This small sign business is operated by Aiina Khan. She has quite a strong personality and can get the job done. We actually had a nice sign put up years ago, and it's held up well over time. The one star is regarding a $1000 deposit she received from our business to create another sign. After some troubling news at our location, we had to cancel the sign order at which point Aiina had NOT started manufacturing our sign, as we had not finalized the artwork with her designer. Rather than refund the $1000, she kept it. Her argument is her designer spent an hour (maybe two) working with me to create artwork. The artwork was not billable. Sam's Signs, at least during our interaction, does not charge clients to create artwork. It's a service they provide to help create something impressive. To this day, after many requests for a refund, Aiina Khan, has simply refused to return the funds. It's headed to small claims court for a judgement. Please "like" this review if you have had an experience similar to this with Aiina Khan. I would find it hard to believe I could be alone. She is a bold operator and not afraid to keep funds, undeserving to her business. read more

I went 6 month ago looking to get a quote and I ended making business with them, witch I love the design the they did on my company car. One thing i do want to mention is that make sure get your quote on paper at the beginning so they don't come out with different prices witch was exactly what happen to me, but the owner she make work! I called them at least five times. Every time they told me to leave a message for someone who could call me back. When I finally got a hold of the person responsible for providing me with a quote, I was told to email them my designs, provide dimensions, and send a picture of a similar sign. I emailed twice and never got a response despite designing a PDF per their specifications and sending pictures with the exact design and took pictures of a similar existing sign. No response at all - a complete waste of my time getting the run around. I can't trust a company for a project when they don't even follow through. read more

This company was extremely difficult to do business with. At first, it took nearly 3 weeks to even receive a quote back. I should've known then that something was off. After they took a $2,000 deposit for the sign removal job, we didn't hear anything for nearly 2 weeks. After leaving 3 separate messages for the lady we were dealing with, I finally called and got her on the line only to find out there was a problem with the permitting process and they are unable to complete the job. The lady even had the nerve to tell me it wasn't her fault because she had done her homework. Umm what?!? I believe part of your homework is ensuring the city will issue you a permit for intended job BEFORE agreeing to do said job and taking money as a deposit. very disappointed that 8 weeks have been wasted waiting around for this company to do their research. Getting a refund for the deposit of $2000 was a whole other issue that took another week. Incompetence. I highly recommend against using them. ****response to your response: had we been informed that this was going on, we could've made better decisions. Aiina was not forthcoming with the information that was being exchanged between your sub contractors. Also, no she did not offer to do the job without the crane. We had the sign removed for a small fraction of what you were trying to charge and it was done within 12 hours. The communication was poor and the stringing us along was the largest issue. We can deal with the truth upfront, but months after a bid is accepted and a deposit placed, for all of a sudden 'oh no whoops, we can't do it this way after all' just doesn't sit well. Dear fellow business owner / manager. I loved working with this company. I talked with the design review person after sending a pic of what I wanted and they made it in 2 days, that is a neon sign. It's now hanging in our window at Hot Cookie. It is an ice cream sign with a pic of a cone with ice cream. Aiina Khan is a delight to work with and the communication was excellent. They are only 25 min from the city and well worth it. It's not that small of a company. They had at least 8 or 9 persons working when I picked up the sign. Very impressive company.
