. They arrived right on time and were incredibly attentive throughout the event. Each team member was friendly, professional, and eager to ensure everyone had a fantastic experience. Came here for the view, but was amazed at their food! We're from Portland, and we do have our own Salty's, so why eat here? Because of the view of the Seattle skyline. We had their mixed appetizers with oysters, kimchi, squid salad, shrimps for $75. Portland has a similar item for $100. We also got more oysters! Both of these came to our table with great presentation, with smoke from dry ice. And yes, the view was excellent! read more

I started my visit to Seattle at this restaurant and I'm so glad I did! It has such an amazing view and amazing staff. I booked a reservation ahead of time asking for a nice seat with a view and they were very accommodating! The food was amazing, fresh, and delicious. The manager even brought me their signature white chocolate mousse cake as a to-go gift on the house for visiting their restaurant to start my trip. They even gave me more recommendations for other places around the city as well. Would recommend this to any local or someone visiting the area. read more

Food: Excellent! My dining companions and I had the raw oysters, calamari, salmon salad, and cod with butternut squash risotto and everything was fabulous! I started with bubbly and we drank a red with dinner. Service: Laura is the best. My friends usually sit at the bar and know her from there, but since she was on the dining room floor that bought, we asked to sit in her section. She was terrific, very personable, and knowledgeable. Ambiance: It truly doesn't get better than this. Excellent views of the city!! The only critique I can possibly give is that the lit Christmas trees that were still up in February blocked the gorgeous view. read more

It was an incredible 34th anniversary celebration for my wife and I. When the reservations were made I was asked if it would be a special occasion and I told them 34th anniversary. We were visiting from Palm Springs and were hoping for a great night July 7th . All I can say that everything from beginning to end was way above expectations :) . Amazing views. I love Alki area the water front view is absolutely gorgeous. There's plenty of parking in the lot. I was sad they don't do their famous brunch buffet anymore, but they said it's coming back on Sunday's in November. The staff were super friendly and it was great seeing some of the same staff that use to work there years ago. The food is still just a delicious. I got the steelhead BLTA. It was so good. I'll have to come back for one of their famous Sunday brunches next month. read more

Had reservations with my family for a weekend brunch. Started off with the calamari and oysters, both exceptional. Calamari cane out with an aioli, fried to a golden crisp and seasoned well, oysters came out with a raspberry mignonette. I ordered my go to for brunch, a classic eggs Benedict. Surprisingly there were no hash or potatoes served with this, but it was just the right portions, I probably would not have been able to finish my food if there were any sides accompanying my Benedict. For my mimosa, the champagne tasted as if it were left at room temperature, rather than chilled, but that doesn't stop me from having another. For dessert we shared the white chocolate raspberry cake, which was delightful. Not too sweet, and big enough for the 4 of us to share. John our server was fantastic. Rumor has it they're going to start back up the weekend brunch's on Sundays. read more

A great place for special occasions or entertaining out-of-town guests. The views are incredible and the seafood is perfectly cooked. Highly suggest making reservations for dinners. I got the black cod saltimbocca during my recent visit and it was really tasty. The risotto was well seasoned and the a bit different while the fish was super tender. For appetizers, we got the calamari, tahoma clams, and halibut croquets which were all good. Portion sizes for entrees depend on the dish you order so I recommend ordering some appetizers to round out your meal. read more
If you want an immaculate view of downtown Seattle across the bay, Salty's is the place just for you. It is a seafood restaurant, but for this non-seafood eater, it was a pleasant experience. There were not many non-seafood options but I went with the Salty's half pounder. This was a very good burger! The meat wasn't anything special. But the fluffy, buttery bun mixed with the Tillamook Cheddar cheese, raw onion, tomato, pickles, and mayo made an irresistible burger. I did leave off lettuce because lettuce is a waste of space on a sandwich and takes away flavor from other parts of the sandwich. Yes, lettuce adds crunch but what else? You can add bacon for an upcharge. Mustard and ketchup have to be requested. My picky stepson had the kids burger. After a few bites he told me this was one of the best burgers he had. The kids burger was just as big as the Half-pounder except without the toppings. As good as the burger was, the fries were even better! They were thick and beer battered. My party ordered the TKO potatoes as well. They are small potatoes with some kind of seasoning and served with Miso White BBQ sauce. I think they meant Alabama White BBQ sauce (Roll Tide!). My wife had the Salmon Caesar Salad. She enjoyed it. I actually tried the salmon and thought it was all right because it didn't taste like fish. My party finished with a White Chocolate Raspberry cake. The cake was light, fluffy, and let the toppings stand out. It might have been the best thing at Salty's. So if you are a non-seafood eater looking for a burger or dessert and wanting a view of the bay and Seattle, Salty's is the place for you. read more

Classic seafood dining in a waterfront setting with spectacular views of the Seattle skyline, Salty's Waterfront Seafood Grills is a local institution in the Pacific Northwest. With two locations, one in West Seattle along Alki Beach on Harbor Avenue Southwest, and another in the city of Portland, Salty's Waterfront Seafood Grills specializes in classic fresh seafood served in fairly large portion sizes. If you are a resident of Seattle, then you have most definitely been here, and if you are an out-of-towner like we were then you have certainly been hosted here. Arriving on a warm Sunday evening for a large family dinner we sat immediately thanks to the reservations we were able to make the evening before. Despite being such a venerable institution, at one-page the menu at Salty's Waterfront Seafood Grills is surprisingly brief as it is separated into categories including To Start, Soup & Seafood, Entrées, The Butcher's Block and Surf Your Turf. To start, some in our party wanted to sample arguably Washington state's most familiar seafood entrée, their oysters. And their Freshly Shucked Oysters, which were three dollars an order and served on a bed of ice and with raspberry pink peppercorn and a wedge of lemon was the perfect way to start our dinner. For our main course, I ordered their Grilled and Glazed Alaskan Sablefish which was served with pork belly fried rice, and topped with shredded Napa cabbage and shiitake mushrooms, ponzu dressing and chili crisps. Others in our party ordered their Pan Seared Scallops, which was served on top of three saffron potato croquettes, and topped with a combination of frisée, radicchio, pancetta vinaigrette, matcha butter, and pomegranate molasses; their Grilled Wild Salmon which was served with a side of smoked jalapeño rice, and topped with grilled corn, sweet onion, fennel, arugula and bourbon stone fruit bbq glaze; their Lobster and Prawn Bucatini which featured a combination of sautéed prawns, Maine lobster meat topped with saffron cream sauce and pecorino, and their 12 ounce Pepper Crusted New York Strip Steak which was served on a bed of garlic mashed potatoes a side of prosciutto wrapped asparagus, and topped with demi-glace. It wouldn't take too long for our food to be brought out as we took in the bayside view and vibes, but we did notice that there was not a basket of bread to be served. Once our food did arrive, there were some of the heartiest dishes that we have enjoyed while staying in Seattle. My Grilled and Glazed Alaskan Sablefish was the perfect combination of sweet and buttery as my fish was perfectly cooked and tasted as if it were a butterfish, and when paired with their combination of fried rice and fresh vegetables, this dish was the perfect Asian fusion entrée for the tastebuds. I was able to sample both the salmon and the scallops and they were both prepared so wonderfully that I expect all of their entrées are prepared with such style and substance. For our dessert portion of our meal, our server was alerted ahead of time that we were celebrating a special anniversary in our party and they were not only nice enough to pre-sign a postcard signifying the specialness of our meal but they gave our party a slice of white chocolate mousse raspberry cake with a candle on top to make a wish. I only wish this meal lasted longer as I can only imagine what it would be like sipping a handcrafted cocktail and one of their many Happy Hour items served in their pirate waterfront themed bar. With decently priced meals, I can see why Salty's Waterfront Seafood Grills has been thriving for four plus decades. May their legacy continue to grow and may their food continue to be so deliciously prepared for another four decades. read more

For breakfast & lunch I would tip 15% myself, assuming the service was good. Dinner is 20%.
Does the weekend brunch come with any drinks?
Yes. Brunch price includes regular basis beverages like coffee, OJ and water. If you want sparkling water or alcoholic beverages or cocktail (or non alcoholic cocktails) those are separately charged.
How much is the Sunday brunch?
Its on their website yo. Adults (14years+): $62.99. Teens (9-13years): $29.99. Kids (5-8yrs): $14.99. Children under 4 are free. Seniors (65years+): $54.99. Saturday brunch is slightly cheaper for adults at $57.99, with no senior discounts.
Are dogs allowed in the restaurant?
Dogs are not allowed in the restaurant and I've never seen a dog outside on the patio.
