Same Day A/C was the company my home warranty assigned to my service request (this was the second A/C issue in about 45 days). My service request was done by a company (that will stay unnamed). They wanted to charge me, even though my warranty covered the service, they replaced a part a "supposedly" filled my Freon (it was empty). I had a home inspection the following week and the vent temperature difference between my intake and output were only about 10 degrees. HMMMM...fascinating since I supposedly had my Freon filled. Fast forward a few weeks and 109 degree weather arrived, needless to say, the heat wave took a toll on my A/Cs performance and I called for another service request to my home warranty. THANK GOODNESS they didn't assign to the same unnamed company and instead Same Day A/C came out. What a difference in professionalism! He said my intake/output temperature was not satisfactory, he said I only had an A/C unit with 1/2 filled Freon. He filled it, put a sealant with it and VOILA - the temperature difference on my intake/output is 17 degrees!!!! I utilized their services on one day this week for heating annual tuned up, they also ended up replacing a part that was worn and happened to have an air filter washable in my size. That went well and he showed me that my air ducts were very dirty. As a result I made an appointment with someone else in the company for the next day. On the next day during the early part of the window Moe arrived and did a superior job cleaning my air ducts. They were very dirty and it looked like they had not been done for years. Quoted me several thousand dollars to replace a furnace under an American Home Shield warranty. I like to understand all my options, so I asked AHS what their cash-in-lieu-of option was and AHS sent me a cash-in-lieu on the basis of repair as opposed to replacement. I told AHS if repair was an option then I would like a quote for repair. MS Services refused to quote a repair and refused to do a repair, which is fine. But then, rather than simply telling AHS the truth -- that they did not want to repair the unit -- they told AHS that my heat exchanger leak pre-existed my warranty. I have had this warranty for a full year. There was no basis by which to determine when the leak started, as they did not think it was "pre-existing" when they came, measured only 1ppm at the vent, and they never came back after their first visit. I am reporting them to the highest exec at AHS I can find and everywhere else. Buyers beware: This is not an honest vendor and will engage in fraud rather than doing the right thing. Note that they also do business as MS Services in Hayward, CA, when they are working for AHS. Both businesses use the same phone number. Update: AHS called to tell me they declined the vendor's claim that my condition was "pre-existing." read more

These guys are great. Great scamsters. Greatest.Of.All.Time. A little bit of history is warranted here - please read. MS Services has been the technician of choice for my home warranty company, AHS. There were enough signs of suspicion, but lets blame it on my naivete. Since the whole summer of 2019, they determined pumping Freon (toxic for humans, bad for the environment, but $$$), in spite of the fact that it was leaking a month after the re-charge, was the best solution. After I pushed for a proper solution, Nidal came over one afternoon to give me a quote for replacement of the whole unit (~$10K), categorically telling me that my warranty will not cover replacement and only will plug the 'leak' (doesn't help that AHS customer service has a hold time of 45 mins). In the middle of one unbearably hot night, called AHS who quickly picked up and agreed to do a replacement once MS Services writes a report. Took them enough time (after pumping Freon 3 times and quoting me a full out-of-pocket replacement first) to write that report. AHS sends the condenser unit and the evap coil per Nidal's specifications and they install it at the end of September 2019. There is still an out-of-pocket (~$4K) from MS Services, but when I compare this new invoice line-by-line to the one they sent me a month ago, everything has a 30% markup suddenly! When I point that out - I am offered a 'discount' but asked for a 5 star rating on yelp! 2020 - first week of running the unit, water starts leaking through my roof. One diagnostic after another, and guess what - MS Services has installed the wrong evap coil - there is a 4 inch gap from the side panel door! All the water is dripping down onto my furnace and into my home. Not only that, it's a classic Mickey Mouse job - the evap coil isn't even installed properly - it is just resting on my furnace and has tilted over. You know what they should have done - ordered the right specification - but they didn't care. Ordered a replacement when they discovered it is not the right one - but they didn't care. Installed it properly - but they didn't care. Now my furnace is soaking, has rusted, may leak Carbon Monoxide with young kids in the house. MS Services doesn't care. read more

UPDATE-Nate from Same Day did contact us. They offered to solve the issue with the undersized breaker which we had already taken care of ourselves. They have also offered to provide free duct cleaning which we did take them up on. While this is all reactive, we are glad that we were finally contacted. I would still be concerned with their installers and urge anyone to validate that the existing wiring and breakers align with any new units. I have updated our rating from a 1 star to a 3 star. Same Day AC was contracted by our home warranty company to replace and upgrade our AC. Everything seemed to be going well until install day. 1-they showed up to install without an appointment. We have a duct cleaning scheduled for the day they arrived and "just decided" to add it to our appointment. We were not prepared and the entire install was chaotic. 2-after install we, as the homeowners, noticed that the unit required a 50amp breaker. They used our existing 30amp breaker causing the breaker to constantly trip. The installers and their boss that they called said that wasn't their problem. 3-we requested to speak to the original estimator who guaranteed there would t be any additional charges. We spoke to the office 3 times requesting a call back with zero response. Our warranty company also has made attempts to rectify with this company with no luck. 4-the contractor did not pull a permit which is required by our city. If they had, it would not have passed inspection. We have filed this complaint with our city as well. This company clearly only cares about the sale and not the customer. I would not recommend using them for any service. read more

I had same day heating and air to come to my home for an inspection. The technician they sent out never opened up the furnace, checked the air filter .He only looked at the air compressor . He recommended that they could fill it up with air refrigeratant but was no sure if I had a leak in the system. He suggested that I wait a year and call them back to see if any of the refrigeratant leak out. I ask him if he could seal it and he was not sure, he told me he needed to check with the office and give me a price. I received no break down of his assessment and no receipt of my payment. The company sent out a survey of the service technicians visit I descibed to the company my experience but they never got back in touch with me. This was not a good experience for me. I had another company come out and they did everything I expected in a service inspection. read more

Very happy to have met Andre at Same Day. Another company installed a brand new A/C, and then failed to correctly install the necessary upgrades to our furnace, resulting in the furnace seizing up mid-July in a 100°+ heat wave. I called Same Day Saturday morning, and Andre had the problem sorted out and a solution already in the works by the end of his visit that Monday morning at 9:00am. I will say, I called no less than 15 other HVAC companies, only one of which even ended up calling me back (the same people that put us in this position with their sh*t install, who couldn't even be bothered to apologize for the inconvenience). The parts are even under a manufacturers warranty, but we're so hot we've decided to pay out of pocket in order to correctly solve this breakdown. Andre was on time - early, in fact - bright and early Monday morning, he was polite, professional, courteous, and he did a wonderful job explaining to a dullard such as myself exactly wtf was wrong with our HVAC system. He had the parts already ordered and shipped on their way to us within 30minutes. He was able to schedule his return visit within three days of his first visit, which is nothing short of a miracle in today's post-COVID world. As a bonus, he called me about an hour after leaving to let me know he'd discussed everything with a few other pros, and they suggested we also replace one other part as it likely was the primary culprit in the failure. Honestly I don't even care what the result of all this is, because I'm already pleased as punch to have found Andre AND Same Day. I will literally never call another company for HVAC work again. We had our air conditioning go out in the late evening, and due to it being 95+ degrees, I filed a claim with our home warranty immediately. We were assigned to Same Day Air Conditioning, and I am so happy we were. I got ahold of them first thing the next morning, terrified of how long we would have to wait to have a technician available, due to first day after a holiday weekend and a current heat wave. They were able to get someone out this afternoon (same day), within the 4 hour window given. Gabriel came by, fixed what needed to be fixed, and we are back up and running.
