We were greeted at the door and seated right away.by Israel. We look over the menu ordered are drinks, then I ordered the Club sandwich on rye with fries well down, my husband ordered the Chicken Penne Pasta with a Caesar salad. My sandwich was excellent but the pasta dish the chicken was dry but other wise it was good. The restaurant was clean and look the pictures on the walls for the decor and they have music from the 50's play inside the restaurant. Israel was a great server, friendly and attentive. I had not been here since it left the IHOP franchise. I heard it was the same owner . The service was exceptional unfortunately my strawberry pancakes were terrible the canned stawberries were old and fermented tasteless the actual pancakes were delicious l sent them back just to pretty much get the same topping even though the server said it was from a different batch ( meaning different can). They need to fix that problem so many fresh fruits out there especially strawberries in June they are in season c'mon fellas serve something fresh! read more

Do you like BOYSENBERRY syrup on your pancakes? This is the only spot that I can find with BOYSENBERRY syrup after the local commercial pancake places stopped providing it. Love this spot! Saw this place on Instagram and immediately craved the pancakes. We headed down and were greeted by a great bunch of employees. From the door to being seated and finally to our very lovely waitress. She provided us with suggestions and answered all of our questions due to it being our first visit. The food was fresh and in extremely large portions, we could not finish. Coffee was good, I usually like a tad stronger. But that isn't going to stop us from coming back and having some new breakfast selections the next go around =) Again, the service was great. I came here for breakfast with my family. If I recall correctly this used to be an IHOP. My Sil has been here before and recommended we come here to eat. It was busy when we got there but we were able to get a table after a ten minute wait. This is what we ordered. Mom-Senior Sammy Breakfast combo Stepdad-Sammy Breakfast combo Brother-Chicken filled crepe and Cheesecake pancake combo SiL-Strawberry crepe combo with turkey bacon. Me-Steak omelette with hash browns and pancakes Overall everyone enjoyed their food and would like to come back in the future. Only down side is it was a bit pricey. Came in on a Saturday morning for some pancakes and an omelet. Ended up going with Sammys pancake ,hashbrown ,and bacon and cheese omelet, wow!!! This is hands down the best breakfast in town!!! Pancakes fluffy, hash browns cooked just right and the omelet with bacon pieces in it just really treated my taste buds! Our server Kate was incredible, attentive and took the time to explain the different menu items . Kate came by several time to check on us and refill my wife's coffee and my water. I must say come to Sammys for the food and stay for the awesome staff from cooks to the hospitality staff, and be sure to ask for Kate! read more

Went again today, absolutely! I had a farmers omelette you can't believe what's in it and it was delicious. took 2/3 of it home can have it for two more days very reasonably priced. I've never once been disappointed by this establishment. In my personal experience; Rain or shine, busy or slow, the quality of service has never been compromised. I've been to make so-called "pancake houses" that have good food, however their pancakes fail to make them worthy of the title. Sammy's however, can do it all. You want epic tasting pancakes? 10/26/25 I had breakfast here this morning for the first time. It was a good experience overall, the only thing was my omelette was kind of dry. It barely had cheese and the egg was not fluffy. The pancakes were a little over cooked. The place was clean with fast service. It was not bad. read more

A solid 3.5 stars but I will bump it up to 4, for our waitress was nice & the food was up pretty decent. I'm always on a lookout brunch spot for my parents. The biggest reason we were drawn to this place was because Sammy/s Stackhouse has a menu for the Seniors for 55+. We came here at 12 noon on a Sunday & this joint was packed. We were told the wait was about 30 minutes. NOTE: Make sure u stay nearby the entrance to hear your name get called!! We were waiting near the streets in the shade for my dad was in a walker due to his knee surgery. Inside there was no seats for him to sit down at. So being outside, I did not hear my name get called when the hostess came out. 25 minutes goes by, I started to notice those who arrived after me all got seated! So I quickly brought my parents inside to wait, by that time there really was no-one was waiting around inside. We sat there & waited another 5 minutes. One of the waitress asked were we helped & I told them we are on the list waiting. So she said Ok & left. Then I started to ponder... I checked with hostess & she said she had called my name. Since I didn't respond she marked me down as a NO-SHOW. So far that, sorry I have to dock a star, especially when my dad was in a walker! After we were seated, service was pretty good. We got our coffee refills & when my parents get that they are happy. Such a fun little place for breakfast. Parking was easy. Place looked very clean both inside and outside. They have a daily specials' board right when you walk in. Being October, pumpkin pancake special was on it. Got seated quickly and got coffee and water right away. Kate, my server, was terrific. She was also training a very nice young lady who was wearing a red (training?) shirt. I asked about a couple of things on the menu and decided to go with the daily special for my visit on 10/11/23. Two eggs, two sausage, hash browns and two of the pumpkin pancakes. Asked for the hash browns extra crispy (as you know that I do) and they did get that correct, please see photos. Decent size portions, cooked well, and a good price point on the special. It did seem that some of the regular items were a dollar or two more per entree than I am used to seeing, but I will reserve judgement on that until I go back and have a regular priced menu item. I felt bad for Kate, there were two separate couples of older people there in tables near me, who seemed to be a bit rude. Just in the way that they spoke with her and was kind of dismissive in their attitude towards her and the trainee. But Kate and the trainee were great, took it in stride, never let it faze them and they kept smiling. And continued to give great service to everyone else. Hey people, can we please just remember that the wait staff are real people too? They didn't cook the food themselves and are not looking to "get" you or pull one over on you. Of course, mistakes happen, or the eggs were cooked for 30 seconds too long for your liking. You can still send the eggs back and not make it a personal attack on the servers like it was done on purpose. Sorry for the rant, but I was a bus boy, a server and a pizza cook a long, long time ago. And I remember what it's like, but it does seem more common now for customers to be rude instead of informative of an issue. I will be happily coming back and trying some more things on the varied menu. I will update this post and hopefully give this place a 5-star review after a couple of more experiences here. They seem to have sorted out the food quality issue I mentioned in my last review. Not sure if they have a new cook, or the one that is there was retrained. The service was fine. The food was fine. I do have a few things that do need to be addressed. 1. We were the only customers in there. Is there a reason we were seated right next to the kitchen sink? All the other tables were open. Yes, you server will have to take a few extra steps, but that first table should be a last resort. 2. You have posters in the windows stating that all menus are 10% Off. However it was not automatically reflected on our bill. In the end we presented the 10% Off Coupon we had received on our last visit. If you are gonna advertise, it should be automatic. read more

Place is ok..not really a breakfast person myself. Had that old time feel you want in a breakfast place in my opinion. Coffee was ok. The waffles were not great, little dry, definitely frozen waffles, and they weren't that hot. Pancakes are better and they come with more food, which I don't understand. Think the scrambled eggs are something like McDonald's, or they just pour a premade liquid. If you asked for eggs to be made other ways than scrambled they will be real eggs. They're a little small, but whomever cooked the eggs did it the correct way I asked. Of course they're under-seasoned, but most of these places do that because of elderly clients. The hash browns were the ones that are shredded, and even those didn't seem fresh they were good. Think the staff were nice and attentive. This isn't the place I would keep coming to for breakfast, though I do understand why people like it enough to come back. read more

This diner is not worth the money. Very overpriced, small crammed restaurant. Service was ok but food was mediocre, sausage tasted like it sat in a tray of sausages for a couple of days, mushy and salty. Located on the corner the diner has a very nice outdoor area and typical "diner" layout inside. The staff was very friendly and we almost have just missed the lunch crowd. We ordered breakfast for lunch. Pancakes, sausage (friend), lingonberry crepes, hashbrown, 2 scrambled eggs, and well-done bacon. I had the coffee, sprite (friend)and water. Came out in a timely manner and everything tasted pretty good, except the crepes for some reason tasted "off" a bit, or maybe it was the coffee or who knows? *this is MY opinion, i am not saying that it was spoiled* Either way, everything else was great and the place was super clean. The place wasn't busy, and I could see why. The food wasn't the greatest, and the service was OK until it came time to pay the bill, and they took off with my credit card for 15 minutes because their machine wasn't working, and I ended up having to pay cash. I love good "hole in the wall" breakfast places, but the food was just bland. In this case I think I'd rather just go to a tried & true Dennys or IHOP. read more

Nice looking Updated menu. Had dinner last night with my girlfriend and the food and service was great as usual, specially since we always go at times when there aren't a lot of people. It's nice to go at these times because it's quiet with less people in the restaurant because it is a tighter fit being the building is I'm guessing an old IHOP given the A-frame construction. Our food came out quite fast and was delicious. One thing I liked was I never had to flag someone down for more water our waiter always kept up on if I needed more. read more

We have had breakfast here multiple times and it never disappoints. They waitress are all so kind and friendly. The food is delicious. We always order the kids Mickey pancakes , French toast , and hash brown. The parking lot is a little tight but nothing crazy. It's usually not busy during the weekday.
