Lion World Café is part of a larger breeding facility and, in addition to the fact that lions should not be bred into captivity as entertainment, they don't care about the lion cubs or treat them well. The cubs can be seen from a window in the front of the store as an attraction to get customers. The enclosure has nothing for the cubs to play with or entertain themselves except for a ball and a log, and they can be seen pacing constantly. Healthy lion cubs love to play rough and would not allow people to pick them up and hold them. The cubs at this cafe don't play rough, seem to always be tired, and don't fight back when they are held. More care should be put into taking care of them. This place does NOT deserve them.

I ordered rice but hesitated for a moment since it was my first time there. When I asked about the Hawaiian chicken, she bluntly responded, "It's just teriyaki chicken." When I asked if I could try it, she became agitated and angrily explained that it was a plate, not a bowl, and would be different. I decided to try it anyway. She proceeded to cut the chicken into smaller pieces, and I ordered my toppings. Payment and Service: When it came time to pay, they asked, "Do you want anything else?" We replied yes and ordered drinks. The total came to $48. I paid by card and left a 15% tip. The food was handed to us with no "thank you" or acknowledgment. Food Quality: The rice was extremely hard--like break-your-teeth hard--and was challenging to eat without risk of dental damage. However, the chicken and other veggies were very good. Overall Atmosphere: While dining inside, two more customers entered, and none were greeted. There was no friendly atmosphere, and we joked that either the employees hate each other, hate their job, or simply hate customers. Final Thoughts: I typically write positive reviews, but this experience needed to be shared. If you work in a service business with the public, you should be a people person. If you're not, perhaps consider finding a different job. Everyone has bad days, which is why I still left a tip despite the poor service and feeling like I was a bother rather than a welcomed customer. My money and time are valuable to me. Next time I have the choice to eat there, I'll take a hard pass.

Sami's what can i say about this place. The food is great and the gals working the place are super friendly. So why am I writing a review. Because I need to know... who owns a breafkfast/lunch resturant and has it closed on Saturday and Sunday. It is a disservice to the patrons and the people that work their. The weekends are the most busiest time and I am sure those workers don't want to look for a different job. What I have to say to Sami is open your doors on the weekends or find someone you trust to run the resturant while your at home with your family. With you closed on weekends, just means patrons will look else where to eat. read more

Sami's Café is one of my favorite places to have lunch. The vegetable soup is homemade (not from a can), and if you pair that with a grilled cheese sandwich, it's delicious and inexpensive (especially if you get water rather than a soda). They'll even make your grilled cheese sandwich "dry" (no butter on the grill--fewer calories and crisper bread). Just ask. If you come here often enough, the staff (including the owner Sami) will quickly get to know you, too! And now that the restaurant has been expanded and renovated, it's better than ever. read more

The owner is very disrespectful to women, even referring to them as "split tails" , that was just the beginning. I asked about MSG and was assured nothing on the menu contained any, yet when I paid I could see the bottle of Tiger seasoning, which is MSG! His dishonesty is going to cause someone to get really ill. read more
