We arrived at 1pm. Go to the hostess and she tells us that it will be 25 minute wait. Fine we go to the bar, but as we're entering the main area there is nothing but empty tables? Tons of people are waiting to be seated. We finally get our table but I had to go and ask for a wet towel to clean off my seat. It was down hill from there. Our appetizer was cold. They did however take it off the bill. The service was really, really bad. The food was bad. Mrs. Red band was awesome though!!! If I ever go back it will be to drink and listen to music. read more

This was our first time eating here, and overall we had a decent experience. It took almost 15 minutes to even have someone ask us for our drink order. We hadn't received drink menus, and when we asked for one the waitress seemed annoyed. It took another 10 minutes for her to return, so we decided we better order both our appetizers and main dishes while we had her at the table. 20 minutes later our main dishes came out-missing our appetizers. At that point we just had them cancel the order. The watermelon margarita and crab legs were delicious. The corn was over cooked. Great food and a terrific atmosphere. Their servers are very pleasant and will take the time to talk to you give you great drink and food suggestions. The quality of the food is very good and they certainly don't scrimp with portions. My only criticism would be the amount of time it sometimes takes to get your food. Don't go there if you're looking for a quick meal. It's also EXTREMELY busy around sunset and it will take you some time to get a table, so plan ahead! read more

Last Sunday my wife and I along with some friends went to Sam"s at about 3 in the afternoon. We asked for a table outside on the deck but were told they only had seats available inside under the roof. We all sat down, ordered drinks and appetizers. While waiting for our order to arrive we were freezing with the wind blowing off the Gulf. We asked our server if they could lower the plastic rollup to cut down on the wind. She asked the manager on duty and was told to tell us that "It wasn't cold enough to lower the plastic. Meanwhile every server in the place was wearing sweatshirts or hoodies to keep warm. We told her to cancel our order because we were not going to sit there for over an hour freezing. You lost out on a minimum check of $300.00. Never going again read more

First time visitor. I live in the Brooksville/Spring Hill area and had never gone before. My kids said I would like it and they were right. Very laid back atmosphere and on the water with nice views. It was a breezy day and my wife and I ordered drinks. I got the hurricane and my wife got some peachy drink. Both were good and I got a glass to keep with mine. The food was served hot and in decent time. My wife had the grouper bites which she liked and I had the pizza which seems popular from looking around. Many other people had ordered it. I liked it and we enjoyed our dinner. Waitress was nice and checked on us more than once. We will definitely come back to Sam's. read more

Service was slow. Had to look for our server way too many times. But the worst part was we got so sick from the food. We ordered raw oysters and Rockefellers. By the time we got home all 3 of us ran to the bathroom and were in bed or the bathroom for the next 24 hours. That was the only food we ate and we all ate the same food. Plain and simple...GREAT VIEW...GREAT FOOD...GREAT SERVICE. Granted it was a sunny but a cool 60 degrees on a Wednesday afternoon so we had a great seat on the water. This was the worst experience that I have ever had eating out in my life. Upon being sat at a table, the hostess asked 3 people sitting to move out of their chairs and then sat me down and stated that they were too busy to find me an available seating arrangement. I felt really embarrassed by having these people stand up from the table because I found this to be completely peculiar and unexpected. Furthermore, these uprooted guests proceeded to glare at me even after I offered seating to them. Eventually, a man reluctantly sat down but stated that he did not wish to speak with me (yes, those words). This was the start of my seating before the meal arrived. I had a server take my order, a server bring my drink, and a separate server bring my food. This was not VIP service, this was the blatant act of the staff passing me off like a logistics error that they didn't want to deal with. I could never identify who to ask for a drink so I just tried to sip slowly to avoid being absent of anything at all. Eventually, this got even worse, when I returned from the restroom and noticed that they sat two women at my table in a communal type behavior. The women looked as if I did not belong there and were notably hostile although I hadn't even received a bill or checked out yet. I tried to be friendly but this was an extremely awkward encounter because I never expected to be sitting right next to someone I didn't know upon returning from the restroom. I was only seated for maybe a half hour at this point and could not engage in the call on my phone and felt like a wart in the side of this unexpected company which promptly drove me to leave. I tipped well because I am kind but I will never return here again.This was too odd of an experience to ignore and the food had clearly sat before I received it given the sogginess of the bread and the room temperature of the meat. We LOVE this place for ambiance and the food but today May 25th we were not happy diners. The special of the day was pulled pork sandwich with fries and jalapeño coleslaw. My GF was skeptical about the slaw. She is not a fan of spice and it tears her stomach up. The server was happy to let her try it before we places our orders. She tried it and it was not that spicy but a few minutes passed and she could feel it would be bad for her stomach. We called server over and asked what it could be swapped out with. He stated sweet potato fries or side salad. She went with side salad but when the salad came out with my burger the pulled pork was not brought too. We asked server where it was and he claimed that we cancelled it. We said no we just wanted to swap slaw for salad and he got an attitude about how menu states NO substitutes (it was on menu but we asked what could be done about the spice which is when he said a side salad). If that is the policy then the kitchen needs to have regular slaw as an option. The salad he brought had onions which she also has trouble digesting. Then when the sandwich came it too had fried onions (not stated on menu). Overall this was a very disappointing experience and likely our last time we come to Sam's until a few changes are implemented. The place is great and a few tweaks could make us remain regulars. (Options for those who have issues with certain foods and exact descriptions of what's coming on the specials) My girlfriend went to manager to discuss and only after that was anything done. read more

Food and drinks here are great! They have some good views from their tables too! Service was excellent, but they wouldn't go out of their way for you. Example - I wanted to a table by the water for the views and it was 4:45 pm so they said they cant' seat anyone due to the rain or something like that -- and so we moved to a table a little farther way. 5:01 pm someone walks up and they seat them... next to the water -_-. Would have been nice if they were like "Hey -- I know you really wanted a table next to the water and asked me 15 minutes ago, but it is open now and we would love for you to be able to do that" (Also, just note, the area was empty. My family & I went there for a late lunch. First, it was not crowded so we got a table right away. We then waited almost 20 minutes before we had a waiter. I had to ask a passing waiter if we have one. Then we finally got waiter & ordered. Food was nothing great. Average same ole bar food for the price. We spent a lot of money on food & drinks. The waiter rushed us to close out. So we paid then stayed longer to watch the band that was setting up. Well, we sat there yet again waiting to order some drinks but no one came to table so we went to bar & ordered drinks & spent more money. All of a sudden the manager came over & told us we can't order drinks from bar & they need our table for other customers waiting. He was rude. So I grab a waitress & ask her if she's our waitress & she said yes. So I said why haven't you come over to us to serve us then she said they need table for other customers waiting. I said we didn't know we couldn't stay for the band & sit at our table that previous waiter closed out on us. So we just got up & left. Bathrooms are disgusting also. Don't waste your time & money. Great place right on the water. Very beachy feel. Large menu for food and a decent selection of brews. Easy to get a table maybe because of covid but we got one out back almost in the water! Started with the BBQ sausage bites. Made with their BBQ sauce. Very tasty but sweet. Could eat these things all day. The cheese queso was really good to dip as well. We also had a bowl of the Lobster bisque which was delicious but maybe needed a little salt. I landed on the blackened chicken tacos. Really good portion size and very tasty. The combo of guac, pico and sauce made for a nice bite. Debbie had the ribs. They had the same BBQ sauce on them and they fell off the bone. Good stuff! Walked into the most disgusting woman's restroom should have left then! Both of us ordered grouper and it had terrible blood veins which makes the fish taste terrible. We sent it back and the woman server became very nasty.She brought us new dinners but they were worse!Grouper is market price it's a mild white fish that's why we order it. When at the hotel we ask where is the closest water to see the sunset. She told us about 6 miles down turn left to Hudson a place called Sams Beach Bar. Well we found it a large place right on the water. There was picnic tables got a table right on the edge,so we had nothing in our way. We ordered a Greek pizza and a beer. We watched the fishing boats going out one after another. A guy out playing on his jet ski. When our pizza came the toppings were very good but the crust was pretty hard. While we were eating two little dolphins came right up to the pier and was playing for a few minutes and they swam off didn't see them again. Our waiter was very friendly. This was a fun place to be and watch the sunset and they have live entertainment. read more

It was fried (not an issue) but the breading was soggy not crispy at all. It tasted like it had been fried earlier and then reheated in a microwave. The potato wedges that come with the sandwiches/burgers weren't seasoned at all. They might have been good if they at least been cooked with some salt and pepper or anything. The nachos weren't terrible, but definitely overpriced for what you get. $12.95 for the base nachos, then another $5.95 for ground beef. There's plenty of free parking available. read more

I really wanted to be able to write a review that says the food and experience was better than last time; spoiler - it's not. The location is 5 stars. The food is improved. However the service left something to be desired. Out 16 year old waitress was sweet. But absolutely uncaring that I was served a drink in a nasty cup. If you eat here make SURE the cups and plates are clean. :( The menu pleads with people to not steal salt packets. No joke. Sounds like the place is dying. If so, hopefully someone with some experience in delivering good food on clean dishes takes it over. So much promise. But truly one of the grossest dining experiences I've had in a long time. Update: apparently they hadn't changed the dish water in a while. Oops sorry. Still billed the full amount for a drink I couldn't drink. A replacement did eventually come... but I really didn't even want to try it. read more

The view here is probably the best in town, it's absolutely gorgeous around sunset. The best place to sit is at the tiki bar by the water, you'll get the best service. The food is good but a little pricy, you're mostly paying for the view and ambiance. read more

We were staying at the hotel right next to it so it was very convenient, our server was friendly and attentive, she recommended us a couple of new beers to try. I'm staying locally with some family we haven't see in a while. Although there isn't a lot to do in Hudson, this seemed to have been a promising little stop. I enjoyed my time here. The staff was friendly, the environment was clean (for the most part), and the food was pretty good. I got the Cuban sandwich and it was good. They even sat me as close to the water as possible without the sun in my face. I had a good experience. read more

We've visited the park several times over the past few weeks and been exposed to some really bad singing from the live entertainment. Sams has been our go to place for years now. It's quite a distance from our home so I guess we haven't been there in a while. We were looking forward to our visit recently. The restaurant has been nicely remodeled with new tables, decking, and umbrellas. Our friendly waiter took our drink order and handed us our menu. "What happened " my wife said. The menu shrank to nearly nothing and now they serve pizza. Who needs another pizza joint ? We picked something from the little list and it was 'good' not memorable. Its a nice place and you'll be ok if it's your first time. We probably won't make the drive. read more
