We walked in and proceeded to the back of the store where the groomer and the Banfield Pet Hospital are located. We walked into the groomer and were the only customers. We were greeted by a very cheerful Heather. Heather was just finishing the grooming of a poodle looking dog. She took the dog to the back and returned to us. She took all of our info. We did not have proof of rabies vaccination for Ozzy. Heather was happy to call our primary vet at the El Cajon Valley Animal Hospital to verify. Once that was complete, she turned her attention to Ozzy. Heather was so sweet. Ozzy is typically a bit skittish, but she was fairly comfortable with Heather. Ozzy allowed Heather to leash her up without fighting it or whimpering. Heather's "bedside manner" was fabulous. She had us leave Ozz with her and asked us to wait outside on the bench on the other side of the frosted window. She said she'd tap on the window when Ozz was finished. About five minutes later there was a tap on the glass. Ozzy was finished and her nails trimmed properly. No muss, no fuss. 12 bucks. We went to the registers up front to pay and we were on our way.

She recommended mixing in some kibble first to see if that helps before jumping into meds. I ended up getting a salmon-flavored dry food to try, and I really appreciated her honest advice. I have made two purchases from KW Cages. My first experience was decent. My second order has been a very frustrating experience. Regarding my store credit, there was no way to apply it to an online purchase. I tried calling several times to reconcile this via ordering over the phone or obtain some type of of coupon that could be used online, but my calls went unanswered over several days and later my calls were answered by an automated message saying their phone system was done. Because customer service had previously been favorable, I made the order online and sent an email asking for the credit to be applied. One week after the order was placed, and ten days after leaving my last voicemail with customer service, I received a call answering that message. The service rep, Dominique, was pleasant, but she could not help us with applying the credit. We had not yet received a confirmation of order or shipping notification, which we asked Dominique to provide. She said that would be provided and also said that the order would be shipping in no less than three business days, probably sooner. Instead, five business days later I received a notification that the items would be shipped the following day. KW Cages has quality products and if you order one month in advance, you might just get want you ordered when you need it.
