Actual services rendered was fine but did not take proper safety precautions. I had an AC that was no longer keeping my house cool and kept freezing over. They came out quickly and diagnosed the problem and $250 later my house is nice and cold. However he did not wear a mask initially and I had to request he wear one. Also he left my gate open twice and my dogs got out and the one puppy burned his paw pads on the street's asphalt. Who knows how much that vet bill will cost. After posting my review the owner called me. He apologized for my dog and wanted to know how he was. He also said he would be addressing the mask issue. He also refunded my fee for the ac unit repair. I feel that this was generous. I realize that it was an accident and they have been decent about fixing the situation. read more

Cant say enough good things about the team at Samson and Sons. They have been honest and helpful every step of the way from servicing my unit to ultimately installing a new system on my house. Never did I feel any pressure to upgrade or purchase something that was unnecessary. I dealt with some of the other larger HVAC companies in the past and always felt like they were pushing me to spend more money than necessary to keep my system running. My hvac unit crapped out on me at 2am. I called at 7:00 am to have someone take a look at it. The tech was able to come by my house at noon, and 20 minutes later, the unit was fixed. Thank God! The service fee is $55 to come by and take a look, but if there's a repair, it goes towards the job, which I feel is decent. Another place quoted me at $99, and it didn't go towards the repair. When my phone call was answered, it was fast, professional. The tech who came by was fast and professional and super nice. Couldn't have been more happy. I called on a Friday, and they were able to have a technician at my house Monday. He was able to diagnose the problem and give me a cost estimate to resolve the issue. Since I agreed to let them perform the recommended service, they waived the $99.00 service call. He stated my AC system probably had a slow leak, as it was down 5lbs of Freon. So I opted to have the sealant put in to seal the leak (hopefully). I honestly did not call around, as I normally do, to get prices and talk to at least three companies. I just went with these guys based on their yelp reviews. I don't know what Freon is going for nowadays with most companies, but they charged me $100 per pound for the Freon. I do plan to call other AC companies to see how much they charge for Freon to see if these guys are even in the ballpark. I can say the technician was friendly and polite, and if you pay with check or cash you can avoid their 3% surcharge for using a credit/debit card. read more

I just had, perhaps, the best customer service experience of my life! I called Samson and Sons based on a referral from my insurance office (State Farm - Marianne at Melissa Tureaud's office). I arrived home yesterday after being gone for 2 1/2 weeks to a non-functioning AC unit. My house was 91°! I called Mark, the owner, who sent Michael and Dylan out to fix my AC. Although it was pouring rain, they came to see what they could do. Due to the rain, they were unable to get to the roof, but they (without me even asking) scheduled Jamal to come out today. Jamal arrived EARLY and set to work finding the issue. He very quickly determined that it was my thermostat. I happened to have a new, smart thermostat waiting to be installed, so he walked me through it so he wouldn't have to charge me for installing it. Called to have mini split looked for leaking inside. Was told $68 for service call which I said no problem. After showing up and seeing that drain tray was broken and needed to be replaced they took some photos and went it make some phone calls. They came back in and quoted me $450 for parts, flush and some other nonsense. Mind you they just flushed to see that tray was broken!! Anyway I said ok let's just get fixed and go from there. Called wife to let her know and she said wait we have warranty still. I was unaware and thought it was just parts at this point. Well I still had one year parts and labor on ac unit so it should not of cost me anything. They were getting paid from daikin to do job but wanted yo double dip. Our HVAC system died right in the middle of the heat wave. We called Samson and Sons, they came the next day and recommended we replace our antiquated system. They gave us a fair quote right then and returned two days later to install the system. Everyone was masked, although we did tell them that they could work unmasked as long as they were vaccinated or outside. They sent a sufficient number of workers to do the job efficiently. It was a big job in brutal heat, but all of the workers were friendly and pleasant. They clearly knew what they were doing. When they were done they cleaned up after themselves and showed us how to set the thermostat. They charged us exactly what they quoted us. There were no last minute add ons.
