Dutch Crunch bread ..... gotta try it !
    N M.

Delicious deli with hometown flair. The Dutch crunch bread is a must try if you are new to this deli. Meats and cheeses are fresh. They do catering and I suggest placing your order prior to coming in or come in on off peak hours. At times there may be a line so pack your patience. Tinted windows which helps with the triple digit heat in Redding. Establishment is clean and lots of TVs around with SF Giants swag. There is a $2 off if you check in on your Yelp app! Look forward to coming back and trying a new sandwich.

Saddest flat sandwich ever. This and a thimble full of anti pasta was $22.50 this is only half but it was as thin as a panini. The used to have the biggest sandwiches in Redding. Sadly not even close anymore. I gave them 2 stars because it tasted good.

Mama Mia, added Avo Spread and No onion.

Had the Mama Mia! It was delicious and tasted freshly made. The Dutch Crunch is a must try and my personal favorite bread. The person who took my order at the front was very friendly, and the person who made my sandwich and gave it to me to go was also very nice. Lots of indoor seating, nice sunroom.

    French Dip

What used to be my favorite sandwich not just in Redding, but my favorite everywhere is now a place I will not go back to. The sourdough roll is still amazing but what used to be a generous amount of roast beef is now one slice that doesn't even cover the bread. $14.99 for this is criminal

    Pastrami with mustard and pickles!

They have high quality ingredients and the owner is in it to win it. Especially like the quality Italian meats and sour dough hoagie option.

Great food, great service, great people. We always go out of our way to go to SFD, best deli in Redding. Their tri-tip sandwich is amazing!

Ask the Community - San Francisco Deli

When and why did they move, to where they are? I thought their previous location, on Athens, was the best one, for them.

They still are on Athens, just moved half a block to a bigger building.

Fresh Romaine leaves and croutons and the grilled chicken was moist with a nice, tasty grill on the outside while easy to bite through. I couldn't stop eating it. You have about 7 choices of dressing which the put on the side so you can choose how much. $14.50 but it could easily feed 2 people. The sandwich was so big I had it for 2 meals. The turkey was juicy with sourdough bread, good cheddar cheese, not overly mayonnaised, and a few large leaves of lettuce. I had the best hike after this delicious 1/2 of the sandwich. Ate the other the day prior and it was so delicious I scarfed it down forgetting to take a picture. $14.49 and again can feed 2 people. This place stays really busy for a reason - exceptional food and great service. If I lived in Redding, this would be a dangerous place for me.

In a warehouse less than 100 yards away was "Dill's Deli". What a perfect place to eat a last minute meal! They have hot or cold meat sandwiches, BBQ, salads, and even an early morning 6am breakfast menu for road warriors. My hot pastrami sandwich was superb! The service was great. The ambience was a slightly upgraded warehouse with tables and chairs. I was very satisfied with my hot sandwich and plan to grab on to bring on the road for tomorrow's drive.

I'm a sucker for their Monte Cristo sandwich and my husband always gets their eggs. Their hash browns are perfectly crispy, and he likes their blackberry jam. Had the BEST Monte Cristo I have EVER had!…read more We're in Redding for the weekend and turned to Yelp to find a breakfast spot--so glad it led us to Trendy's! The reviews were spot on because Trendy's did NOT disappoint. I love a good Monte Cristo and have tried a lot of them, but this one is hands-down the best I've ever had. The ham and turkey tasted like something straight out of grandma's kitchen on a special holiday, the cheese was melted perfectly, and the bread-to-meat-to-cheese ratio was absolute perfection. The service was just as amazing--Alma, our waitress, suggested I try the mango jam with it. I was hesitant (I'm usually a berry jam girl), but WOW... it was so good I ended up taking some home! My husband ordered the BEN sandwich and said it was delicious. He also had the fresh-squeezed orange juice, which brought back sweet memories of his grandma making it for him in a little amber glass when he was younger. Portion sizes are generous, prices are fair, and parking was easy--which is always a win. If you're passing through or local to the area, make sure you stop by Trendy's for breakfast or brunch. There's a reason they have so many great reviews! *REVIEW UPDATE* It was so good the first time we went back today! My Husband had the steak tacos and said they were AMAZING! I have a sensitive tummy and sometimes finding a good mix of carbs and protein can be a challenge. I ordered just a scrambled egg and since the turkey in the Monte Cristo was so good I ordered turkey all by itself for an added little protein! Dipped it in their homemade jam of course! For my carbs I ordered a pancake. (Kind of apprehensive about that from a prior review I read...) that review was way off! If that pancake was from a box please let me know who makes it cause it was so fluffy and yummy! As we sat outside we saw many people come in and out and the employees greeted many of them by name! I almost wish I lived closer so I could be a regular too! Sorry no pics This time as we are before we thought about it!
