I've been on a recent chai kick so made a recent stop here on the way home, to try out their Chai Latte and their crepes. Needless to say to say, did not disappoint as the Nutella x Strawberry crepe was amazing. Strawberries were super fresh, and the Nutella spread wasn't overbearing. It's a very small place but it was pretty full of people so it's a neighborhood staple I suppose. Super small shop in Burbank. I have only gotten a few items here before but recently got their matcha. Definitely won't come back for the matcha as it tasted really water down and not higher grade like other stores. There is this sandwich croissant that has Nutella that was delicious especially when it is warm! The coffee here is a bit strong so if you like it like that then definitely you need to try it. I am a bit caffeine sensitive so I think it is a bit strong but my partner says otherwise. Service is usually quick and easy. read more

The quantities in the bake case are limited but I am hopeful that's because they make everything fresh daily and when selections are gone, they're gone until the next day. Day old pastries aren't good and you can tell. Especially croissants. I have ordered iced lattes both times I've been in and the espresso beans they're using are tasty! It's strong and robust in flavor but not bitter. It's smooth and enjoyable coffee. It's awesome to have a cafe that serves yummy food and coffee. Oftentimes, it's one or the other. The interior of the cafe is tiny and cramped. When there is more than four people inside, it's a dance to get out of people's way. We stopped by yesterday morning and so glad that we went before they were sold out. The staff was friendly and welcoming as soon as you got in. We got the classic kouign amann, an almond kouign amann, a chocolate croissant and their version of a cinnamon roll. Everything was so good! I read other reviews that stated the kouign amanns weren't crispy but that was not the case yesterday. It was perfectly crispy and soft on the inside. We devoured everything so quickly. For lunch, we got Le Nordique on the baguette and the portobello mushroom on ciabatta. Le Nordique c'est tres magnifique, from the generous amount of salmon to the crunch of the baguette. The portobello has a nice pesto, and I really wish I had gotten it on the baguette, though the ciabatta was tasty also. Loved the fresh veggies. The desserts are buttery and sugary and indulgent. We got the raspberry tartelette on this visit, which was the right balance of creamy and sweet for me. I'm a sucker for raspberry anything! I've previously tried their Kouign Amann which is, to put it bluntly, a fucking MUST. This is what they're known for and it's absolutely worth every last crumb you scrape out of your bag. This was also the best iced chai latte I've had in weeks, so cheers to you guys! Small neighborhood shop in our area. It's been few attempts to like this place since it's so close to us. Their online posted schedule doesn't always align with the physical availability. It's closed when it says it should be open. The few times that we caught it open, it was not up to par...croissants are probably the worse things I've had there. Small, dense, crispy...if you love croissants...it disappoints for a French bakery. Coffee seems to be good. Most rooms are having coffee. Their pastry selection is not abundant. I think the first time was cause they were still warm as I came right when they opened. I'll give them 4/5. I'd def still come back and return prolly at opening again. Loved to stop by the French Rooster for the La Complete savory crêpe, pastries or to find imported French goodies. The owners/staff used to be very welcoming and their enthusiasm was contagious. Since the change of ownership, it has been a hit or miss and I'm not surprised the recent reviews are indicating the transition being noticeable as well. Some days you get a warm welcome with great service and others, your presence not acknowledged and not feeling as comfortable to ask questions. There are also less options/availability of pastries. Overall, I still enjoy the little cafe atmosphere but this is no longer one of my favorite local spots. read more

I was told it would take about 25 mins so I ordered a double espresso and a cannelé to consume while waiting. There are no chairs, but there is a tiny little bar, and I was alone for 5 mins before about 15 different people showed up. It was packed inside, and some waited outside. Wild. The place isn't 5 star dining, but the foid sure delivers! Sofy at the register was lovely, too. She was helpful and charming. Will definitely return and I recommend to all. Currently they are in a soft reopen phase and only Wednesday to Friday, 11 am to 4 pm. Worth making the window, but hopefully they'll be fully open soon. read more

Since this place went under new management it's been really great! I run a business in the same complex and I love heading over to be greated with a smile, sending my clients over to grab a delicious treat and excellent coffee. Their "little snails" which are cinnamon roll things are my favorite but don't sleep on the cardamon coffee and crepes! You may have a bit of a wait for your order as there is usually one person working and the local spot can be busy! The place is tiny with outdoor only seating. Lots of street parking is available. The was the best customer service I've received in years! Andrew behind the counter gave amazing suggestions and seemed to really love his job. I went in for a few things and came out with a bag full, including yummy French sandwiches to go that reminded me of our trip to Paris. My son loved the breakfast sandwich the the croissants were off-the-hook. I had the opportunity to meet Scott, the owner as well. Big heart, smile and humble. Unfortunately, my husband and I's experience here was disappointing. We ordered both food and drinks. After about 15 minutes, we received our drinks and they were awful. The matcha tasted extremely watered down, really just like water with milk- no flavor at all. I highly recommend skipping the matcha. We waited over 45 minutes for our food. Two parties that arrived after us received their food orders before us. After that long of a wait--for just a crepe and a sandwich--we had no choice but to cancel our order and request a refund. we simply couldn't keep waiting.
