Chocolate lava cake

San Marco never disappoints! Enjoyed the special venison with mushroom risotto, also veal saltimbocca and chocolate lava cake for a final finish. Family affair all around. Merica our favorite wait staff is a sweetheart .

I came here for a family dinner. The setting is intimate and dark. However, the table next to us were so loud and obnoxious! The restaurant is tiny and the layout is a little odd. However, the food makes up for it. I ordered the linguine with seafood and it was delish! The restaurant filled up pretty quick and they had just opened so I recommend making a reservation.

We came here for my nieces birthday dinner. There were eight of us. The ambience is fabulous. The waiter was simply fantastic. He communicated well. He was attentive without being over, bearing, he had jokes, he knew the menu inside and out. The food was pretty good, the ravioli we had for an appetizer was simply amazing, the sauce was wonderful. I had the veal Parmesan that had an eggplant Parmesan on top minus the veal. I think it was about 35 or $40 that's pretty steep for eggplant Parmesan what I was surprised about is that , it didn't come with a side of spaghetti. I've never been anywhere that they serve chicken Parmesan or veal Parmesan or eggplant Parmesan without a side of spaghetti. Our bill ended up being about $800 for eight people. Well I can't say that I went home hungry we were not particularly full, it is obvious that all the food is cooked in house and cooked with pride. I think I might try some other options the next time we visit for dessert I thought I ordered baked apples, but it ended up being apple pie. I don't really like apple pie, but this one was pretty good, the cinnamon ice cream was good too. So I'm giving them five stars, even though I was not 100% down with the product size for the price just for the parmesans. Live and learn, and I put that on myself for not looking carefully at the pictures in yelp and not asking questions. Everything that came out of that kitchen smelled and looked fantastic. Also, a nice touch, I believe the owner greets you at the door and when you sit and then comes by during the meal to make sure everything is OK. That's a super nice touch. You can tell that he is very passionate about his business and I appreciate that.

Food was great! Apps, entrees and dessert; delicious. Portions were small but perfectly filling. Luca (our servers assistant) was friendly & attentive! His service is what pushed this review to 4/5 stars! Dining room is small but nice decor and quaint! Would definitely go back.

Second time at San Marco. Ordered the same appetizers as the last time-scallops and Ravioli with banana peppers. Still super delicious. For entries, we had the venison steak, wild boar and wild mushroom pasta. All very good, fulfilling but not stuffed. We looked at the dessert menu, key lime pie and lava cake both looked very good, but we decided not to have desserts, since we were already very satisfied with dinner

Interesting - the pizzas were prepared by an Indian chef who was manning the stone oven. He came over to meet us on his way out at 10 PM. He was very friendly and we enjoyed meeting him. The calamari appetizer $19 was delicious but pricey. Alcohol always runs up the bill. Two glasses of wine and one glass of Prosecco put our bill to $82 with tax. I liked the Italian pottery decor. The bar area looked inviting and nice with the triangular shaped wooden shelving and yellow lights. Our server was friendly and helpful. I would come back for good Italian food. Probably for a special occasion.

French toast with ricotta whipped cream and berries, crab cake benny, but the smoked salmon toast and baked eggs won out. The toast had tangy Roquefort crumbles and pesto on it. I don't always like smoked salmon, especially if it's mushy... This was nice quality salmon. It was a thicker piece and not mushy at all. I really enjoyed this toast. The baked eggs were two over easy eggs on top of potatoes, peppers, mushrooms, and onions. The menu said it had pancetta, but I didn't notice any. Also got a peach Bellini, even though it was super sweet... It was very tasty. Their coffee, also... Superb! So many times you go places and the coffee is just blah. I don't know what they're using, but I really liked it. There were tons of choices for brunch, including meatballs and sausage, salad, soup, and your regular breakfast fair. We will definitely be back for brunch again. The service was also super efficient, I think we asked for more coffee three or four times.

Eggplant Caprese 9/10 Very crispy eggplant breading. The eggplant itself was cooked good. There was also more eggplant than there was Mozz and tomato- so I would suggest adding another couple slices to balance out every bite. I'd add a touch more balsamic too. Bison sliders 8/10 Meat was good, the slider burgers were pretty thick and juicy. I would recommend since they were so think maybe cooking them a minute less for a more medium cook. I liked the goat cheese paired with the meat but you really couldn't taste it, i wish there was more. I'm not sure if it was the onion jam or the blueberry BBQ but something was a little spicy. Bbq pork belly tacos 7/10 The pork was cooked great, and the bbq was a good flavor. I liked the idea behind the double shell (one hard, one corn tortilla), but I think it would have worked better if it was a flour tortilla because both shells ended up breaking and I needed to use a fork to eat it. Between the hard shell and the sweet potato crisps, there was too much crunch for me. I did like the pairing of the pineapple with the BBQ sauce.

There was a steady number of people coming in for dinner while I was there. The owner/bartender was super cool and helpful when it came to picking out a quick bite. I ended up trying the chicken pintxo and I had a charcuterie board as well. I'm not as much of a drinker anymore but they had such a great selection of wines here that I would have been able to choose from a wide variety. The chicken pintxo was great. It had a really good flavor. The skewers were shorter which was nice to try to get the food off. The bread was great and they were a really great bite. The charcuterie board had the usual components and I ate it quickly before I could get the photo, but it also had sour patch gummy bears on it which was incredibly cool. I was happy with the cheddar, brie, and assorted meats but the gummy bears made it unique and fun. I will definitely be coming back here to try more of the menu next time.

While the covering does a great job of shielding you from the sun, we discovered that it's not quite sufficient for heavy rain. We ordered a bottle of Montepulciano--a bolder, pleasant wine that paired wonderfully with the stuffed mushrooms and charcuterie board we selected. Although the menu listed the wine as a 2015 vintage, we received a 2019 bottle. The bartender was courteous about the mix-up, and we decided to stick with the 2019. The charcuterie board comes in three sizes, and we opted for the medium one. If you're unsure about the portion sizes, I've included a picture with this review. The charcuterie was an excellent choice, with the olives and cheeses being particular standouts. We also enjoyed the sausage-stuffed mushrooms, which were delicious. Overall, this is a lovely and comfortable place for light snacks and drinks. We look forward to returning in the future.

The ambiance is warm, relaxed, and perfect for everything from date night to catching up with friends over a bottle (or two... no judgment here). Speaking of wine, the selection is massive. Whether you're a wine connoisseur or someone who usually orders "the red one," there's something for everyone. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and will help you to navigate the menu or try a sample first before you buy a glass/bottle. The food was just as impressive as the wine. Everything we ordered was delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. It's the kind of place where you tell yourself you're just there for a glass of wine and then somehow end up ordering appetizers because everything sounds too good to pass up. Great atmosphere, incredible wine selection, amazing food, and a staff that deserves a standing ovation (and probably a raise). Symposium Wine Bar absolutely knocked it out of the park, and we'll definitely be back. Cheers!

We made reservations online at the restaurant's website after reading reviews and viewing photos…read morethat this might be a cozier sized restaurant. Mind you this place is located near UB South, on Main Street so traffic can get tricky if you don't know what you're doing or where you're going. There is street parking, but during peak hours you might be hard pressed to find a spot. We walked in after parking on the street, and the door was propped open and the garage style window was open bringing a nice breeze into the restaurant. The entry way is accessible as it is a small incline walk in which is great for those who are using wheelchairs/canes/walkers. We went to the hostess booth and informed we had a reservation and were promptly sat near the patio window area so we definitely could people watch. Our waitress was patient and sweet while we tried to decide what we wanted of all the delicious options to be had. The restaurant does have a specials menu that may rotate out on the day, they'll post the specials on their website before opening is my understanding. Drinks: We both had water, I got a blackberry smash, and he had two grapefruit flavored beer (which was delicious and I'm not a beer person superbly). My blackberry smash was pretty strong and tasty- it lasted past the meal which is a good sign in my book to savor it. Dinner: He got the shrimp po boy (fried shrimp,Tabasco garlic sauce, lettuce, tomato, onion, blue cheese crumble), on a roll and it comes with sweet potato fries. The shrimp was beautifully cooked and crispy with a well appropriately coated. The sweet potato fries were tangy and delicious. I got the blackened halibut kabobs (coconut rice, pineapple salsa, soy-sesame glaze). And a side of the rosemary Mac and cheese. The kabobs were so delicious- the halibut fell apart and was tender. Coconut rice was on point with the pineapple salsa, it was like a meal and a dessert at the same time. There were some peppers that had a kick so I gave them to him to eat and he loved them. I didn't even get to the Mac and cheese because the halibut was so filling! He had some Mac and cheese though and really enjoyed it. I had it boxed up for me to have a nice snack. This was a very pleasant surprise. Tangy and delicious and hit the nail on head for taste and service.
