I was strangely disappointed by the service that was provided by every worker we had an interaction with. Everyone seemed to be disinterested or did not know the answer and did not try and get the answer. They way items were priced were weird because you have three items in the same area with pricing placed in the worst of areas. The person checking is out explained a discount and that we could not get it because I had bought it in the previous 30 days. I explained how could that be possible then began to repeat herself. Not impressed by the service but it was the closest option. I am reconsidering renewing my membership this coming year. read more

Bad experience after bad experience. Ultimately we canceled our membership. The store it self wasn't a problem. Allow me to explain. I placed an order online for a bed.... Well tried to. For some reason the order wouldn't process so I called and spoke to a representative. She was able to help me compleat the order. Apparently she also reported my card lost. We live about 40 min from the SAMs club location so and knowone on the phone could do anything. This means EVERY payment had to be made by phone. My online account was frozen and the automated phone system Said I had a zero balance which wasn't true. I also didn't get statements because I turned off paper statements. I seriously had to call each month, wait on hold, explain the situation EVERY FREAKING MONTH to make a payment. It was a good 30/40min out of my day each time I needed to make a payment. I went to the store yesterday. I am not a member of Sam's club, but wanted to see if they had a 1 day pass to see if I liked it (Costco used to do 1 day passes). I wanted bird seed that my friend had told me because it was a good deal there. I was told that they do not do 1 day passes, which is fine. BUT, the lady who assisted me (I wish I would have gotten her name), just stood there staring at me like I was an idiot. Instead of helping me figure out a solution, or even trying to sell me a membership. The rest of the cashier at customer service looked at me like I was nuts. I left the store with a bad impression and will take my business elsewhere. This is NOT acceptable business practice. I ordered some rings from Sams Club back in January, it's almost June and these guys refuse to give me an update. Every time I ask if they arrived they always walk around my questions and avoid me. When they finally responded to me, Vanessa told me they will call me once it arrives, they don't do updates....It's been nearly 6 months! Ridiculous. This is the worst experience I had shopping. Sams club is not as busy as Costco, so I've joined the other side lol we have memberships for both Costco and Sams club. I'll be honest my Costco membership will probably not be getting renewed. Parking is not bad, I always find parking, even during busy hours and days. Plenty of parking, huge plus. They have self check out, speeding things up and making it convenient. Cashiers are not very friendly but the staff working the floor are super nice. A guy named George (I'm pretty sure that was his name) went out of his way to help me find what I was looking for. He even checked the back room for the items. Thank you george! Anything you may need in bulk they have it. They are always well stocked, with plenty of fruits and veggies, frozen items etc. They also have a good selection of supplements. Another huge plus of sams is the food section doesn't take as long as Costco. You can order your food and it will be ready in the amount of time they say. They are also organized and give you your food accordingly. They have a good bakery, order cakes 24 hours head. They also have the pharmacy. So the answer to your questions is: yes, I like sam's club over Costco. read more

The product selection is good. Sams club has a great selection for commercial food operations. Jewelry selection is wider compared to Costco. The biggest downside is the service. It took us 30 minutes to get a new membership card. We had a web discount card that needed manager approval. The associate at the counter paged several time no response. She went looking for the manager who showed up after a while. They definitely improve customer service. read more

I started doing a lot of shopping here lately due to the membership that my girlfriend. I actually like sams club alot. I'm able to buy alot of things in bulk here that i absolutely need. Toilet paper, toothpaste, deoderant, razors. Things that don't go bad but you can have a ton of it at a great price. Nobody needs a five gallon bucket of mayo but 5 sticks of deoderant is never a bad thing until you just finished up number 5. I do however like costco better. I feel that the quality of there items is better and there warehouse is much bigger meaning more variety. Liquor is cheaper here at sams club and if your having a big party this is definitely the first stop. I have yet to try there hot dogs like Bill C. but that would be a horrible experience warranting a 0 stars rating. I on the other hand have had some pretty good experiences. read more

I have memberships to both Costco and SAMs club but prefer coming here since it is not as busy so easier to come and go in a hurry. I normally come to before picking my kids up from school and usually an hour will do. Not today!!!! In line at customer service and it has 2 people working with one helping the same customer for the last 15 minutes! Now the guy in front of me in which seems to be another case of difficult is being helped. Wow it's my turn!! Dashing thru getting whatever I can on my list within 10 mins and 20 mins before the kids get out of school only to being 5th in line to check out. That's a long line considering this is a bulk buying and everyone seems to have a cart full or more. There are literally 3 lines open when there are 13 check out lines. Omg do not try their next day pickup service. Probably the worst thing ever. I did it to save time and I would have saved more time shopping and doing it on my own. When you get there for pickup you have to go to a machine and scan your receipt. It took them 20 minutes to get to me and only because I went to complain. Then it took 20mor minutes to get my items and when they arrived it was not my complete order. I had to walk with them to the "cage" to get the rest of my order. By the time I was out over an hour had passed. Everything else there is good but their service is awful! read more

I have been going to this store for about 6 years now. Some of the staff are so friendly, and even remember my kids names and my family. However I had two experiences with other associates that have made me want to get a Costco membership instead. A few months ago I brought in a Sam's club insulated shopping bag with ice packs that my mother in law bought me and during checkout the cashier interrogated me as if I stole the bag. I complained to the manager and even offered a suggestion on how to distinguish between a customer bringing in the shopping bag versus someone purchasing it at the store. No feedback. Today I attempted to pick up a large box containing a storage cube that I purchased online, but it did not fit in my car. Mind you I helped the associate load the box in the car, and when we both saw it was not working out, I walked back in to ask if the item could be held for a few hours until I could return with my husband's SUV. A lady by the name of Anna basically have me an excuse that she had no place to hold it, and gave me no option but to return the item. When I told her I would have to return it, she just looked at me and said okay. I don't know about you, but I own a business, and I want to make money, not loose it. When I walked over to return the item the associate helping me was shocked to the reason why I had to return the item and said there was plenty room, so what do you make of that. I was in such a hurry that I left and then called a manager named Elaine to let her know what happened. She did say she would follow up, but I doubt it. After reading a ton of 5 star reviews of Sam's Club wedding cake, my daughter ordered one for her wedding at the Oxnard store. I was appalled when I saw it. It was very crocked and sloppy. One person said, "How nice a homemade cake." I was so embarrassed. I've tried 4 times to call and speak to a manager, and kept getting put on hold and the manager never comes to the phone. I've even left my phone number for the manager to call back and they did not. I finally spoke to the bakery manager today after waiting 15 minutes on hold again. read more

I should give MYSELF 0 stars because I keep coming here. I just want to punch myself in the face every time I leave the store and this is why: 1. Too many things out of stock. 2. Filthy bathrooms. Tijuana status. 3. Crowded as hell, but it's worse because they crowd the aisles with merchandise so you can't get around. 4. No employee knows anything about anything. 5. 52 cash registers and only 5 are open. 6. The managers don't seem too concerned about running the store properly. But I guess when you're getting paid minimum wage working for the corporate equivalent of Satan, why should they give a crap. How can I not have a membership here. My family and I have been coming for years! You can compare to Costco but they are both great places to go. Some similarities, but for me, it's just easier to go to Sam's. No complaints at all! Now they have that Scan and Go application where you don't have to wait in line!!! Sam's Club is not stepping up during COVID-19 crisis, but instead making crowds worse by reducing business hours. If employees need to restock and clean, just do that when store is closed overnight to help community, not take away business hours from customers to do this work. This makes paying extra for Advantage Plus membership a waste of money, the reason I pay up for this more expensive membership is earlier hours. I'm not going to renew, but rather switch to Costco. Other big businesses who have financial means are stepping up to help customers even if it means paying employees for more hours, but cheapskate management at Sam's Club is using this crisis as an excuse to reduce business hours and cause bigger crowds inside and outside of the store which makes social distancing more difficult for customers and takes membership benefits away from customers and inconveniences customers. Sam's Club is not customer focused, but just looking out for their own interests. read more

Today the system went down and we had to wait a lil over 30 minutes. As we waited employees were walking up to each one of us to show us how to scan and go from our phone the problem with that is they were not practicing social distancing they were not wearing gloves and were standing elbow to elbow with customers then moving on to the next. That is not right just becuase they are essential employees does not mean they are not carrying the virus. Also once the system was back on they let numerous people that were not in line get ahead of all of us that were patiently waiting. This is very upsetting and not right. I shop both Costco and Sam's club but favor Costco over all. Service is better at costco with more on task employees and usually quite informative. Also, it's a bit of a hassle for stop card services at Sam's because they take your money out without a renewal request.. so you need to time it right. like not shop at Sam's the last month before renewal. Ok, so yesterday I went to go pick up my order I placed online. and I've noticed the past four times that I picked up my order from Sam's club recently, that it literally takes 45 minutes or longer from the time I walk in to the time I walk out. And that's usually to find someone to ring me up and get me my order, and this is at the customer service desk too but you see there used to be a person named Jesus that did the orders and he was amazing, quick, and made it so easy you were in and out within like literally 10 minutes. But my issue is with the supervisors and managers at Sam's club in Oxnard because there were 4 ladies in customer service and not 1...not 1, knew how to work the machine to get the order printed out, or how to locate the order, let's just say it was all a mess. And the only person that supposedly knew how to work it "Joleen" was at lunch. So my review is the supervisors & managers need to teach every single person in Sam's club that is going to be working with customers picking up their orders needs to know how the system runs so they don't have to go looking for someone to help the customer. Because there needs to be more than one person to know the system, especially if you want it to run smoothly and to have satisfied customers because I wasn't the only person waiting for there order. read more

I called to see if they had portable air conditioners in stock before I drove there. The girls yes said multiple times. I asked again if they were the portables ones....with wheels. She again said yes. Drove straight there. Had to get a temporary card because I forgot mine. I asked the girl at customer service if she is the one I spoke to about the portable air conditioners. She said no. Got my temporary card and went off to look for the portable air conditioner. Couldn't find it so I had to go back to customer service. Hands down the worst pace I have ever shopped. I like Sams Club for some things and I luv scan & go but I have to drive all the way to Santa Clarita because I REFUSE to go to this store again. All employees are very undertrained and apathetic. The café is a joke. They are so slooow. It can take 20 + minutes behind only 2-3 people. And there might even be 3-4 employees back there but it's like watching the 3 Stooges. Not to mention the food is pretty bad and omg the sodas are always flat, out of ice, taste terrible. Now to the worst part of this place. Customer service. lol What a joke. These women are so inept its laughable. Especially the short older lady who is maybe Philippino. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE: On the evening of Feb 16 my wife and I walked in to get a price on tires for our 2014 Ford Explorer. Two young men were working at the counter with no customers in the tire display area. Never being acknowledged by the two employees, We walked through the tire displays and could not find the proper size of tire we needed. We walked up to the two young men at the counter who were obviously involved in an important discussion amongst themselves so we stood and waited to be acknowledged. Once we were, I asked one of them if they had our tire size only to be told no. Then the two returned to their conversation with no options for us but to go to America's Tires the next day to spend our $1000 plus dollars elsewhere. Costco might consider paying on commission and less hourly wage. Maybe these two young guys would care more about customer service? read more

Terrible I only became a member to get a paddle board, I looked around the place, and it wasn't worth to buy the membership. I got the paddle board and decided to eat lunch, the line wasn't bad. I said I wanted the family combo, and the cashier said it would be 30 minuets until it's ready! Then he said it normally is only 20 minuets! So I asked for a crispy chicken sandwich, he said we don't serve that anymore, even though it was on the menu, I got a pizza and left. I think that Sam's Club is a good club store for those that want to save money buying larger quantities of their everyday items without the need for a lot of selection of new things. Sam's also does not sell gas at this location. The store is pretty big, clean, and average crowdedness but a lot less crowded than others. read more

SHOP AT COSCO INSTEAD Wife bought something at SAMs it was to heavy and she ask for help loading it. She brought it back and noticed the window lift was damaged in her Jeep. She talked to the manager some fat little F@&! and he said they would pay for the part. She never heard from him again he never called back like he said he would!!! They denied the claim and said they weren't going to pay us for the crap they did. Had a great 3 tier cake but was super dry, offer no filling or offer the cake whip cream only butter cream. The gal that helped me did a great job in colors but again the cakes taste wasn't up to par. I think they should just avoid the 3 tier all together if so dry no one enjoyed the cake. Good thing the whipped cream cupcakes don't disappoint. For 60 people we decided to divide the cupcakes instead. Sad. read more

I purchased a membership through Groupon, which stated that I should receive a $30 egift card and a free item with my membership. Well I went into this store to find out how to get these items on 12/11/19 and Im still waiting. I went in again today, 01/06/2020 and was told the free item was loaded, so I got the item and went through the checkout and its not loaded and wouldn't be honored. I will stick with Costco and never go into this store again. The customer service is the worst. Not helpful at all. The only reason they got one star was because I had to mark it to post my review, otherwise they would have gotten no star at all! read more

This Sams Club location is just bad. This store has a POOR selection of produce and much of the selection is NOT grown in the US. Can't tell you how many times I've picked up a rotten bag of grapes, bell peppers, apples, avocado Brussels sprouts. So disappointing... the location is Santa Clarita is so much better. Me and my mother went to sams club to get some groceries one day, usually when a cashier is scanning your items your allowed to keep bigger and heavier items in the cart, but this employee named Kenzie told us that the cart has to be completely empty and we had 2 big heavy bag of salt for the filter, she rolled her eyes and as she started scanning our stuff she would aggressively shove the items towards us with such an attitude, she wasn't able to scan the bar code either for a pack of sodas and got upset, I didn't like the way she attended us, we've went to the sams club in canyon country and we're allowed to leave heavy items in our cart, some staff can be so rude like if you hate your job so much then don't work there, find something more suitable for yourself, there's always going to be pros and cons and everyone experiences something different but my thing was that employees attitude read more

This review is strictly on the food court food purchased on 12/12/17 at 7:20pm. Worst food possible, no where near the quality of Costco and their food is more expensive! We ordered a slice of pizza, a "chicken" sandwich and a hotdog with a drink. The first pizza slice they gave us had 2lbs of grease on it and when I asked for a new one the girl behind the counter was annoyed. I tried to get a drink and after 4 tries of no syrup or no carbonation I went up to counter to tell them the machines were not working properly. I hadn't even finished my sentence when this chick cut me off to say that one of their machines hasn't been working for a while. So that leaves the "chicken" sandwich. This was burnt on the edges and dry but soggy, cold and wet in the middle. My teenager spit it out as soon as she bit it and my kid will eat anything, when I went back a third time to complain about the sandwich the girl had had enough of me. Hotdog was mediocre at best. This is probably one of the worst food experiences ever. Sam's if you don't care about the quality of food you're serving, then stop selling this sorry excuse for food. read more

I went to Sam's today about 5 P.M. and I dropped my mom off in the front because she has a bad knee and has a hard time walking, I droooed her off I parked and when I tried walking in like I always have this lady at the door asked me for my membership and I explained to her what happened and she threatened me saying that she will remember my face and I won't be allowed in to the store at all. I was already mad about this, I've never had an issue doing that at all especially since my mom has a hard time walking. I told my mom what happened and my mom told me the same lady gave everyone a cart except her she pretty much refused to give my mom a cart and my mom had to walk all the way to the back to get it her self. That's when I got upset enough to write this review. I can say not all Sam's Clubs are created equal! It may be a demographic thing and I'm not judging. We bought a membership to buy a TV, the discount on the TV more than paid for the membership. We now use it for diapers and occasional rotisserie chicken (huge and cheap). Most other things I'm not into or the price is no different than a grocery just too much (this is no dif from Costco) for my choosing. We'll find things here and there but not really. Occasionally, we'll run into some friendly staff but not often. Some great TV options and they carry pampers! Health and beauty tends to be good also but the whole idea is really no comparison to Costco...Price Club to the OGs. read more
