They were very prompt in getting us a quote after measuring the house. After we accepted their bid they came out one more time to make sure all measurements were exact. They made the installation date and time with us. They had assured us one day to complete and they did that. This is an old house and they cleaned all vents, which were really bad. I'm originally from a cooler climate so when I woke up this morning to no AC I panicked. I checked Yelp and Samson & Sons had the best ratings. It was the obvious and only choice. When I called around 11, the soonest they could offer an appointment was between 4-6. I set the appointment and asked if they had anything sooner, please notify me and I'll make myself available. Within the hour the technician Dylan reached out and let me know he could get to me if I was free. Of course I said yes. He arrived within 20 minutes, just as he said he would. Dylan was professional, polite, and was able to explain everything he needed to do to diagnose my issue. After less than an hour Dylan was able to get my system running and I'm actually kind of cold right now. He let me know about the warranty policy, how to follow up with any issues, and explained the invoice process. I received and was able to pay the invoice with no issues and I loved the fact that I could tip him. If I have any issues again, or need to recommend a company for HVAC work, it will definitely be Samson and Sons! My AC stopped working on Friday. They sent out a technician same day to try to fix it. Jose went through several different things trying to get it to work. Unfortunately, my unit was 15 years old and died. He got me a quote for a new unit the same night and Mark the owner spoke to me on Saturday about getting the install done as soon as they could. Wednesday, Chris and Mladen did the work quickly and had my new AC installed. They discussed why things break, what can be done to prolong the life of the unit and took really good care of me. They offered a 5% discount for paying cash. Definitely recommend to anyone dealing with the heat during Arizona summers. I had tentatively decided to go with a different company for my AC/Heating install, but then Alex and Mark got on the phone with me and came up with an offer for an identical heat pump system as the other co. had quoted, but it also included the humidifier I wanted, which was not included in the other quote. The result was that I got the system with humidifier for less than the other co.'s price without the humidifier. The install day came, and although my space was very limited, the team, headed by Mladen, stayed until it was all in and working in the small space. After a couple of days I noticed something that was not quite right, and Mladen came out immediately and fixed it. Top-notch service. Our A/C stopped blowing cold air so we called Samson and Sons based on their outstanding Yelp reviews. When I called someone was able to come out the next day. Nathan from Samson came out during the promised window time and we told him what was wrong with our A/C. After going to the roof and looking over the unit he came back down and said it was all fixed and blowing cold air. He told us that it was a loose wire and that he fixed it while he was on the roof doing his diagnosis. When my wife asked what the cost was going to be he said only the $69 diagnosis fee! Nathan was honest, quick, and polite. I feel like many other companies would have taken advantage of the situation to charge us more for something we didn't need. This is my second review of Samson and Sons. We had a new HVAC system installed about 4 months ago, great price and service. The system recently had some issues (the actual unit not the installation process) I contacted Samson and Sons and they came out the same day!!! (on a Saturday no less) found the problem but had to order a part in order to fix the issue. The owner, Mark, called me personally to let me know they would come out again and add coolant if necessary till the unit was repaired. The unit was repaired within 3 days and is working fine. My husband and I were so fortunate to have discovered Samson and Son. Our small home's central air conditioner was not cooling effectively. We initially got an estimate from another company for a mini-split, plus an enlarged air return box was recommended for several thousand dollars. We then called Samson and Sons. Alex came out, spent quite a bit of time assessing the crux of the problem and ultimately recommended that we enlarge the air return box and cap the unused wall registers for a total cost of $550. On 5/14/24, Mladen, an installation manager, and 3 workmen (Quentin, Jaime and Chris) came out to do the work. They were friendly and so professional. They explained what they were doing before they got started and afterward they cleaned up completely. In addition, one of our daughter's dogs escaped and ran into the house or yard of a neighbor before we could catch it. We are elderly and the neighbor's loud and aggressive reaction was very scary. After a terrible experience with our home warranty company and the HVAC company they hired to fix our AC, we started looking elsewhere to pay for work out of pocket. We called Samson and Sons on a Saturday morning and they scheduled to come out that afternoon. They showed up earlier than expected, did a thorough evaluation of the problem and gave us a fair quote to replace the work. They came back an hour or two with a portable AC for us to use in the meantime. They were professional and empathetic to our situation. When it came time to do the work they arrived on time and finished quickly. The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is that they forgot to turn our gas back on when they were finished which I discovered after a very cold shower! But honestly it was a small thing and they were great. They fixed our AC problem in less than a week while our home warranty and their contractor dragged their feet for six. Oh my goodness Samson & Sons is AWESOME!! In May, our old Air Handler, AC & heat pump finally crashed. Because of the age and past repairs we knew we needed to take the plunge and replace it all. We contacted several places via Yelp, the first to respond was Mark, the owner of Samson and Sons, (his excellent first impression turned out to be because he operates his business with excellence). We met with him and then a couple others who responded to our messages. Mark's prices were unbeatable, don't get me wrong, we were willing to pay whatever we had to in order to receive excellent service and a quality product. So we asked lots of questions and did thorough research on all the details. The other guys were helpful and knowledgeable too but they just couldn't compare with Mark. The extra bonus was that Mark was not only 'hands on' but highly skilled and he also has an expert technician on his team. These guys make an unmatchable crew! Now nearly 5 months later, we remain thoroughly delighted! We love our new American Standard system. We are so happy we chose Sampson & Sons, every detail of this transaction, the installation, and service has been excellent. The quality of the product has also exceeded our expectations. And, compared to the other estimates, they saved us literally thousands of dollars. read more

My house has two different HVAC systems and one went out. I knew from when I bought the house about two years ago, that system was fairly old. I had three different bids and they all seemed pretty high to me but I went with Samson because their salesman convinced me that they could do the best job with installation. And, reading online, that seemed to be an important point. However, they ran into some issues with my duct work. Okay but that's THEIR job to take care of and not complain to me about. The salesman NEVER looked at the ducts or said anything about needing to check them. Initially, the system ran loud, with an almost running toilet sound. Also, the thermostat did not work properly and so, of course, the AC didn't either. And, somehow, they managed to do something to the pilot for my water heater and so I had no hot water. (The manager, Mark, did offer to send someone out because it was the weekend but frankly, I didn't want them in my house any sooner than needed because, at the time, I thought their next visit would be the last.) They had to come back a couple of times. One was to replace the thermostat and the new one, while more accurate, was less than easy to figure out. Naturally, there was no paper manual so I had to balance my laptop on my knee while I tried to program it. Samson ended up needing to put in another sensor in one bedroom because the thermostat just wasn't reading the temp properly. One time, their head tech was not happy with me being blunt. As I told him, I was not yelling, swearing or calling him names; I was just clear about my unhappiness with the situation. He told me, "Calm down." When I looked at him and said, "What?!" He tried to say that he DIDN'T say it (there was another guy so there was a witness) and only then did he apologize. I can't tell you how offensive it is as a woman to have a man come to your home and tell you to calm down. They had to come again to install some kind of boarding in my ducts to stop the noise. I had to give the thermostat company my email and other info in order to register the warranty. It also seemed to be a problem because I had no intention of using of its "smart" features. I'm not afraid of tech but I shouldn't need to give up more information than I want (and install an app on my phone) in order to set up the thermostat. The owner, Mark, came a couple of times. I know he was trying. He initially told me that he wanted me to "love" their company. After all this, no, I don't love this company. I don't hate this company. But I also think that if there are any challenges, they just get upset. As well, I would have been better off getting splits installed at half the price. To close, I spent a LOT of money for this system that only covers half my house. I would have thought for that amount of money it would work like clockwork and it doesn't. It takes a LONG time to cool that section (whereas the other side? works in like 15 minutes). Plus when I mentioned that the system seemed to struggle when I had people over my house, Mark agreed that yes, it would struggle if I had a party. I thought of saying something but that about sums it up. You'll get an okay system installed in an okay way at a very high price from Samson. One last thing is that Samson is not on the TEP list for you to get an energy rebate. You might want to check that out before you buy any system. read more

Actual services rendered was fine but did not take proper safety precautions. I had an AC that was no longer keeping my house cool and kept freezing over. They came out quickly and diagnosed the problem and $250 later my house is nice and cold. However he did not wear a mask initially and I had to request he wear one. Also he left my gate open twice and my dogs got out and the one puppy burned his paw pads on the street's asphalt. Who knows how much that vet bill will cost. After posting my review the owner called me. He apologized for my dog and wanted to know how he was. He also said he would be addressing the mask issue. He also refunded my fee for the ac unit repair. I feel that this was generous. I realize that it was an accident and they have been decent about fixing the situation. read more
